981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You've earned tons of tokens, NOW WHAT? on: October 17, 2018, 07:23:27 PM
It depends on my trust and understanding about the potentials of the project. Quite often than not, I sell half of the tokens if valuable and hold the other half because no one can tell exactly how valuable a token can be in the future.
That seems like a nice compromise, you sell some of your coins and in the case those coins become valuable you are still holding enough of them to give you some nice profits, that strategy is not going to give you the best profits but it's an option that no matter what happens will give you some earnings and that is not bad at all if what you're looking for are for consistent profits.

In the current market, I much more like a different strategy, namely the sale of tokens immediately after entering the stock exchange, for the price that is. I have tons of tokens, and even the most promising still bargain at a terrible price, and I think not everyone is able to recover their prices.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is our money in crypto? on: October 17, 2018, 07:21:02 PM
Crypto is really really safe my friend. If you want to be safe and if you buy hardware wallet. Nobody can not take your tokens from your hardware wallet.. So there are too many scammers yes and scam websites etc etc. But  If you do your best crypto is the safest thing in the world.
Depending on how we will secured it. There are many phising sites as well scam ICO or exchanges but there are still legit that will help us earn better.

Yes, first of all, do not enter any of your data without checking the place where you enter them, and you need to check it several times.
Never enter your private key anywhere, it is a direct risk. I would not even advise copying the private key to the clipboard; this also increases the risk of stealing it.
Your safety depends only on your actions.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is future? on: October 17, 2018, 07:19:10 PM
No matter how bad the news background around etherium  is, it did not lead to a fall in prices, the market as a whole has a cyclical dynamic, and over the years cryptocurrency prices fall and grow every year, and each time this is accompanied by panic and cries about the market’s collapse.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY CAMPAIGN ?? on: October 12, 2018, 01:00:20 PM
As I could see, not always a good bounty manager can be the guarantor of a good project. Unfortunately, the manager is just a human being and is capable of making mistakes, so we have to be our managers and choose worthy projects through in-depth analysis of them.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: October 12, 2018, 12:56:22 PM
People used to say that Bitcoin will not survive, and what do we see now? The same will be with altcoins, strong projects have always been and will be in demand, which means that the prices of their product and coins will grow regardless of what is going on with the market.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Prediction/Fear Was Right!! on: October 11, 2018, 03:09:26 PM
I hope someone could really answer you that question accurately.
I have read until the 5th page and all I see is just they dont know and blah blah blah.

No one can tell.
But if we consider the ICO scams it might be one of the culprit of this recent dumps.
Next, is Buterin's announcement about the crypto peak which will not happen again. Those things could be considered as reasons behind this.
Just my opinion though.

No one can give the right answer because no one knows him, all this is just empty talk. I agree with buterin, the cryptocurrency market is greatly overvalued even now, and there will be no second priceless buying and crazy price increase.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you sure the market will come back at end this year? on: October 11, 2018, 03:07:11 PM
No one can be sure of such things, all that we are discussing and expressing it is only hopes and assumptions that can be very far from reality. The market is manipulated, and this is a fact, which means that sooner or later the price will go up. This is also a fact; when this happens, no one knows except those who manipulate the market.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: October 11, 2018, 03:05:09 PM
Is free? What do you have in mind? In order to get something you need to give something, if man-made resources such as time and energy are not your payment, then you need to go to the bounty company, otherwise I don’t even know how to help, you can still try yourself in air drops, I personally not chalk with them.
989  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is back ? is that good time to invest ? on: October 11, 2018, 03:03:23 PM
Yes, I also think that we will fall to the levels of 5000 $ -5500 $ from this position there are chances to start a good growth, news resources and ordinary people will have to join. Otherwise, prices will have to fall even lower.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange it or Hold it on: October 10, 2018, 11:20:33 PM
It all depends on the project, as my experience shows me, new projects are not always good to stay afloat and if you are not sure about something, then it is better to sell. As for old projects, I have a few coins such as stellar, ripple cordano, in which I invested in long-term.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who actually invests in ICO's? on: October 10, 2018, 11:15:57 PM
After making a lot of mistakes last year, people became smarter, I’m not talking about large investors right now, they always care about their assets, ordinary people now think before investing in a project with a dubious idea.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency and ICOs? on: October 10, 2018, 11:14:25 PM
I see the point only in buying coins from stock exchanges, investing in ICO is now too risky, especially since the price will most likely fall after listing the coins to the exchange. It is better to reduce the risks by buying assets on crypto exchanges.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Unbreakablecoin (UNB) | SHA256 - Over 3x Bigger then Bitcoin | No Premine on: July 23, 2015, 01:40:33 AM
At 1.4 months old UNB is steadily chugging away at blocks, and most importantly, it keeps on doing this without changes. If you want to say we're slow "aka UNB's slower than Bitcoin", that's fine for the present moment. I admit confirmations are indeed slower than we prefer, however making claims that UNB is broken is far from the truth. In fact UNB has never stopped once.

