981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO LIVE] VOISE - Revolutionizing the music industry on: May 10, 2017, 08:36:03 PM
how about running a search for those kids with a "voice" contest in the future so that you will be able to raise some "home-grown" talent and building them up through the use of the platform?

This is a very interesting thought.  At the place of the founder, I would have thought about this.
Sounds good! All suggestions are welcome and maybe we can do it.

In fact you could do a contest on the platform itself, with a prize in the form of VSM, where users would vote for their favorite artist. Each candidate could promote himself/herself through social networks with which the platform would be better known to people.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: May 10, 2017, 08:32:43 PM
I'm just telling them they can berak the borders and send Money to anyone living in anywhere in the World by using bitcoin. And they simply fall in love with bitcoin. The flexibility is an enough reason to convince people to use this.

This is very useful for people who work in foreign countries and want to send money to their families in their countries of origin. With a fiat-bitcoin, bitcoin-fiat conversion, the process can be made very easily and cheaper.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 hours till SegWit activation, do you think LTC will drop? on: May 10, 2017, 05:54:02 PM
Given the relevance of the activation of Segwit in Litecoin and the importance it will have in the bitcoin scalability debate, Is it possible that someone has been creating a huge bag of Litecoin to sell them now and throw prices down the floors and thus proclaim the alleged failure of Segwit?
984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 10, 2017, 05:39:16 PM
The interesting thing is that there is a real demand behind this scale and this demand will keep existing in next weeks. Sure there will be some corrections, dips and all the stuff but I wouldnīt be surprised if this rise lasted a few more days.
985  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Costruzioni Barletta first buildings sold in Bitcoins on: May 09, 2017, 10:50:41 PM
There is a thread where we talk about the possibility of advertising bitcoin, well, this news are publicitiy of bitcoin and good publicity. In their facebook they say that it will be an ecological building that will be sold in bitcoin and also announce that its CEO will grant an interview to the RAI that is the public television of Italy, hard to have best promotion.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: May 09, 2017, 09:07:22 PM
What is the future of online publishing? Continue reading and check the views of DECENT's founders Matej Michalko and Matej Boda on the possible integration of DECENT Blockchain into the upcoming Wikitribune project:
https://coinidol.com/wikitribune-competitor-or-copycat/

Have contacts started with Jimmy Wales for this partnership? The Wikitribune platform is an interesting idea that resembles the workings of some digital newspapers today. More and more media are being financed through the subscriptions of its readers, in this way these newspapers are independent of the power of the big corporations and the big companies that through the purchase of publicity in the media influence in the editorial line. I think if this partnership materializes it would be really positive for Decent.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: May 09, 2017, 08:12:08 PM
If you calculate fees in fiat they will be higher as price keeps ascending, itīs better to see the fees in btc. Itīs true that even calculating fees in btc they are higher than before because there are more transactions and there is the spam too. It would be interesting to know who sends those spam transactions by the way.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: May 09, 2017, 05:59:32 PM
I think the ICO can be described as a great success. A million and a half dollars is a huge number, it is true that the bitcoin price has risen a lot but even if it was $ 1000 dollars we would still be talking about an investment of 858000 dollars. With a week still to go by the end of the ICO, itīs clear the success and the fact that the liquidity pool will have great maneuvering and investment capacity, which can help to have greater benefits when it starts to work.
989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is all this new trading volume coming from? on: May 09, 2017, 05:52:03 PM
Japan is a giant market for bitcoin because its population and because itīs a technology friendly country. As a example you can see some concerts in youtube recorded with smartphones that sound better than profesional recordings. Furthermore there is another little detail, the bitcon creatorīs name is Satoshi Nakamoto, it sounds like a Japanese name, a small detail that, through identification, can create more sympathy for bitcoin in the country.
990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 09, 2017, 05:35:47 PM
Bitcoin above $2000 at South Korea exchanges, $1799 acording Coinmarketcap, 1729 at Bitstamp. Adoption growing, more money in the markets and traders selling altcoins to invest profits into Bitcoin. And all this with the scalability debate still pending. Bitcoin is still in a good upward trend.

It must be the effect of Bitcoin's recognition as a means of payment in Japan. There is a great movement now in the country, there is talk of 260000 stores that will accept bitcoin, the creation of a lot of exchange houses, even a banking group, SBI Holdings, will open one, and this must be generating a very high demand for cryptos and thatīs why this large amount of liquidity is entering the markets.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is not Ideal, it represents possibilities. on: May 08, 2017, 06:12:00 PM
The world is going towards IoTs (internet of things). Everything will be connected in future. The missing part is money. Although online bank transactions and credit card payments contribute to the online concept, but still there is a need of a strong cryptocurrency to become a Pivot point in IoTs. So far, Bitcoin is a strong candidate, but I agree there are a lot of problems regarding the security of something which is online... Special protocols are required to safeguard Bitcoins from adversaries.

