Once again Ireland wasted a good opportunity to restrict Zimbabwe to a low score. They had them at 78/5. But then allowed Ryan Burl and Clive Madande to take Zimbabwe to a decent total of 165/5. And today all of the Irish bowlers were expensive. Two of their best (Josh Little and Craig Young) went for more than 8 runs per over. In case of Young, he did some sort of a comeback after being hit or 22 in his opening over. And in return, Ireland has already lost three crucial wickets. Required run rate is still less than 9 runs per over, and therefore there is still a chance for them to win this match.

I didn't think I would get the results of Test matches in such a short time but Bangladesh and New Zealand didn't waste any extra time. The match would have ended on the third day had the rain not stopped play. The Bangladeshi batsmen came out to bat on the wicket in the second innings and they quickly returned to the pavilion. In the second innings Bangladesh lost all the wickets and managed to score only 144 runs, on the other hand New Zealand secured an easy victory in the second Test against Bangladesh with four wickets in hand. The result of the first test was in favor of Bangladesh and the result of the second test was in favor of New Zealand Test series draw.

Well.. there was no point in batting defensively on this minefield. It was offering a lot of undue advantage for the spinners (both for those from New Zealand and Bangladesh). Batsmen who actually scored runs in this match, such as Glenn Phillips actually went on the attack mode rather than batting cautiously. Bangladeshi batsmen also tried to attack, but they ended up smashing all the balls without differentiation and this resulted in their downfall. All credit to Ajaz Patel and rest of the New Zealand bowlers. They finally got their line, length and variation right.

Japan vs Sri Lanka

As all we know that Asian Cricket Council competition has begun and two matches of this competition was played yesterday. In current day, two matches are being played and one of them is Sri Lanka squad against Japan squad. This match has ended a short while ago. In this match, Japan squad performance was too much bad and also disappointing because this was a ODI match mean total 50 overs but their squad just made 75 scores only and then all batters were got out on crease. 75 scores was last target they gave to Sri Lanka squad. Sri Lanka was lost three batters and emerge victory in today match and they easily defend this low quality target on just 12.5 overs. Other match is also continued between Bangladesh squad against UAE sqaud. Let's see in this match who will emerge victory.

Japan put up a decent performance. First they were struggling at 35/8, but then added 40 more runs for the last two wickets thanks to Charles Hinze and Kiefer Lake. And while bowling, they managed to take 3 Sri Lankan wickets, with Kiefer Lake taking two and Kazuma Kato-Stafford taking one. Not a very bad performance from someone who is playing in a major ACC tournament for the first time. Japan has two more matches remaining, against Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates and I hope that they will be able to improve upon their performance.

Incredible match between New Zealand and Bangladesh at Mirpur. As I posted yesterday, Bangladeshi batsmen became a bit overconfident and tried to accumulate runs as quickly as possible. And this resulted in them getting bowled out for just 144 runs in their second innings. Even then, a target of 137 batting last was not going to be easy. But from a position of 69/6, Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner put up a 70-run stand for the 7th wicket and guided New Zealand towards a victory. Series ends at 1-1 and this is an excellent result for New Zealand.

It's all happening in the test match. New Zealand is 6 down and needs another 58 runs to win the match. By the look of it, Bangladesh is in complete control, and if they get the wicket of Phillips, they will surely be a few steps away from a historic win. Phillips looks dangerous and in a hurry, because he knows that against these spinners on a spinning track, defensive is not an option.
This test match is getting more interesting with every passing over. These low-scoring chases are a thriller and a treat to watch for the fans.

47 runs to win now, with 4 wickets remaining. Perhaps for the first time in this match, New Zealand is having a higher win probability than Bangladesh. The 7th wicket partnership between Glenn Phillips and Mitchell Santner has added 21 runs till now. If these two can stay there for some more time, then New Zealand can win this match. Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee and Ajaz Patel to come next. The first two players mentioned here are decent batsmen. Tea has been taken, and the play will resume after 15 minutes.

Looks like Bangladesh is struggling against United Arab Emirates in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup. They are 177/6 after 41 overs. Obviously UAE is entirely comprised of expats from India and Pakistan, but I didn't expected them to have an advantage at the U-19 level. In the other match, Japan was bowled out for 75 runs versus Sri Lanka. For this match Japan included 3 natives in their playing XI (Koji Abe, Shotaro Hiratsuka and Chihaya Arakawa). And at one point they were 35/8, but the partnership between Charles Hinze and Kiefer Lake took them to a less disastrous total.

After winning the World Cup in 1975 and 1979, the team would be runner-up in 1983 and since then the team has not seen any ODI World Cup champions. They have been on a gradual decline. It is a shameful chapter for them they did not qualify for this year's World Cup. The foundation of their cricket is constantly weakening. They took steps to come out of this stage but no results were found. Despite their recent poor form in cricket, they got a win against England in the 1st match which was really impressive. It is unrealistic to expect such a victory from them. I think they are only fit to play short format of cricket.

