But I wonder whether Haaland is happy about Guardiola's decision to not let him play. Usually as a striker you want all the records you can get and it reminds me of Guardiola's time in Barcelona when he coached Messi. I am not exactly sure as it is so long ago, but I think that Guardiola hardly ever dared leaving Messi on the bench. When you have the chance to improve the record even further and you are not injured, I guess no player would like it if he can't play. I know that having a rest can be good as well, but some players would have gone crazy if they weren't allowed to play. Ronaldo and Messi are such players.

The decision squarely rests on the shoulders of the coach to field whatever player he thinks could do the job like he wants to. Haaland might not be too happy because of Pep’s decision not to field him but he should understand and believe in his coach.
Obviously, a player that’s in form and not injured would want to play more games and shouldn’t get pissed if left out of the squad for a particular game as there is always a reason for whatever the coach does. Irregardless of how good a player is, the decision of the coach supersedes a players emotions and ambitions.

Manchester City do not need to underrate Inter Milan, neither do they need to over rate them. They don't even need to consider them for anything. What Manchester City need to do is to be determined and replicate what they did against Real Madrid in the second leg of the semifinals. If Manchester City can play up to 60% of what they gave against Real Madrid, Inter will be demolished even in the 1st half. Inter Milan cannot withstand Kevin, Haaland and the rest of them for 90 minutes without comceding , it is just impossible. I mean, there's nothing inter can do about this, they will not win the Champions League.

I too have a lot of belief and faith in Manchester City and in their capabilities but I wouldn’t advise City to underrate or underestimate their opponents, Inter Milan. Inter Milan has fought hard too and defeated other teams that are equally competitive and strong. Manchester City very well needs to consider their opponents.
But I think you’ve got a point also. If Manchester City could replicate the way and tactics which they had used when playing Real Madrid in the second leg, then I think  Manchester City could most likely score a goal or two in the first half and go ahead to win the game. But they should never underestimate their opponents.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 29, 2023, 04:08:24 PM

Inter Milan has one big advantage over Manchester City and that is that they have Croatian player in their team.

I don't know if people know but last 10 Champions League winners all had at least 1 Croatian player in their team and it will be interesting to see if that tradition continues this year as well.

I don’t think there is any tradition to be found in that and if this would tell us anything, it’s that Croatia have got really good football players who then also happen to be in top tier clubs strong enough to win the Champions League trophy.
So I wouldn’t exactly say that point is an advantage not less a big one over Manchester City. Having one or two Croatians on your team won’t guarantee a win. It would surely be interesting to see how Inter Milan would try and secure a win against Manchester City.

Despite Barcelona recording a successful season under Xavi, the club still needs some good additions to the team especially after seeing two or more players departing the club this season it is natural to expect reinforcements in crucial positions  for the coming season. Barcelona must bring in fresh players this summer, they have another opportunity at Bernardo Silva this summer will they try again or seek elsewhere for alternative options.

Yes, I do think they need some work done in order to successful play compete and win games. And now, having now qualified for the champions league, they would need to step up their game. Also, we should commend Barcelona on their successful run to win the league. Hopefully, Xavi would step up his game, do whatever needs to be done(bringing in new players?)in order to boost the team. They could very well win the league again next season and be strong contenders for the champions league next season.
Congratulations to Xavi and to Barcelona for a well deserved league win.
985  Economy / Economics / Re: My wealth plan for next 3 years on: May 29, 2023, 12:39:57 PM
You’re freshly starting out on your wealth plan which would last three years. Having little/no capital of your own, you resort naturally to borrowing from the bank. I think that’s your first hiccup. Borrowing money from the bank for investment purposes which could or could not give you a good profits after a while is not ideal. The interest accrued would be accumulating while you wait for the profit from your investments that may never come. In this scenario, one thing’s for sure, the money owed to the bank would have to be paid irrespective of you having a profit or not.

