981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy bought more bitcoin on: July 02, 2023, 10:51:54 AM
I will like to know how you people are able to keep track on the Micro Strategy Bitcoin wallet address or is there a place where it's all revealed that I don't know?

Also other companies that are less popular to micro strategy could be doing the same thing too but we aren't aware about them, or maybe we think they are just other whales, well things are looking more bullish, and more adoption will continue to happen.

I don't think that such companies will ever be ready to sell their bags and this amount is not that huge that could cause a massive dump if they want to dump such number into the market and if they dump with time no one will even notice.

I think such companies will have Bitcoin in holding for many years to come because it could be the best backbone asset for their companies present performance and also in the future.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 02, 2023, 10:02:56 AM
The age of 18-21 in California is precise because I have someone living over there I've asked him and he said 18 too, this is not the same in my country because there is no law forbidding kids to never go near gambling, every age is welcome if you know what you are doing, I mean if you know how you can operate a gambling website, the only prevention is the gambling platform age requirements, and I don't believe that all online gambling platforms have this restrictions on their websites unless I am wrong.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A qualified strategy exist in gambling? If yes, come and talk. on: July 02, 2023, 08:46:52 AM
There is no such thing and it's never going to happen, there is no way anyone can be accurate when gambling, it's forever a game of luck and that's why we name it gambling, no matter how good your gambling strategy is, you can't erase losing your money, I would rather gamble responsibly than try to find a strategy, every gambling strategy that targets profits are fake, your gambling strategy must target your own healthy way of gambling, no profits pursue until it comes your way, but before that will happen, you have to be in safe hands and not gamble more than you can afford to lose.
984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin ETFs on: July 01, 2023, 10:33:13 AM
Don't believe in what the media is feeding you, it's possible that the ETF will be rejected or probably another style of manipulating the market, either ways I am thankful that they are doing this because they are keeping the price down and if you are smart to should have taken the advantage already.

There is no need for worries because these people understand the market and they can manipulate it, so if they plan to approve the ETF they will when they feel it's the right time, but it's good that bitcoin doesn't care about the approval or the disapproval, Bitcoin will still do well without it.
985  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Factors that's why others are hesitant to start in crypto on: July 01, 2023, 07:40:22 AM
Fear and scam is two in 1, the reason why some people are not in crypto yet is because they fear of losing money to scam projects, and they also don't know where to start, instead of taking the step to do research, they look for someone they can follow, and if the person they are following are scammers, they end up becoming a victim and the next thing that will come out of their mouth is crypto is scam.

Truth is, some people just presume that crypto generally is scam and they are not ready to view crypto from another angle, maybe they could be wrong, if you are the type that views things from different angles you are a wise one.

It's on us who understand what crypto is all about to start correcting those that just consider that crypto is generally a scam.
986  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 01, 2023, 06:52:40 AM
I like the original post, it's clean and well explained, this is a complaint that I find easier to understand compare to some past complains from few newbie accounts on this forum.

As I was reading through comments page by page,, I get to know that OP used a VPN connection at a time, this might not be the reason why they are holding your money, if it is then they won't be asking for verification, and it's just 6000$ we are talking about here, coming from a very popular casino like sTAKE, that's mean.

Also I will like to ask OP how many times he has won through STAKE, see if you keep winning the house, they will believe that your winnings are not pure, and that you are winning using something that they don't know about.

I had to advice a friend who faced something similar to your to start using more than two online casinos, because he is a lucky fella that wins more than he lost within three months now, I knew they will at one point limit his access and probably seize some money and they did.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turn $40,000 into $4,000,000 with me (Record 1-0) | $60,400 on: July 01, 2023, 05:59:26 AM
God damn! This is the first time that I would feel scared for money that's not mine simply because I don't want to see this amount get flushed down the drain, I hope things work your way.

The problem I have with gambling is quilting, not for me because I don't expect any big money from gambling, but I mean winning some money and calling it a quit seem impossible.

So my advice is, if this goes your way, make sure you take all your profit and use something small again to gamble, do not let the spirit of greed consume you and you use all your gains to gain again because you want to make another high amount of money, this is how some lucky people turn into unlucky.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which League Makes Sports Betting Easy to Win? on: June 29, 2023, 05:45:36 AM
None, because it's gambling, even your analysis can't keep you from losing, a performing soccer team today will fumble when you don't expect, you need to gamble with what you can afford to lose, don't believe that whatever you gathered is the accurate analysis and things will work out in the exact expectation.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first purchase in btc: the craziest, the most moving, the most expensive on: June 28, 2023, 07:52:31 AM
Hello,

What was your first purchase in btc that was a special event for you : it was nice, cute, exciting or great. If you hodl, will you ever spend your btc ?

If you're a dreamer, what would be your dream ?
I was excited, the first Bitcoin purchase became successful and that money came from starving myself through my pocket money, I went through big hardships to make my crypto dream come true and a year later I started enjoying the fruit of my labor, this journey turns my soft ass into a hard ambitious ass and I am proud about everything.