Most money is already digital so I don’t think bitcoin is that necessary at least from that point of view, bitcoin is a must because it gives back to people the right to print their own currency.
I don't think that most of the money is already digital because if so, then we don't need to use fiat anymore and we will just need an internet connection and smartphone but that's not what's happening right now because we still use physical money. Bitcoin is a must to use bitcoin of its security and possibilities to own a currency and have an investment at the same time.
I understand most countries are trying hard to turn their societies into cashless ones because of the many advantages inherent with digital money especially the reduction in the cost of printing, shipping and securing bank notes. Everything is certainly not going to be tied around the internet - your debit and credit cards for instance are digital form of money not restricted for use only on the internet.

I think the goal with a cashless society is not the saving in the issue of money but the control. Each transaction with physical money from hand to hand is a transaction that governments donīt control and therefore can not tax. What they want is that there is no such physical money and that all money transfers are registered and controlled, that's why they are so interested in the blockchain (their blockchain). Governments see this as a tool to fight against tax evasion or black money.
994  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitfinex Gap $70 Could Be News Coming? on: May 08, 2017, 10:13:37 AM
Announcements > Auditor Engagement
May 05, 2017

https://www.bitfinex.com/posts/202

i came here to post this same link but i honestly can not see what the relationship between "Getting an auditor from NY" and people relaxing their buying frenzy on bitfinex!

p.s the gap is about $10 now!

Maybe the banks have told them to take this measure as a condition to return to work with them. Itīs a good sign that they continue to take steps to solve their problems. Besides, if they had wanted to cheat their clients they would have closed and fled with the money long ago.
995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ViaBTC: Should we active Segwit? on: May 08, 2017, 09:32:29 AM
Itīs incomprehensible the statement of Viabtc after the survey of yesterday. Why do a survey if you ignore the results afterwards? Or they donīt want to admit so fast they were wrong before? The centralization of Bitcoin that some miners are looking for lead us to the same old point, selfishness and avarice. However here the miners are ignoring the power of the community. What if one day bitcoin users would feel tired and disgusted and decide to move to another coin? What would happen if they decided to sell all their coins and say goodbye to Bitcoin? Would these miners feel happy about mining a worthless coin singing "Hashpower is the law"? In the end, the miners, although necessary, are replaceable, the community of users, not so much.
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transaction on: May 07, 2017, 05:18:09 PM
Hi i sent 0.049 btc seven days before with transaction fees 0.007 btc to my localbitcoins account. But still it has not been confirmed. When i tried in viabtc.com,it always shows submissions are beyond limit, please try later.I dont know what to do.Please give me your valuable suggestions.

That message means that they already have covered the maximum amount of transactions the can include in the next block, so they donīt accept more at that moment. On the other hand I find it unusual that the transaction is pending for seven days without being rejected and the funds returned back.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Victoriouscoin|Soft launch|Thevty.club:Get hundred dollars of courses on: May 07, 2017, 03:00:52 PM
I think it can be a good idea, ETH tokens are very popular now and this can be a change that gives a new impetus to VTY. My question is, if you have your VTY coins in an exchange, for example Alcurex, do you have to withdraw the coins before the swap or your coins will be swapped in the exchange?
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 07, 2017, 02:14:20 PM
I am pretty bad in remembering these pass-phrases. So I have written down them in a piece of paper and kept it securely in my locker. If this is lost, then all my coins are gone. Also, if someone steals that piece of paper, then it is trouble for me.
I think it is dangerous for you to put your pass-phrase copy in your paper from your locker because pass-phrases are easy to identify and other people that have access to your locker can get and steal it, so if you ask me, i will just put it on my room or put it in the book and place it around my room and also i will ask my parents to remember it so i will not be worry.

You can use some trick to hide the passphrase words within a larger text. For example, you can write a poem where each line starts with a passphrase word or you can write a text and place every five words, a word of the passphrase.
999  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN ATM MACHINES on: May 07, 2017, 01:38:47 PM
a bitcoin atm machine would be cool.   plug in your USB stick that contains your wallet.dat, and withdrawal the amount of Cash you need.
Yes it be cool and nicer for us who using bitcoin but pluging USB to cover bitcoin wallet? Maybe it will be virus and will be stolen by someone else or so called hacker internet even a atm machine are not safe isn't it maybe technology are now implemented this kind of machine.

As far as I know Bitcoin ATMs donīt work like that. The mechanism is simpler, the machine shows you a QR addres that you scan with your device, you send the coins to that address and the ATM gives you the money. If you want to buy bitoin the ATM scans you QR address on you device, you put the money into de ATM and the system sends you the coins.
1000  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 07, 2017, 01:34:00 PM
All those articles about bitcoin's death are more a wishful thinking than anything else and the truth is that every time bitcoin dies it comes back later stronger than before, like the Hydra of Lerna, that when someone decapitated one of its heads , regenerated two new heads. Meanwhile, Bitcoin stays stable at a very good price around $1540, it will be interesting to see what happens when the "altcoin pump game" ends.