"1.4 months old" -- I presume you meant years.  The Genesis block was created Wednesday, March 19, 2014 07:00:15 GMT making it roughly 16 months old.  It's official description is as a 300 second coin.  It may have actually been similar to that prior to the early 2015 P&D, but it's been a far cry from that ever since.  UNB difficulty has been 24,965,256.2512 since before March 25, 2015.

You're apparently counting on the largesse of owners of modern ASIC mining gear to donate their resources for the welfare of UNB (my electricity costs 14.5 to 17cts/KWH so presumably you're finding a few who pay nothing or next to), but the crypto-fact is miners generally mine for the purpose of generating funds (covering the electric bill is usually the bare minimum).  UNB is a long, long way from accomplishing that.  The crypto-fact is there's no reason to expect a miner to mine UNB until the difficulty makes it at least affordable to do so.  Which means that there can be no expectation of UNB transaction time becoming reasonable for a long, long time.  And when that happens, don't expect it to last for longer than perhaps two to four weeks, we'll then be most likely right back to where we are now.

My last UNB coin transfer started 8PM Wednesday and the necessary sixth confirmation was aprox 10AM Friday.  Can you imagine how many retail businesses would be willing to accommodate a transaction delay of even a quarter of that?  How many times do you think the difficulty will have to halve before UNB transaction time becomes acceptable for real-world usage?
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UNIT] Universal Currency | LIFETIME| POW SHA256 | FAST POS 1% on: July 13, 2015, 07:11:40 PM
I see no indication in the UNIT description and roadmap that UNIT support and progress is in any way dependent on solarfarm progress.  This is something that is being dumped on us now.  Why should I even consider investing in your solarfarm project if UNIT isn't getting the support we were told it would get?  Is there anything at all about this whole thing that doesn't stink of scam?

995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BCX.... ()==[:::::::::::::> << BATTLECOIN >> ︻╦╤─ - - Official thread on: June 22, 2015, 02:44:05 AM
Not sure what you're on about TrevorS. I stacked BCX mining at tompool mostly. Dunno if they still have a BCX pool setup though.

You can always buy some BCX at cryptsy and treat it as a POS only coin though, it pays a healthy interest rate.
What I'm on about is this above mentioned pool "http://bcx.thecoin.pw/" which doesn't work and I haven't been able to find any pool that does work for months!  CoinWarz regularly reports 140-170TH/s and the Diff has been maxed for some two months or more (started at the time Ahmed started fooling around with BCX for his "pool") and looks as though what's happening is someone is solo mining in high gear to corner all the POW coin production (50 coins/block) for the purpose of driving up the price.  And it's working -- congratulations Ahmed ("one of the most profitable sha coins around")! The situation appears anything but a healthy POW/POS coin, there's no competition.  This is near 100% control, not merely 51%, and the trader/investor risk from large dumps is huge!
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BCX.... ()==[:::::::::::::> << BATTLECOIN >> ︻╦╤─ - - Official thread on: June 21, 2015, 11:33:17 PM
OK, over 1100% share count -- I quit!

Code:
Estimated Shares this Round 4,575,147 (done: 1133.81%)
Next Network Block 431,858    (Current: 431,857)
Last Block Found 0          Time Since Last Block zero seconds

I don't even understand how you guys are coming up with those stacks of 50,000 coins!  Why should I consider contributing towards a new wallet when I can't even mine coins for the current wallet?  As I've amply demonstrated, that above identified "pool" is nothing but a pit to pour electricity into.  Two and a half days of ~900GH/s and nada coins, just forever accumulating shares!