If you want to hold all of your money in bitcoin, good for you. But knowing amongst your daily expenses, you might have to use fiat to pay for whatever, why hold all your money in bitcoin.
Personally, I wouldn’t put the whole of my money on one particular asset. It’s just feel right.
986  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 28, 2023, 12:24:29 PM
In my opinion, the thing that must be done to increase profit potential is by market expansion, without market expansion, we will find it difficult to make profit, many strategies that we can do for market expansion, the presence of social media and influencers can be used as a brand ambassador so that it can increase sales.

Obviously market expansion is done to grow your business and generally the maximization of your profits. But a small business that’s just starting up can’t just afford to expand. You can’t possibly expand when you’re small, struggling and yet to fully stand firm to compete fairly with other businesses out there.

Social media and influencers are also a way to increase sales but like I stated earlier, a small business just can’t afford any of that. A startup most likely won’t be able to afford to have on its payroll a brand ambassador as the business owner would probably still be trying to build the business and would need a whole lot of capital.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 27, 2023, 09:30:19 PM
Rodrigo is a good player and good strike at the same time. His superb free kick gave Madrid and advantage to win the game. I think Rodrigo should be allowed to keep on taking Real Madrid's free kick,so that he can be very perfect in it. In absence of Vinicius and Benzema, Rodrigo did the job nicely for his team and they won the game.

Rodrygo, with his help in scoring the two goals that ultimately gave Real Madrid the win should be given more and more playing time cause it’s obvious he was really instrumental without the usual top players and goal scorers like Vini Jnr and Benzema being on the pitch.

Sevilla did try in playing a top club like Madrid. They had a lot of chances that unfortunately couldn’t lead to more goals than they managed to get. While Madrid on the other hand, played like a pro. Despite having less attempts at scoring goals, they utilized the few attempts well and managed to score enough goals to win the game.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 27, 2023, 07:32:26 PM

Finally the match was over, Rodrygo made a brace in this match as well as being a savior for Real Madrid to stay in second place in the La Liga standings. Real Madrid didn't have many attacks, only 6 attempted shots and 3 shots on goal, while Sevilla did more than Real Madrid. Here Real Madrid showed their quality, even if they had few chances, it could get them 3 points.

Rodrygo was ultimately the Saviour of Real Madrid in the game with Sevilla as he scored the two goals that enabled them grab a win over their opponents.
I think the Sevilla defenders didn’t defend as tightly as they should cause the game would have ended in a draw. Real Madrid had less number of attempts at scoring compared to their opponents but they utilized those attempts and score two goals that ultimately gave them the win. Good game for Real Madrid as they’ve secured another win to remain in their second place position in the table.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 27, 2023, 06:14:03 PM

I still believe that Real Madrid will continue to put pressure on Sevilla, until they are at least 2 scores different, but they also have to be wary of Sevilla game, because this is Sevilla home game.

The second half of the game has begun and Real Madrid is trying to step up the pressure as Rodrygo, the goal scorer for Madrid just missed an attempt that wasn’t even on target.  But you’re right, Real Madrid should be wary of Sevilla as they’re playing at home and could be dangerous as well.
So far, Real Madrid has had more of the ball in their possession but can’t seem to be able to create more chances that could lead to goals. Sevilla has had more attempts at scoring despite having less of the ball and if they keep at it, they could score another goal, defend their goalpost tightly and go on to win the game

Your topic head certainly did attract me and I decided to click. I thought the OP was among the mischievous lot who try to squeeze out money from unsuspecting/ignorant individuals using numerous means. I was curious to read and perhaps laugh at whatever method you would recommend on how someone could get rich overnight.

You just cannot get rich overnight, unless you happen to come across a gazillion dollars that has no owner lol. Why would you believe someone you barely know claiming to know of a so called investment or business that would triple your capital in a short while.
I think this all boils down to doing ones research and not having to readily believe whatever anyone tells you without having some doubt about its validity.
You can’t get anywhere in this life without hard work and being consistent in your endeavors.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 26, 2023, 03:52:51 AM

Chelsea did very poorly to be frank with you, I mean how could you be in control of the game in the first half of the game even if you're with 2goals down but could not get at least one ball at the back of the net? Frank Lampard could have kept on the pressure on the defense of UNITED but he left Madueke long enough on the pitch to continue slowing the game, what happened to Felix who could distribute the ball more better? and what about bringing in Ziyech sooner?