West Indies created this problem for themselves. First of all, they doesn't represent any single nation, but around two dozen different island nations. Given this, there is always issues with team selection, with some of the island nations constantly complaining that their players are being ignored for team selection. Then there is the race issue. Non-black and Non-Christian players have always complained of bias against them, and it is very evident in the mistreatment that has happened in the past with Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ravindranath Rampaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan.

With Ronaldo al Nassr is a lot better and it was shown in this game with an easy win for Al Nassr. The difference is still 7 points and Al Nassr can still keeo fighting in the league. But Al hilal needs to drop some points to make the league a lot intresting. With how good Al Hilal is playing i dont see them dropping points anywhere.

Al Nassr lost the match against Al Hilal on 1st December and that cemented the position of the latter as the table-toppers. The one to one clash also showed which one is the superior team. As things stand, Al Hilal is at the top by a long distance with 44 points, with Al Nassr at a distant second with 37 points. And at third position we have the surprise package of Al Taawoun with 31 points. It was a disappointing match for Al Nassr. Both the teams were fielding full-strength squads (with Al Hillal fielding Sergej Milinković-Savić, Salem Al-Dawsari, Aleksandar Mitrović and Malcom, while Al Nassr fielding Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, Talisca and Marcelo Brozović). Given this Al Nassr doesn't have any excuse for the defeat.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: December 09, 2023, 04:06:50 AM
I believe India could make a comeback in the second T20. In the first T20 England got two players Wyatt and Sciver-Brunt scoring 70+ runs. For India strong scoring came from Verma 52 runs. Few more players should've contributed big runs. Also 197 runs isn't easy to chase. India reached 159/6, and this time India might bat first trying to set good target whereas in the first T20 India women won the toss and decided to bowl.

At least in women's cricket, India is a level lower than England and teams like Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. But this time, they are playing at home and were expected to make use of the home conditions. That didn't happened during the first match. One thing that may have helped England is the fact that a lot of their players are participating in the Women's Premier League (WPL) and are therefore familiar with Indian grounds such as the Wankhede. The second match will start by 7pm Indian time. It will be shown live on Sports18 1 HD, and streamed live on JioCinema.

Pure Lust of US$.
If there was no weath involved they would forget about it.
Chavez and his chancelor Madure gave Guyana the rights to explore Esequibio.

https://bnn.network/world/venezuela/unraveling-the-essequibo-dispute-a-historical-and-political-perspective/

It has happened a lot many times during the last 1-2 decades, right? If there was no oil, do you really think that the NATO would have invaded either Iraq or Libya? Also no one cares about the ongoing conflict in Yemen, because there is no oil there. But a lot of attention is being given to Syria at the same time. What is going to happen is that the US will take advantage of this situation and will establish their military bases in Guyana, similar to the case with Middle East. The Guyanese government will be forced to sell all of their oil fields to US corporations. In the end, the Guyanese public will lose out.

Two very interesting matches scheduled for today for the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup. In the first match, United Arab Emirates Under-19s will be taking on Bangladesh Under-19s. This is going to be a very tough match for Bangladesh and a defeat would raise a lot of questions regarding their funding from ICC. The second match is between Japan Under-19s and Sri Lanka Under-19s at the ICC Academy Ground No 2. I am not expecting any miracles in the second match, but it will be good to see the progress made by Japan.

Matches will be telecasted live on the YouTube channel of Asian Cricket Council.

BBL#13, SYS vs MLR: It was mistake to take single in 19th over's last ball and give strike to Rogers when Sutherland needed to be on strike. Roger making 10 out of 12, when every dot was building pressure was cause of lose for MLR.

Really don't know what was going through the mind of Tom Rogers. He made 10 from 12 runs when Melbourne Renegades needed 28 runs from 2 overs. But then all credit to the two bowlers from Sydney Sixers who bowled the 19th and 20th overs - Ben Dwarshuis and Sean Abbott. They bowled in a very disciplined manner and never allowed Rogers to free his arms. Abbott managed to deliver 3 dot balls in his over. And more importantly, they managed to keep Will Sutherland away from strike for most of the duration.

Play has resumed and the two Bangladeshi batsmen out there (Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque) actually look very comfortable against the combination of Ajaz Patel and Tim Southee. At this point, Bangladesh leads by 42 runs and IMO they need another 120-130 runs to ensure the victory. Weather prediction is very clear and there is a good chance that Bangladesh may reach their optimal total by the first session itself. That would mean that they will have 60-65 overs today to bowl out New Zealand. If there are no surprises or interruptions, then we will get a result by end of today.

The bowling was the best decision made by the Samp army bowler, because he gave only 1 run in the first over of the match and made the batsman to get more pressure of no huge runs. Before the end of the Ninth over,in the eighth over the stand of the New York Strikers had loss two wickets with just 68 runs was not the good run in this ground. Then we had come to know the next 3 wickets was tried only for 60 runs and it made them to reach of 121 runs at the end of 10 over. The mistake made by the batsmen of the Samp army to chase the small make up run of 121 runs in just 10 overs.

