981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see a future with one cryptocurrency or thousands? on: December 11, 2018, 04:16:02 PM
There will be plenty of coins in future - I am sure about that. Like stocks - they are very similar in fact. There are hundreds of valuable stocks, right? Crypto market is very alike with stock market I think.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My 120 Days In Bounty Hunting & What I have Learnt on: December 10, 2018, 07:20:07 PM
New Additions: Account Farming, Bitcointalk Proof Of Authentication, KYC/AML and The Importance of KYC

Today Marked My 120 days as a bounty hunter and during this period I have gained more experience and knowledge in cryptocurrency as participating in bounty programs gave me additional exposure to the latest happenings around the crypto space. So I decided to drop few things i have learnt and also provide answers to some of the most frequent questions asked.

The Few Things I Have Learnt In The Last 120 Days
During the past 120 days, I have learnt the following from participating in different bounty programs :>
1. Patience: Participating in bounty program have taught me how to exercise patience. I have come to know that whenever they announce that they are going to distribute on a specified date just don’t expect it that day so you won’t be disappointed. Wait for them to carefully distribute your reward directly to your wallets.
2. Effective Time Management: This is one of the most important factor in bounty programs and I have seen many work got rejected because of late submission. Rule is rule and it must be obey irrespective of individual participating.
3. In-Dept Trading: Before joining I will say I have been able to trade in few cryptocurrency trading platform. Bounty have opened my eyes to numerous trading platform that I haven’t used before now.
4. Perseverance And Consistency: This keeps me going to strive for the best all the time. It is true that hunters are at the mercy of Bounty Manger Mangers and the Project team when it comes to distribution of rewards.

What Bounty Is?
Bounties are extraordinary program set aside to create awareness for the development of cryptocurrency projects and such programs usually end up rewarding participants that participated during the program. Another thing you should know is that there is always a specific time set aside for any bounty program, it can be 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks and more many depending on the Project and the number of participants that sign up for it.  With this I have been able to classify Bounty into two, which are the specified and unspecified Bounty.
For Specified Bounty, there is always a specific time for such programs to end except otherwise stated. While the Unspecified Bounty end as soon as ICO ends. So it is important for bounty hunters to note the difference especially when choosing a bounty program to participate in.

Who Are Bounty Hunters?
These are some set of individuals that participates in bounty program. In addition, hunters are those set of persons who have little or no knowledge but have already made up their mind to agree to the terms and conditions of any bounty program they chose to participate in. Hence they are the Marketers that deploy their tools to create awareness for cryptocurrency projects.

Who Is A Bounty Manager?
Bounty Manager oversee the well-being of Bounty Program. They launches the program, set rules and effectively manage the bounty program. He or She as the case maybe are the ones hunters report to and are also responsible for awarding stakes. A Bounty manager can also be called; a Campaign Manager. Let me not forget to say that Bounty Manager are experience and it is difficult for hunters to trick them because they have seen it all and knows what it takes to embark in bounty. For Good Bounty Manager, check here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3085997.0 Also there are some platforms that launched good bounty programs and in this platforms you don’t need to submit your reports as it will be tracked automatically, such platforms are: BountyHive, Bounty0X, Bountyplatform to mention a few.

What Are Campaigns?
Campaigns are Subset of Bounty. In Bounty Programs, there are different types of campaigns these are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Telegram which can be classified as Social media campaign and lately some Bounty Manager have started Classifying Reddit and LinkedIn Social as Social Media campaigns. We also have Translation, Signature, Content Creation (Articles/Blog and Videos) and Reddit Campaign.

What Stakes Is?
These are deploy tools used by bounty managers in rewarding bounty hunters before carrying out extensive calculations based on token. The beauty about stakes is that it is directly proportional to the number of tokens you will receive. So the higher your stakes, the higher your tokens.

Understanding The Bitcointalk Proof Of Authentication
These are measures set aside by Bounty Managers to help reduce hunters deploying multiple accounts in participating in the Bounty Programs. BTT proof of authentication may require of hunters to submit their details in the Bounty Thread as proof that are own the account they are using. Some Bounty Managers like Btcltcdigger, Maxx and other Good Managers of recent deployed this techniques.