Yes, There’s no doubt that Chelsea has been playing poorly in their recent games and hence the losses that comes along with it. They were finding it really difficult to get an attempt that was on target. Despite having more of the possession in the first half, they weren’t able to have an attempt that could actually make De Gea work.
I don’t want to fault Lampard tactics but I too think he should have brought in Ziyech much sooner than he did cause he might have made much impact than he did.

Well, I’ve got no issues with Chelsea’s poor performance as I had wanted Manchester United to win the game.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 26, 2023, 01:10:06 AM

But I wouldn't say that Chelsea performed too badly in this match. Their main weakness was their defence. If the defence was strong, this match would have been more competitive. Chelsea managed to make some excellent attacks in this match. If Chelsea wants to change their situation in the next season, the first thing they need to do is strengthen their defence.

It is assumed that Chelsea performed badly cause they had lost to Man United by 4 goals. Their defense was obviously poor and that’s why Man United was able to score the amount of goals they did. Chelsea goalie, was up and doing and tried in keeping a lot of balls out of the back of his net.
Also, Chelsea did manage to get some attacks in but were majorly unsuccessful as most of their attempts were either foiled by De Gea or were not on target. Surprisingly, Chelsea had more of the ball in their possession but failed to make good use of that possession.
I was skeptical of Man United having a win over Chelsea but United came through and bagged the three points. Great win for Manchester United.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 25, 2023, 09:09:36 PM
Manchester United has won the game against Chelsea by 4 goals to 1. They’ve bagged a top four spot and qualified for the Champions League next season. It was an entertaining game at Old Trafford as United played good football and won comfortably by scoring four goals. Till the blast of the final whistle, Manchester United was not relenting and was still actively trying to score more goals.
It definitely wasn’t a good game for Lampard and his boys as they have yet again lost another game. At this point, it’s almost sad for Chelsea as they’ve got amazing players on its squad but can’t seem to win games.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 25, 2023, 08:28:26 PM
Halftime and Chelsea are having it hot from Manchester United as they have made a weak attempt at reclaiming or equalizing the goals, I am sure by now the management of the club would have learned from their mistake of sacking their coaches whenever they failed to deliver winning for the club.

Yeah, obviously sacking and replacing their coach hasn’t yet shown any improvement in the performance in the club and they’ve been doing poorly as they has been doing under the former coach.
The second half of the game between Manchester United and Chelsea has began and Chelsea has so far been doing better than the first half. They’ve had some good chances that were actually on target and was thwarted by the agile De Gea. Manchester United also has had and missed some really good opportunities to have increased their tally by 2 more goals. 64th minute now and Man United is still leading by 2 goals. This is looking like a win for United.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 25, 2023, 07:59:01 PM
Manchester United just scored another goal to go into the half time winning the game. The scoreline of the game is now 2:0 with Casemiro scoring the first and then Martial adding to the tally before the half time whistle. 2 goals before the halftime is a pretty good start for Manchester United. Hopefully, they could hold the scoreline or perhaps try to add more goals if they could.
Chelsea has had some good chances to score but have so far been unlucky in getting a goal. Man United, on the other hand, despite having less of the ball in their possession has managed to score 2 goals and currently leading. Manchester United needs this win to secure a top four spot in the Premier League.

Yes, Brighton was able to appear extraordinary, they showed the game with high enthusiasm. I was very surprised to see Brighton's performance and it was great because Manchester City fielded almost all of their core players. De Zerbi's troops also succeeded in holding back the victory of the champion. This draw has earned Brighton the opportunity to play in the Europa League next season. This is truly an extraordinary achievement. Congratulations to The Seagulls.

