Where does everyone buy ethereum? Thanks in advance ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You can get it on nearly all exchanges. Of course try to use some of the more established exchanges, like Kraken, Poloniex or Bittrex. Thank you for responding, I will check it out.

I would say - if you have the marketing and following in place go with that, seems easier to fix the tech than get marketing going. I am biased because I work a lot with marketing and social media, including research.

the r/btc subreddit bangs on and on like this all day
only about 10k subs on there, compared to about 170k on r/Bitcoin though...
looks like they're doing some overtime here
Can someone explain the difference between the atmosphere at Reddit vs BitcoinTalk. Are you suggesting that r/Bitcoin is slanted to Classic and Bitcointalk is Core? There is a process to learning all of this ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif)

Maybe if it becomes widely used, or the only currency used, people will get used to it if they are using it everyday. Maybe that is giving people too much credit with their math skills? I am kind of used to what each value means, but who knows.

Fiat is backed by all of us because we're the ones giving it value. Pretty much no one can go full Bitcoin as of yet. As long fiat is used, it will be backed by many.
Changing this requires changing people's mentality and education, and that takes a very long time...
this! We keep the Fiat dream alive by believing it is worth something. If most people understood the concept that it is not "backed" by anything they would no longer believe in the dream.

This has happened to me a few times ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I have a buddy that is a commodities trader and he has a name for that kind of a trader and I cannot remember the name, he said they get a name real fast amongst other traders...i think it is called a Mush or something like that. It is like it never fails, they buy and it drops, they sell and it goes up.

Very nice amount of BTC you have collected! Maybe just hodl and wait to trade again when it gets super volatile. Pure speculation but I think the next year will see large swings if you have the stomach to take it.

The concept is great, I hope it works out because this is much needed. The UI needs work, it looks a little dated and you need branding. I like all of the categories. Will keep an eye on this project.

My only real fear (besides the usual economic indicator crap) is that it halts the progress of alternative energies. I for one am excited for electrics to take over anything that runs on gas or diesel fuel.
If this means that there will be a bigger move to electric then this is good IMO. Too many technologies powered by electricity have come and gone with no support and some downright killed. Maybe this is a changing of the times.

HaHa this is funny. Bitcoin is a "complete failure" . . . why not just a failure? This is getting interesting with all of these giants coming out to declare it dead. I feel these are tactics by those that are scared of something rather than being secure knowing they have their own solution.

IF Trump would win, which I am not sure that is possible, I think Bitcoin would survive because Trump is probably already invested. He is creative enough that he would find a way to work with it (creative money wise...only)

This is fantastic news. Always been a fan of the Mozilla people and everyone loves faster. Most important of course is the acceptance of BTC.

pros : More anonymous and hard to detected cons : Hard to remember the last addresses after transaction, and hard to prove your own wallet well that is only thing that i can think
What does this mean that it is hard to prove your own wallet and why is it important to remember the last addresses after a transaction? thanks in advance ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

its really really big alotta people getting interested now!!!!!!
The thing about bad news is, it grabs people attention... So many people never heard of Bitcoin before and figures.... hmmmmm ....What is all the fuss all about? They then turn to search engines { http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=bitcoin } and if they cannot find enough answers, they will turn to social media. In times like these, when mainstream media are being used to attack Bitcoin, we should concentrate on social media to distribute the truth. There was also a lot of pro Bitcoin coverage by mainstream media just sayin Sometimes any press is good press. It definitely caught the eye of people and now the MSM is gloating over it - such as Newsweek article this morning saying Bitcoin is Too Big to Fail. Exciting times we are in ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

It's not a rocket science. People are not keen on spending bitcoins/altcoins, because they don't get any earnings in BTC/alts.
No income - no spending.
Buying BTC with fiat just to spend it, would require some solid incentive for the buyer.
this! If I could get paid for my regular work in Bitcoin then I would certainly spend it. Buying Bitcoin with fiat then spending it seems strange. Most people are probably hodling.

IS there any Bitcoin Bank that really works like bank that provide interest for customer that available in this world?
Why would you want that? If you want interest from a bank just go to a bank. "Bitcoin" and "Bank" should not go in the same sentence, Bitcoin was created to move the world away from banks ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Bitcoin: Too big to fail The death of bitcoin has been proclaimed once again. Prominent developer Mike Hearn’s recent comments that the bitcoin experiment was over mark the 89th time the digital currency has been pronounced dead since it first launched in 2009, at least according to one website dedicated to tracking bitcoin obituaries. While it's sad to see a talented programmer like Hearn turn his back on bitcoin, there are still thousands of people working on making the world’s first digital currency a success. http://europe.newsweek.com/bitcoin-too-big-fail-418481 Newsweek just said "world's first digital currency". yes!

CNBC has written a very positive Bitcoin piece http://www.cnbc.com/2016/01/21/bitcoin-isnt-dead-yet.htmlhere's been a lot written about the death of bitcoin of late. The digital currency has either failed, or is on the verge of collapse, according to op-eds and quotes in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Week, The Guardian, Fortune and more. All of these articles hinged on the decision of an influential developer in the bitcoin community to leave the space behind — a move he announced with a blog post. Despite the technical-sounding nature of those pronouncements, the reasons why former Google programmer Mike Hearn decided bitcoin had "failed" are a complicated story of competing business interests and philosophical considerations that some contend have been blown out of proportion. This is great! 5 days ago or so they were part of the "Bitcoin is Dead" crowd. This is an amazing fun roller coaster ride. Hearn has to be feeling like a heal at this point.
