Initial Proof of Work Supply (Done): Apprx. 1 Million
Hard Supply Limit: 9 Million
Practical Supply Limit: Less than 3 Million

I didn't realize the amount of coins is so low.
Looking at the amount of coins, the potential of the coin and the enthusiastic team behind it, this coin is heavily undervalued.

57:26 - Crowdsale/BnkToTheFuture
Christian asked about the next crowdsale, which Greg answered by saying that the BnkToTheFuture project will be starting very soon, and there will be an interview with them soon (it was scheduled, but had to be delayed).

Scala developers are most welcome and will be rewarded in AMPs!

That should be a real boost for the price of AMP.

Just wanted to say a public thank you to  jasemoney for handling all the translations. Its a huge help!

Here is a current node list, for anyone who may need it.

Maybe you could put the node-list in the OP, makes it easy to find for everyone without browsing 13+ pages Wink

That's some serious bug squashing!
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: February 03, 2016, 05:47:01 PM
Factom is one of the most exciting developments for 2015.

Transparent, real faces and near unlimited possibilities for real world use.
I'm looking forward to where this goes.

I could not have said it better myself  Grin

I got out today.

Maybe I'll get back in again but for now there's not much happening, it's pretty much a dead coin.
I'm glad you did because AMP will reach 50k sats per coin when the beta comes out.

If anyone is interested in how "Fartbags" really feels about this project, here it is:

-snip-
I remember this guy who missed the train. Actually he thinks he did but he didn't as the train hasn't even started yet.

Beta? Is anyone still coding? I was told it's abandoned and no real development for months.
You're a fool if you trust some fudders. The beta is about to out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=995987.msg13517085#msg13517085
Also, there are weekly updates on the blog: http://blog.synereo.com/
Always do your own research.

FML...

Should I get back in?

Be your own judge.

I got in today, new Beta coming up soon. But it's my money, my investment, my loss.

Hello?
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 30, 2016, 01:07:34 PM
Just downloaded latest Mist.
Does anyone know why it doesn't sync/starts? It's 4 hours like this, it doesn't move, tried close and reopen but nothing...

 Huh

Make Windows sync with a NTP-server to synchronize the clock.
If your clock is off too much, you can't connect to other peers.

Maybe the developers could put up a message in the splashscreen, like "make sure your clock is in sync, otherwise bla bla bla".

I submitted a coinrequest at PoloniEx Smiley

Especially this part makes Radium suitable for PoloniEx:

Hmm, fired up the new client but it's doesn't connect.

Anyone who has some addnodes?
Is the config file still "bitcoin.conf"?

Thankyou!

I just got Phase 2.2 done, and the ANN updated. It is an important update, fixing an issue with registration. Many other small fixes and improvements. Check it out!  Smiley

Seems to be running well.
Staked coins keep coming in!
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: January 26, 2016, 06:02:42 PM
Look at Ether, pumped without any visible reason.
But the 'pump' is not followed by the usual dump. Thats not a contrived pump. Thats a rotation of funds from BTC, because of people speculating that ETH now has a better chance of real-world adoption than BTC, while BTC's blocksize/scalability/consensus problems continue.

It s still too early to say whether we re going to see a dump or not. I d bet 60% we re going to see Ether dump withing this week. I just do not see a basis for 300% growth withing 2 weeks time and I ve seen these pumps many times so far.

For an ordinary "pump and dump" clone altcoin I would say "yes, you're right!"

But Ethereum is nothing like that, it's potential is huge and I think we just ain't seen nothing yet.

Ethereum for dummies is a nice video that shows what it's potential is, though we could use a shorter version of the video.

Same for Factom, today's price is not even relevant for what it will be when they achieve their goals.

2016/2017 will be a great year for Bitcoin 2.0 projects.

Just want to say: staking works great! Smiley

Only got those suckers in my wallet for 9 hours and PoS-mined 2 blocks already!

Well, this has been hidden well for me, only learned it exists from the Factom topic.

Can anyone give me 5 real life use case examples for this coin?

I can give you 4, off the top of my head. There will be more as I can add more features to the SmartChain.  Feature 1 is avalibel in the existing client linked in the ANN.  Features 2-4 are in Beta testing, and should be ready very soon, code gods willing.

1) Bob wants to receive Radium coins, but does not want to look up his address every time he wants to receive a payment. Bob Can use the SmartChain to  link his address to his username "Bob", and then customers can simply use the SmartChain to lookup bobs address directly from the client. In effect, we have created a username-address "phone book".

2) Bob wants everyone to know that he predicts Carolina will win the Superbowl.  Bob makes a text note, saying "my name is bob, and I predict Carolina will win the Superbowl"  and records it in the blockchain. If Alice doubts bob made that prediction, Bob tell Alice to look at the note in the SmartChain. Alice can see exactly when Bob made the note, so there is proof of Bobs prediction.

3) Bob makes some software, and posts it online. He also records the file hash in in the blockchain with the SmartChain client.  Alice can now download Bobs software, and use the SmartChain to check it against the hash that bob recorded. If it is the same file, the file will verify, and Allice can rest assured the software she downloaded is the original software from Bob.

4) Tom hacks Bobs website where he is offering his software for download, and replaces bobs software with a virus.  Alice downloads the virus, and uses the SmartChain to check the hash of the file. Because the file is different, the SmartChain will tell Alice it does not recognize the file, and Alice will know that something is amiss.

Great stuff!

You've sold me.
But why is it so cheap?

wonder how market will react to when they find out factom competition radium coin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1333026.msg13654492#msg13654492

market cap 30,000 dollars yet

Radium is a very valid competition to other currencies that offer blockchain based services.

I don't understand why the marketcap is so low, probably because it's only listed on C-Cex so far. From reading the Radium SmartChain thread, their blockchain utility includes username-address linkage, id verification, asset transfer, text notes, file hashes, and file verification.

Factom has first-mover advantage, plus a lot of exposure in the media.

i feel like factom and the radium smartchain both have a place in the cryptoverse...they have two very different approaches of using the blockchain for different applications...and im excited to see both of them used and also see how they progress in the future

I do too, I think there's more than enough pie to share right now.

Innovations like Factom, Ethereum, Radion and other "Blockchain 2.0 technology" will be the big surprise of 2016.
Other altcoins are dropping because they have no added value over Bitcoin.

Though I invested some money in Factom and Ethereum, I'm even more interested in the changes they will bring to business and record-keeping.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: January 20, 2016, 12:28:27 PM
Will the master passphrase (which I got from Koinify) be valid "forever" to recover your FCT?

Is it something like a private-key?

Looking at where this great project is going, I'm planning to hold for another 1.5 / 2 years and don't want to discover that my FCT are gone when I try to "dig them up".

Volume likely bears to zero. Tomorrow will drop below 1 BTC perhaps. Notably, roadmap says the network of federated servers should have been rolled out by the end of q3 but from what im seeing there is only one 1 out of 8 servers so far. P2p consensus mechanism is expected to be revealed in q4, between oct and dec. They have less than 70 days till the end of the year to fulfill their promises on those two milestones. What if they gonna prolong their development till march or may, 2016 or beyond that? If so, it won't save the price, only extend the dying process cause there seem not to be any deep pockets supporting the price, look at the buy side, twin 20K dump could get it below 36K in a wink of an eye. Smells fishy to me, large team of coders, advisers and marketing gurus behind this coin, and nobody's worried about the price.

I'm not worried about price, only worried about development.
And that's what they're working on. It's the end result that counts. Coding is always based on the Pareto principle...