Account Farming
I think this have become the other of the day in most Bounty Programs. The Blockchain technology have been designed in such a way that we can easily track transactions that go in and out of our public wallet and with such, Some Bounty Managers have taken it upon themselves to track Bounty Hunters Wallet Address such as the Ethereum Wallet Address and if there is anyone found transacting within themselves, such will be disqualify and won't receive tokens. The Beauty about this is that even if a particular hunter transfer ETH or any other ERC-20 Token to a fellow hunter and they both participated in same Bounty or previous, Both will be tagged account farming and they will lose their stakes. Amazix have banned so many hunters from participating in their bounty campaigns with this.

What KYC/AML Is?
This has become an important aspect and process that Bounty Hunters Need to go through first in order to be eligible to receive tokens.
KYC =>>KNOW YOUR Customer, While; AML =>> Anti-Money Laundering. For More Information about KYC/AML, please Kindly refer to this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454795.0

The Importance Of KYC In Bounty Programs
Well, from what i have seen so far, i think KYC was introduce to reduce the number of participants using multiple accounts to participate i various Bounty Campaigns. Earlier Bounty Managers deployed the Bitcointalk proof of authentication. I think this is no longer as effective as it was before, so the KYC was introduce to help work with the former.

Few Things You Need To Check Before Jumping In Any Campaign
1. Carry out extensive research on the background of the projects, check for the authenticity of the team members and advisors.
2. If it is an ICO project, check if they have reached Softcap at least you might get your reward. So I believe you might have decided after checking out those all but important things.
3. Now on the Bounty itself, make sure you read and understand the General rules and regulations of the Bounty. Check the total allocation for the whole campaign to know how feasible it is.
4. Then decide the exact program you can embark on, Translation, Signature, Facebook, and Twitter, Articles/Blog/Video and others.
5. Follow the rules, report your activities according to the campaigns you participate in. You might be required to submit your activities via google form or through the Bitcointalk Bounty thread depending on the project. There are some Bounty that don’t allow participants to edit their already submitted activities while there are some that do not put that into consideration. These are part of the reason you need to read the rules as it will guide in getting your rewards at the end of the campaigns. I have heard and seen reports from different hunters on Telegram Bounty group complaining of not receiving rewards forgetting they refuse to follow the rules.

Do I Need To Pay Before Participating In Any Bounty Program?
No, you don’t pay but rather you are rewarded for participating. Note that rewards are only meant for those who follow the rules guiding the bounty program and also carry out the require task.

Which Campaign Is More Rewarding?
This is a difficult questions because of the number of hunters who get involved in Bounty Program this days. So what I do is after checking the total allocation, briefly I observe the spreadsheet to see where there are few participants. Trust me, Telegram, Twitter and Facebook always have highest number of participants and to earn big over there you will need to be that one participants with the highest number of Facebook friends and Twitter Followers. Also try as much as possible to start your activities from the beginning of the campaign that will give you an extra edge over others.
I think I will have to go with Translation----->>>Signature----->>>Articles/Blogs/Videos----->>>Reddit----->>>Facebook, Twitter----->>>Telegram campaigns. This order shows the highest to the least rewarding campaigns.

Why Have There Been Delays In Paying For Bounty Program Of Recent?
From what I have observed so far, I think most project are trying to protect their token from depreciating in value in this bearish market as almost all altcoins have experience this of recent. Also I will like all bounty participants to understand that as far as you participate in a genuine and sincere project, I think your reward will come but it is just a matter of time they will surely distribute this reward to those participants who carry out the right task and meet the rules of the bounty program.

In conclusion, I have learnt, enjoy and benefited from my last 120 days as a bounty hunter and I anticipates for more progress as my Journey continues.