The exact feeling I felt back then was I am not investing enough, I hardly have a 100$ invested in Bitcoin at that time and I was still able to make a lot with that small amount that I invested through hardship, it's a time that I can't ever forget.
990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Knowledgeable before Bitcoin investment is very Good on: June 28, 2023, 07:05:18 AM
has $20k and still asks others for investment advice.
Is he a wealthy man with many businesses that he doesn't think about the safety of $20k on someone else's investment advice?

Although those who persuade and give advice are not scammers, it will not be a good investment.
No one will be responsible for losing $20k in an investment, it is a risk that will still be borne by yourself.

I saw that thread a few days ago, but in the opinion of many, the story of the man who has 20k dollars and needs investment advice from others is more of a scam than a fact. For those willing to invest large sums of money, they would not foolishly turn to strangers for investment advice. Unless his intention is to scam rather than seek real advice.

Returning to this topic, I agree that having knowledge before investing is necessary not only with Bitcoin but in every field because knowledge will always be the key to our success.
It's unlikely to be true, someone with 20k for investment can have other motives or they are nervous and don't know where to invest their money, such people are not ready to lose such an amount of money that's why they have fear and they only have the option to ask others opinions, it's fine with me.

If possible that this person is trying to scam, they would come up with a strategy, I don't see any trick of trying to fool or lure people for any selfish reasons, maybe you do but I don't.

Some people have the money but they don't have the patience to put that money aside first and go into full learning mode first.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 28, 2023, 06:11:59 AM
~snip~
That's because a temptation to keep gambling makes them continue to gamble. They will see more promotions coming up to make them curious. Curiosity triggers them to try to get it by depositing more money. They are not aware and continue to play gambling as usual, but all that exists is that they experience defeats that can even exceed their budget or limits. In addition, the desire to repeat gambling games will pull them deeper into gambling, and eventually, they will become addicted to gambling.

The key is to know when to stop, and for some people to know to never start.

The painful moment is when you have to stop because you don't have more money. And that can be a huge problem for many people, unfortunately.
If you find yourself in a situation whereby you stop gambling because you have no more money, you are in trouble, because you are a reckless gambler and you have use the money that was never meant to be used for gambling.

A responsible gambler must never run out of money or lost everything to gambling, you have a responsibility and you have to gamble with your 100% sense.

Since losing in gambling is very high, then gambling isn't something you want to do every time, it's something worth doing when extra income comes.

Gambling shouldn't come to your mind when you have family to feed, when you have to pay your rent or when you have to invest for your future, the type of money that's worth gambling with are that very little income or let me say 1% of your salary.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your rate in betting base on odds alone? on: June 28, 2023, 05:30:31 AM

I'm hoping to make more BTC so the more bets from now on the more chances of winning. I think that's what I'm going to do now before the bull run takes full speed.
Regardless of which game. To me, I bet on Soccer but I seem to have lost every day. How often do you win in Soccer games if you just bet based on odds by picking a team with 1.50 and 1.70?
This is a bad plan IMO, this is how people get addicted to gambling, when plans meet gambling it leads to self-destruction,  leave gambling be and don't plan anything with gambling, this is hard to believe but it's pure fact.

Gambling was never meant to change the life of anyone, if you walk down this part of you believing that you can accumulate Bitcoin through gambling, you will lose it all, the best money for accumulating Bitcoin is your hard earned money, gambling isn't hard-earned, it's total.gambling that's based on luck, you will lose most times and no one has an antidote for this.

Find a stable source of income if truly you want to see your Bitcoin accumulation a success, do not rely on gambling for anything, not even for buying a pen.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top Five Reasons Sports Bettors Are Attracted to eSports on: June 27, 2023, 10:02:41 AM
I so much believe in the future of gaming on the blockchain, the EA, Blizzard, Activison and other big games creator are now advancing into crypto, it's only a matter of time where we will see big titles turning into play to earn playstyle, it will be the time to start paying the gamers for the time they spend on games.

I know many people wont agree to this because right now, play to earn games are broken, it terms of their tokenomics, people play and get tokens, then they instantly to go exchange and dump them, this won't go on forever.

I don't see much in terms of experience between eSports and sports bet, if you are someone who loves playing video games, and you know Leagues of Legends,  Fortnite, Call of Duty, and others then you will find it interesting to bet on eSports challenge around the globe but what about those who aren't gaming fan? They won't see any reason to.

Gamblers get attracted to a particular niche in gambling because that's what they do, football lovers find it easy to bet on the champions league because they have a clue.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 27, 2023, 09:14:20 AM
People will buy BTC even if the price is at $100k dollars because BTC is a currency and not only an investment asset, and they don't have to buy 1BTC for $100k because it will be expensive for a lot of people, but they can buy lower amounts or as much as they can afford.
Many companies stopped function last year because they accumulated a lot of Bitcoin when the price was high and they were thinking that the price would go up for them to sell them off and make their profit from there but instead the price of Bitcoin drastically come down very well. So the companies  enter bankruptcy and folded. So exchange are trying to avoid such mistakes, so that they can run a long journey.
This is not correct, there's no company that went bankrupt last year because they bought BTC. All the centralized exchanges, lending and earning platforms and crypto companies that went bankrupt in recent events, all collapsed because they operate through a fractional reserve system, that is they use the funds they have for gambling, trading, investments or anything that can make them more money, and if the investment fails, they become insolvent and collapse, and it creates a domino effect because many related companies are also exposed to them.
The companies never went bankrupt because they bought BTC at a high price, Bitcoin is something worth holding on to, because it always appreciates, if any company goes down it's something else that's happening behind the scene.

