982  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] XFX Radeon 7870 GHz Edition DOUBLE D on: March 07, 2014, 03:08:43 PM
Hey guys,

I'm selling a lightly used(only a few weeks old. Ordered on 17Feb2014) 7870 GHz edition XFX branded card. I'll be able to post pictures later tonight after I get home from work with my bitcointalk.org username in the picture. I have the box and everything but the UPC is cut out of it because of the rebate I sent in for.

This is the product link on Newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150605

Willing to sell this for the Bitstamp BTC equivalent of $180 PM me offers or post here! + .02 BTC to ship. Of course, because I'm still a newbie, escrow will be required unless you really don't want to use it. Buyer will pay escrow fees and will have to locate an escrow service that we both can trust.

Again, pics will be posted up tonight.

Sorry these pics are kind of crappy, taken with my phone.

how many do you need in preorders to get that discount? any ballpark? maybe get a group buy going here?

i'd be interested in stackable units that can support 2 PSU's and then a box fan if possible. the box fan mount isn't necessary but would be a nice touch for sure! how far apart are the GPU's mounted?

also, have you looked into creating the rig in a way that the cards are oriented in a vertical way to blow the air up out of the vents? i built my own angled aluminum rig this way(i did a very poor job LOL) and to me it seems like it would be just a tad more efficient in terms of dissipating the heat. just a thought...

so, i've been messing around with a 9800GTX and can't seem to figure this out... when i tried L32x8, it says "requires too much memory" and then switches to F32x8. i'm trying to mine MAX with this... it's going at roughly 3mh/s. does that sound right? anyone with a 9800 GTX get this working? haven't found any shares yet at this rate, and when i autotune it only hashes at about 1.2mh/s. my GPU load right now is sitting at 12% so i don't think it's really working.

any help would be great!

Custom colors would be cool, but I think I'd just stick with a plain look, since it's just going to be stored away anyway.

Any future plans on having a 20" box fan mount for the back of the rig or something? Or like add-on parts for that? If not a box fan, what about 120mm, 140mm, or 200mm computer case fan mounting points?
986  Economy / Service Discussion / BTER deposits not going through? BTER SCAM? on: February 18, 2014, 07:16:53 PM
Is anyone else having issues with bter? I've sent over 101 MAX coins early this morning, and checking the blockchain on MAX coin was showing well over 100 confirmations, yet there is NOTHING listed in my bter account. I've tried the "Sync" button, I've tried logging out and back in, and I sent an email to the support and admin for their site. Haven't heard anything yet and it's been about 5 hours now. Nothing is even showing up as pending... What can I do to get my coins back or did they steal them?

This guy is awesome! I just bought 4 risers from him with BTC and it went right through. It was my first time buying with BTC so I sent an email to the address that was listed for any questions or concerns just to confirm that he received it. He responded immediately and said that he received the order. Just wanted to give a shout out to him and that I will definitely be a repeat customer when I further expand my setup!

Just wanted to post this to give anyone peace of mind in case they may have been hesitant on buying from him!