120 days... Heh, you are a little bit late here, sorry to tell you this Smiley
I see that you are thinking in a very appropriate way to be a bountyhunter, and hope you will earn enough for your efforts... But the hype around bounty campaigns is almost over unfortunately, the salary of modern bountyhunter is quite small  Cry
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss on: December 10, 2018, 07:14:16 PM
You can try to short on this bear market to increase your coins quantity before the next rally.
Also don't neglect airdrops and bounty programs while we all are waiting for the good times.
Some POS pools and masternodes may be useful for you also.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: are you afraid of the current market situation. on: December 10, 2018, 07:11:05 PM
Well, being afraid is not the best strategy if you are trying to behave like an investor Smiley
You just need to calm down and think about your aims. If you believe in crypto and our bright future with blockchain, you should wait and stay calm. You'll definitely be rewarded in this case Smiley
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: December 09, 2018, 03:57:13 PM
Oh my... Please, don't rub salt into my wounds  Cry
Sold almost all of my Ethereum for 40 USD. Doubled my money and was happy then Smiley
Didn't sell anything in last December... Was just watching my virtual millions and smiling like fool  Grin
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy altcoins or not? on: December 09, 2018, 03:50:45 PM
Altcoins are worth to invest in because they have much more potential to grow than bitcoin. But you should remember that they are bound to BTC and when it grows or falls dramatically people are usually selling their alts and dropping their price.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to buy after ICO because price may drop? on: December 09, 2018, 03:47:19 PM
Yeah, agree that buying coins after ICO at etherdelta is a good strategy sometimes. But one should remember that it's not always like that when you are able to buy some token at a lower prices after the tokensale. There are some ICOs that avoid this price drop and these are the projects that you might want to take part in as investor during the tokensale process.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warnings for token hodlers on: December 09, 2018, 03:42:21 PM
We are in the final quarter of the year
Everyone should be at alert now, lots of projects will suddenly collapse, pump and dump,with plans to collect people's btc and ethereum and cash out money for the end of the year
Then they will run away and get away with funds.....

 A word is enough for the wise

So what? Quit crypto or? Tell us what to do Smiley
I don't think we should act now and try to play on this market. It's not the best time for such games now in my opinion. Sit calm and wait.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fear of ethereum on: December 08, 2018, 07:29:42 PM
Looking at the forum for a while now,there have been so much thread about ethereum,fear of what will become of ethereum,some have even lost confidence in ethereum,the founder himself is not helping situation with what he said about the future of ethereum. A newbie will surely have is doubt about eth after reading all this.Do you think all these will have negative effect on Eth when bull run finally come for crypto market?

When the bull run comes everybody will forget about their fears, trust me. FOMO will be the main emotion there and people will buy and buy and buy more and more and more crypto. Ethereum will be pumped again for sure.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why everyone becoming the holder? on: December 08, 2018, 07:22:47 PM
Hodling is just a result of bear market and people's inability to invest in a smart way. Everybody regrets that didn't sell the coins earlier and thinks that it's silly to sell anything now when the market is about to turn bullish. People are trapped Smiley
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you sure about next year? on: December 08, 2018, 07:14:53 PM
Everyone is waiting for 2019 to see the price of the coin back up, But what do you do if it gets worse?

Well I'll have to go back to work in this case Smiley
Joking. If I decided to hold I will continue holding till the next bull run. Maybe it will take us too long - 1-2 years. That's ok, but I believe 2019 will bring us some nice pumps.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The BTC crash is good news for Altcoins on: December 08, 2018, 07:11:10 PM
Don't think that altcoins will get rid of BTC dependance. When the bull market comes back and Bitcoin begins to grow everybody will be buying BTC first and after that - some main altcoins. One of the main reasons here is trading pairs - not many altcoins are being traded to USD. They are all traded to BTC.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: next trend in blockchain/crypto?? on: December 08, 2018, 07:05:21 PM
Security tokens looks quite promising now.
Also decentralised exchanges are quite interesting sphere imho.
I wonder how this all will evolve and what we'll see here next.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP used by R3's Corda Settler!!!! on: December 08, 2018, 06:54:00 PM
Cool news for Ripple holders Smiley XRP is looking good now - even this dramatic dump couldn't affect its positions, that's clearly a good sign. This coin looks strong now and is potentially good for investing.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH USD going down has two positive effects on: December 07, 2018, 06:43:00 PM
ETH USD going down has two POSITIVE EFFECTS:

1. Reduces the interest in the space for short-term focused investors;
2. It also reduces the interest in the space for projects aiming to quickly raise money on hype and never deliver.