Why hasn't Micheal Saylors company went bankrupt because they have been purchasing Bitcoin for the past years now? That's a lame point, because you really can't lose money with Bitcoin unless you sell your Bitcoin for loss, Bitcoin is not altcoin that loses value and never reach a new all time high again.

If anyone lose money investing in Bitcoin, it's because they don't have the patience, and people like them don't deserve to invest in Bitcoin in the first place.

996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: June 27, 2023, 07:22:23 AM
Well, its the son's money and he can do anything he like with it. He offered it to his dad, and his dad rejected it. That's it. There is nothing more he can do about it. Maybe his dad is extremely religious or perhaps, gambling is seen very negatively where he lives, hence his dad doesn't want to be seen as a "bad" person or something. The kid can do good with the money. Perhaps start something for his own, spread and donate every now and then. But he shouldn't regret anything. As long as he isn't gambling and affecting his life or anyone, it should be fine. His dad will probably eventually understand.

A lot of things are not clear in this story. What happened to the money? Did the father took that money and then donated it to a church or a charity organization? In that case we can't say that he rejected the winnings. We can only say that he accepted the money and then donated it to someone else. Only in case the father returned all the money to the casino, we can say that he rejected the prize. And I don't think that it happened either. And the casino hasn't made any announcement on this matter and legal situation is also a bit fluid (all forms of gambling are illegal in Nigeria).
The son won a large amount of money and he decide to gave a part to the father, you know how fathers usually are, I mean the responsible ones, they will ask where the son get the money from.

I don't think the father took the money and donate to someone else, there is nothing in that story that sounds like this, I believe the father rejected the money and the son too, weird? Well it has happened around me too, someone living very close.

Before the son won this large amount, I believe the father must have been talking against gambling to the son, he must have severally warn him to stay away from gambling because his religion doesn't allow it,  but the son thought that he could confuse his father with the money.
997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having no money to invest in Bitcoin is even better on: June 26, 2023, 08:52:00 AM
Bring discussion brings back some past painful memories of mine, I started my crypto journey when I had nothing too, and I spent most of my time staring at the value of Bitcoin, yet I engage in many airdrops at the time and I claimed multiple faucets, I have many doge coin and Litecoin but I lost them.

I was able to use these coins as an experiment instead of using real money, I knew the difference between wallets when I lost my doge coin to a custodial wallet, it was a good number of Doge coin, enough to turn me into a millionaire in dollars if I had them till 2021.

Years ago, you can end up with good and bad coins engaging in airdrops if you don't have money to invest in crypto, this space is where many people started with no money and they ended up with money, thanks to airdrops and crypto mining, I mean Dogecoin was so easy to mine in 2015-2018.
998  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's get rid of all regulations, what can possibly go wrong on: June 26, 2023, 08:02:05 AM
What could possibly go wrong? You are right but many people won't have the same understanding like you do, why are news still affecting crypto today? It's because of the crypto adopters themselves, they can't do without panic, so, unfortunately, we can't change this or stop this from transpiring.

There are also tons of people waiting for the involvement of the government first before they start investing in crypto, for such people how will they get into crypto if we get rid of regulation?

Wait till the ETF gets approved, you will see what crypto have been missing in the past years, many people will start getting involve at this point, big amount of money will flow easily into crypto.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Are there real sports bet groups on: June 26, 2023, 07:11:39 AM
If someone claimed they have the right strategy for gambling and winning more times than losing, why can't they use the strategy for themselves and change their lives first?

Why did they go around looking for people to teach? This is why experience after following a friend to a gambling group on telegram, but I am not ready to take the step in any other their predictions..

My question for you my friends is are there sport betting groups that gives betting calls that are legit? Because I believe that if anyone knows a way to change their life around, they won't tell anyone, they will enjoy the moments and pray it last forever.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Predicting Sports Betting Future Trends and Technologies on: June 26, 2023, 06:30:59 AM
Bitcoin is Bitcoin and gambling is gambling, there is no technological advancement here, gambling doesn't add anything beneficial to Bitcoin than gamblers using Bitcoin to gamble on online casinos.

If you want anonymity, Bitcoin is not the right call for it, look into XMR instead, Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency and once you send it to a online gambling platform, you are not in possession anymore, the decentralize is broken then.

Finding optimal wager based odds using the help of AI makes sense but it still won't stop you from losing money, AI is here to make hard works less of a hard work, things will get easier with AI and it's going to be useful for those that are running a casino too, it's not going to be easy to keep paperwork when loads of people keep boarding a new online casino, AI can do the work easier.

If I am right, Esports are form of competition using video games, like multiplayer where pro players comes together to form a team and go to battle with other team's to win a prize, are you saying you can bet money on a team? If this is what you mean then I haven't seen or heard a lot about this.