The BCX BS appears to continue!
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BCX.... ()==[:::::::::::::> << BATTLECOIN >> ︻╦╤─ - - Official thread on: June 20, 2015, 05:48:13 AM
And who speaks for that pool?  There's no support link/email address I can spot on the pool site!

I see large share counts and respectable hash, but no blocks being found (no blocks EVER having been found.)  Who speaks for that pool?  What assurance is there that block detection is configured properly?  Is this just more BS?  Is that what BCX is any more -- BS?

EDIT:  Here are the 9:30pm BCX pool stats.  Anything look odd to you, or is it just me?
Code:
Pool Hash Rate 885.72 GH/s                Pool Efficiency 98.85%
Current Active Workers 2                  Current Difficulty 4,575,147.41
Next Difficulty (Estimated) 5,060,848.26 (Change in 8 Blocks)
Estimated Average Time per Round (Network) 1 minute 48 seconds
Estimated Average Time per Round (Pool) 6 hours 9 minutes 45 seconds

*** Estimated Shares this Round 4,575,147 (done: 811.74%)

Next Network Block 431,223    (Current: 431,222)

***Last Block Found 0                  Time Since Last Block zero seconds

No others?  BCX is having the shit mined out of it, what is the pool?  The whole thing is appearing bogus, manipulation?  Is there any sign of accountability, or just opportunism?
999  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: June 18, 2015, 08:39:57 AM
What I'm seeing is that both my Ebay purchased used S3 and Bitmain purchased S5 work fine.  I have to pay attention to operating temps (changed the S5 fan setup and under-clocked for PS comfort, living space temp and stability).  The S5 is more particular, but it's a good miner!  Interested in the upcoming details of the S7!
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Unbreakablecoin (UNB) | SHA256 - Over 3x Bigger then Bitcoin | No Premine on: June 18, 2015, 02:59:43 AM
Please be aware of people saying our block chain is frozen.

In 15 months since release, UNB has never frozen once.

It's hard to decipher sometimes if these comments come from miners wanting faster profits, day traders who want to sell to the buy side, or simply competitor coins who want to see UNB fail.
If these were day traders who were being affected by block confirmations, they can simply leave the coins on Cryptsy, or C-CEX and trade at will anytime. Block Speeds would never matter.
If security is their issue with leaving coins on an Exchange, note that Cryptsy has a nifty lock box feature where you can lock your coins in cold storage.

Please keep in mind that most of these requests to change UNB comes on stronger when the price is rising, and buy support is there. So I tend to think it's the miners.
I do understand that many miners want UNB to be easier to mine. They don't admit why, but I assume it's so they can quickly sell onto the buy walls.
As a miner, as I said above (as well as much previously), electricity is too expensive to mine a seriously over-difficult coin (I'm not a dumper).  The current Diff algorithm was perfect for the relatively primitive mining hardware available in BTC's early days, only reason it's OK for BTC today is the quantity of mining hash is huge (block solution speed is more than maintained) -- totally not the case for UNB.

Bought some coins a couple days ago and transferred them to my wallet at ~5pm Wednesday.  They arrived at about 9pm (twenty-two network connections) and now I'm awaiting the confirmations.  That's a problem whether you admit it or not.  No, the blockchain isn't frozen, however, instead of running, it's crawling.  The five minute block spec is currently meaningless and has been that way for months.  Hopefully, the next Diff change will alleviate the mining problem, but appears that won't happen for many more months.  And when it finally happens, there's a good likelihood an ensuing jump in mining (like during the earlier P&D) will again blow the Diff into the stratosphere.  The PR looks good, but not so the blockchain!

UNB is not a five minute coin, not even vaguely close -- we're talking about multiple hours!  If you want it to be a five minute coin, you need to move to a Diff algorithm that is capable of enabling a five minute coin in an ASIC world.  Otherwise, it'll remain prohibitively expensive to mine and hence hyper-slow for transactions!

PS.  As of Thursday 10pm, there are still only four of the minimum six confirmations.

PPS. As of Friday morning 1:15am, six confirmations have been acknowledged!  The coins are now available for use!