Perhaps it's the perfect time we wise up about this domain - investors need to do better and more research, have direct contact with teams and really look into the technology.

Agree?

Speaking about technology - I'd appreciate some feedback on our now open source prototype: https://github.com/ElrondNetwork

Discussing positive effects  of ethereum dump reminds me an effect called "Stockholm syndrome" Smiley
Yeah, all we have to do now is watching all this and thinking: "Well, that looks good in fact, relax"  Grin
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS XRP REALLY A CRYPTOCURRENCY on: December 07, 2018, 06:29:14 PM
How do you define "cryptocurrency"? And why do you think it's important when we are talking about investment opportunities? Crypto is still a bubble that is being pumped by the guys that want to earn more money using market manipulations. If they see that Ripple is a good opportunity for reaching their goals they won't care about its crypto properties Smiley
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not buy Ethereum on: December 07, 2018, 06:23:56 PM
I would add some reasons why you should buy ethereum:

1) It is still dominating on the ICO market. This was the main reason of its former growth and it can cause future pumps.

2) Technical level of this project is high when we begin to compare it with some other platforms.

3) Ethereum is still strong and there are many people who are interested in its growth.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All you can do is hold your ALTs for a few years on: December 07, 2018, 06:15:23 PM
Changing one altcoin for another seems reasonable now. But one should choose carefully now - this is not very obvious decision. For example everybody hopes that ethereum is the best choice now, but I doubt it will rise to the former heights.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2018, 06:08:56 PM

~~~~~
Brian Kelly, the founder, and CEO of an investment firm focused on digital currencies BKCM LLC, believes that Ethereum will be a better investment than Bitcoin.
Brian Kelly, from his point of view, points out the following reasons:
👉1. Ethereum Futures Contracts
First, Kelly believes that Ethereal futures contracts or ETH Futures will soon be launched, as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially decided that the Ether is not a security. This action has removed the biggest obstacle for Ethereum – The 2nd ranked coin in market capitalization to institutional investment.
However, what Kelly does not mention is that launching the Future Ethereum could more likely to pull down the price of this second-largest cryptocurrency rather than help it.
Since the launch of the Bitcoin futures contract, Bitcoin’s price has plummeted and many blamed the use of investment tools to manipulate the market for this decline.
👉2. Augur
Secondly, Kelly pointed out that the Augur platform was one of the main reasons for Ethereum's rapid growth when compared to Bitcoin.
As described by the analyst, " It’s a decentralized prediction market. What’s interesting about this [is that] this will probably be one of the biggest decentralized apps on top of Ethereum. If [augur] doesn’t slow the system down, that can generally be a positive for Ethereum."
👉3. Proof-of-Stake Protocol
Finally, Ethereum's upgrade from hardware mining to software mining will drive the continued growth of the cryptocurrency.
Ethereum creator - Vitalik Buterin, also recently explained that Ethereum's scalability improvements to the layer solutions will multiply one to another - improving the number of users that the system can handle, which increase the processing capacity of up to 1 million transactions per second.
However, this refers to the fact that Bitcoin and Ethereum are not fully competitive. Upgrading the Ethereum platform is likely to serve more of a rivalry between competitors like EOS, while Bitcoin will remain its top position in transferring and storing value.
 👉👉As a Rothscoin investor, what do you think?
Well, what Brian says now? Should we go all in while ether is so dumped? Smiley
Don't know what you are thinking of ethereum now but I began to hesitate, this doesn't look good...
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which coins have more potential than bitcoin. on: December 04, 2018, 04:30:20 PM
Bitcoin is like gold in crypto. It will always be very expensive and valuable while crypto market lives. Some other coins, especially new ones are much better and more convenient than BTC - that's for sure. But bitcoin role is being like gold in crypto. Something valuable and rare, not very useful and user friendly though.