The performance put up by Brighton was truly impressive. They entered the game with strength and determination in their hearts and weren’t intimidated by City in any way. And yes, Manchester City did have some of their big guns on the pitch and Brighton was able to weather the mighty storm and come out with a draw. Presently, with the superb form that Manchester City possesses, I would not have believed any English club going in to play with City coming out with a draw. But Brighton was that club. They had managed to score a wonderful goal of theirs and held back City’s attackers so well, no more goals was scored in the game. It’s not an easy feat to not lose to Manchester City.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 24, 2023, 09:19:48 PM
Brighton have given Manchester city a good fight tonight, after conceding the first goal early in the first half Brighton have reacted bravely and pushed City back, creating good chances and converting one to make the scoresheet 1-1. I just love the spirit and confidence Brighton are displaying tonight against the league’s champions, if they win tonight, it will be well deserved for Brighton because they have pushed so hard for it.

Brighton was surely confident as they faced City. The game ended in a draw and both team went away with a point each. But I think Brighton is content with coming out of that game with a draw. I bet there would be people who would think City wasn’t motivated enough in trying hard to win having won the league this season.

Brighton by this draw with Manchester City has now qualified for the Europa league. They did play really well and are very happy I’m sure to have qualified for the Europa league next season.
I had thought Manchester City would equalize and win but Brighton showed us that they’re no pushover. I was really impressed with the way they managed playing with the winners of the EPL and defended their goalpost against the City forward which are notoriously famous for scoring goals.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 24, 2023, 07:57:57 PM
Welbeck scored a pretty good goal but was offside so the goal didn’t count. Few moments after Foden attempted a wonderful try at scoring with a header. Welbeck agin missed another great opportunity at scoring all because he chose to go with a header which obviously was a poor decision.

Enciso, with a beautiful shot helped Brighton to equalize the scoreline and Man City hasn’t been able to score another. Enciso is in a opinion, is a player who is going places. With his precise rocket shots, he’s a goal scorer. Brighton is playing so well and has gotten a lot of attempts at trying to score. The second half would be interesting.
Could Brighton actually win Manchester City? With the way Brighton has been playing, there’s a chance of that happening
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 24, 2023, 07:14:50 PM
For Valladolid, this match was more important, and Barcelona had already secured the championship. Of course, Barcelona would also like to win, but Valladolid's desire was greater. At the end of the season, teams that are in danger of relegation become very motivated and it is more difficult to play against them. Real also started the match against Rayo Vallecano not very strong, but it's not clear if they want to finish the season second. Benzema opens the scoring, Real Madrid lacked Benzema's goals this season.

Yeah, I guess the desire to win was far more greater in Valladolid as it’s understandable for a relegation bound team to go all out in an effort to win a game. I guess being relegation bound is motivation enough. And that drive helped Valladolid go on to secure a win over a top club like Barcelona.

Rayo Vallecano just secured a goal for themselves and has now equalized the scoreline. Immediately Rudiger was substituted, Rayo Vallecano found a space and got a goal for themselves. The game is now interesting as the time is almost over and each side would be looking for a goal to help them clinch the win. 85th minute, 1:1 is the scoreline
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 24, 2023, 05:23:11 PM

Basically Barcelona is also trying to score goals, but somehow Valladolid's defense is quite alert when facing attacks by Barcelona players. Lewandowski scored just a few minutes from the end, it was just a consolation for Barcelona's 3-1 defeat.

Yes, people seem to conclude that cause Barcelona has already clinched the position of the winner of the Spanish League, they won’t be willing or motivated enough to put in enough spirit into wining a game. Barcelona did try to score goals in their game against Valladolid. They had a lot of chances but I would say they were unfortunate to not have won that game. They were clearly ahead and dominating the game but Valladolid’s defense wasn’t hearing none of that. They, along with the goalie of course fought hard in keeping balls out of the net and did a good job of it too.
Barcelona’s goal later scored by Lewandoski is like you noted, a consolation goal to take home with.
