so we go by average? or pick a winner? because picking a winner seems little bit silly in this poll
Average ( weighted average) results for stats fans: option D (1 st place): option A (zero votes) are pretty close. What's interesting average result is almost the same as option A which got MOST OF proposals and ZERO votes. Huh, that's how statistics work and that's why they say lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Well, even my tweet yesterday inc that technical detail: https://twitter.com/8bit_8bit_8bit/status/619587429150887936If at least 10 people who ever wrote anything in this thread will agree till tommorow we need 48 hours more of voting we can open poll and thread to let new votes come (no matter if they did not signed their vote or not voted yet). So you and anyone else who has not signed their vote can do it, also anyone else can vote and sign vote. Deadline: Monday 6PM UTC. Otherwise, if my summary is correct, voting results will become final and undisputable on Monday, 2015-07-13, 6PM UTC.

Total voters: 19 HerpThyrun vote was not counted - sorry, you were too late mate. The winner is: DPlease check whether my summary is correct. Please report any mistakes within next 24 hours.
I am pretty surprised that my original proposal which was also proposed by most people (6 vs 2 vs 1 vs 1 vs (...)) got 0 (zero) votes. I voted for D not because I believe that option is much better than others - simply I see no significant difference between A, B, C, D, F, H. I picked D as an example that we are not forced to vote for our proposals. Result is amazing.
Now I will explain why I required all voices to be signed by post thread. After dynamic growth of voices to one of options I was afraid some group might find it funny to abusing our poll. One they will bump one option with dozens of options, second day another option (by changing vote) so our economy will be part someone's game. It has not happened, maybe because of that requirement I created. Anyway I am happy we had no mess here and thanks for all who signed their voice without making theories about secret ballot magic. I appreciate that.
Now when we have basics of new economy settings we can discuss long term things like halvenings or automatic adjustment of masternode price. It will not block current development plan since those things can go next major updates not incoming one.

To those who keep their coins on bittrex and cryptsy (if its fixed) wallets - especially to holders of larger amounts: please run some withdrawals and deposits back and forth. We had some shifts in TOP10 yesterday so I wonder which addresses belong to exchanges. Just curious.

Dear Community, today at 6PM UTC I will be AFK (it was not planned, I got a call 5 minutes ago) so to keep voting period fixed and not shorten it I have to change poll closing to Sunday 6PM UTC. Exactly 24 hours more, so you have a bit more time to vote / change your vote / convince your friends to vote or chaning decision. Could be less, but I am not sure when exactly I'll be back nor I want to make suprise "hey I am back, end of voting in 5 minutes". Voting mini-ANN has been already updated I will also tweet about this minor change.

STEP 5 RESTART DEVELOPMENT level 1 - build dev team - architects, programmers, designers, testers, geeks, grumberls
- launch testnet (cpuminer only PLEASE)
- create build enviroment
This is one of most complex tasks so far. First we need people. Even if noone will sign up I will act as architect, programmer and tester. Most needed role ATM is tester. Then I will setup testnet. Please don't use ASIC nor GPU. Get https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer. Once we finish testnet PoW it will no longer matters. My everyday development enviroment is textmode Linux. I don't use QT wallets, I am happy with RPC calls - getinfo, getbalance, getnewaddres, sendtoaddress etc. Since most of you prefer Windows GUI wallets I have to setup enviroment allowing me to create such builds. Following options are available: - manually create build enviroments on each target platform
- manually create cross-compilation build enviroments for each target platform
- use GITIAN
I personally prefer gitian. Why? Read https://gitian.org/ It will require a bit more work with setup, however this how Bitcoin and top alts likes DASH are built. 8BIT aims to deliver long-term, reliable, mature product, not scam coin. So we should follow mature coins not scamcoins philosophy in every aspect including software building and distrubution. Note: ATM my a bit old Mac is broken and I am not gonna invest to repair it nor buy another one. So we will need someone to create Mac builds. How many Mac users we have here now? Mac users, please reply.

Yes, you can also download bootstrap what will speed up sync process http://www.8-bit.party/#download- download boostrap.dat-20150628_91334.7z
- uncompress it (7ZIP)
- rename uncompressed file to bootstrap.dat
- move bootstrap.dat to your data directory (where wallet.dat lives)

Thanks, any support is welcome. At first we will need testers. Are you able to build Windows QT binary?

2. 8bit requires older version of secp256k1: git checkout 729badff148a00aebedce663e4ebb5a039170d9b
Note this is temporary step. I will update 8bit code to use latest version of secp256k1.

Staking is also essential for the network, as the blocks are generated by this.
I agree, that's why I consider solution that affects staking addresses as drawback.