It was a strategic mistake from the part of the Samp Army captain (Faf du Plessis) to open the bowling with Bas de Leede. He conceded 34 runs from his 12 balls. We already saw this multiple times during the 2023 ODI World Cup. De Leede crumbles under pressure and he doesn't have the capability to maintain his line and length under pressure situations. Jason Holder on the other hand conceded just 16 runs from his 2 overs. Anyway, the Deccan Gladiators are through the finals and they will be facing New York Strikers today.

LLC (Legends League Cricket) has issues a legal notice to Sreesanth, for his outburst against Gautam Gambhir.

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/news/llc-issues-legal-notice-to-s-sreesanth-amid-the-former-indian-pacers-row-with-gautam-gambhir/articleshow/105835338.cms?from=mdr

Gambhir had called Sreesanth a "fixer" and the bowler made a public statement against it in front of media. The legal notice requests Sreesanth to remove the videos that he made after the altercation. All that said, I have a feeling that all this is a pre-recorded script from the organizers, just to make the Legends League Cricket more popular and stay in media limelight.

Yeah, I agree there is much hypocrisy and problems within the democrat party, it would be easier for the Republican party to win over the Democrat party if they did not choose Trump as their leader and current head of the party. If the Republican party remained as it used to be back in the 2000s or mid 2010, when their politics were about conservatism instead of the ideas of Trump, then the Democrat party would be in trouble, facing a more coherent and moderate republican party.

Well.. it goes both ways. Democrats have become more liberal and tilted more to the left, while the Republicans have become more conservative and tilted more to the right and far-right. DINOs and RINOs are now almost extinct. Rare specimens exist though, such as Joe Manchin (Democrat senator for West Virginia, who is a DINO and Lisa Murkowski, the RINO Republican senator from Alaska). And it is not an unnatural change. Electorate has moved to opposite poles. Democrat electorate has become more leftwing, and Republican electorate has become more right-wing. And under such scenarios, we can't really expect the GOP to listen to the moderates. We saw what happened to Kevin McCarthy recently.

When I heard about the referendum and all, my first question was that even if Venezuela want to invade the region (Guayana Esequiba) is it even possible to do that. There are no roads from Venezuelan border to this region and the only route is through the ocean. This region is so remote, and the population density is less than 1 person per sq.km. Aircraft maybe used by Venezuela, but then with zero knowledge of the terrain it is going to be risky as well. In case of Russo-Ukraine war, Russian forces were able to conquer vast areas in quick time as there is good road connectivity. The situation in Guyana is much different.

It was an open book for everyone to read and PCB did right not to cancel their ODI WC. Rambo and everyone knew the realities but as usual, every PCB officials were playing for the gallery because you have to show some resistance in front of a domestic audience.

The truth is if someday PCB decides to boycott any ICC event, I can guarantee you they will go bankrupt.

PCB needs to accept the reality. India contributes to ~80% of the revenue and therefore the ICC needs to make sure that they are not antagonizing the BCCI. As per the new revenue sharing framework, PCB will receive $34.51 million every year from the ICC, and majority of this revenue is sourced from India. Pakistan can become a major revenue generator for the ICC. But they don't want to do that. There are strict government regulations on advertisements and on cable TV. In India they don't have these restrictions, and this is one of the reasons why the revenue from India is much higher when compared to the other sub-continental nations.

Believe me. Slowly but surely mitrovic is going to replace ronaldo's position. This guy was consistently scoring for al hilal even though his performance was not as good as ronaldo but mitrovic potentially to be the top scorer for this season.
Ronaldo is still leading as a top scorer of saudi pro league this season but im sure that mitrovic is going to perform even better than before. Mitrovic is really underrated striker at this moment.

Im hoping that mitrovic will able to surpass ronaldo and i think this is also a good progres for him in the saudi pro league.

Well.. there is a possibility definitely. But as of now, Ronaldo has more goals when compared to Aleksandar Mitrović, despite playing in less number of matches. Anyway, both the players are enjoying out there and the stellar performance for Al Nassr this season will prompt the Portugal national team manager to keep Ronaldo in the squad at least until the end of UEFA qualifiers. And with each passing day, Saudi Professional League is gaining increasing amount of global audience. The next year is going to be even better and we may witness heavyweights such as Kylian Mbappé and Mohamed Salah moving to the league.

The weather forecast says that there is zero chance of rain for the next 2 days. So we need to calculate whether Bangaldesh will get enough time to bowl out New Zealand or not. Theoretically around 180 overs remain in this match. If Bangladesh can add another 150 runs in the next 30 overs, then they can take the lead to 180. And then they will get 150 overs to bowl out New Zealand, which is more than enough. But then the risk factor is not rain, but bad light. If overs are lost tomorrow as well, then it becomes complicated.
