981  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ CORONABET.CO ⭐ bets on the covid-19 pandemic ACCEPT BTC/ETH/LTC on: October 29, 2020, 10:27:27 AM
This idea came to my mind too. However, according to the calculations I made, the house does not win this time. This is not a gamble since the numbers are not random.
So you mean that you can really predict how many people would be affected? Well I think you are right you can use statistics in order to predict the number of cases from the certain country however I don't think their concept is good to be played about or to placed bet on.
I do not like the idea and concept either but there are various ads that run around corona virus to popularize their brand so I don't know how much we can blame them if a gambling option arises on the same concept.

Personally I would neither make bets nor recommend anyone but I won't have any problem with them as long as they are paying and working legitimately.

This idea came to my mind too. However, according to the calculations I made, the house does not win this time. This is not a gamble since the numbers are not random.
You can make use and make profit then, right? I don't think anyone can predict the number of corona virus cases in coming time because even WHO could not find the exact spread and severity behind the spread of corona virus.
982  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: October 29, 2020, 08:22:55 AM
Just now downloaded the sportsbet app and I am happy with the bet placement issues resolved. App is bit faster than the web version and also layout is also good. While going through the app I noticed that there are many things missing like promotion section and BetBuilder not showing in some events while in web version of the same event shows it is available. Lacks a bit but going through right direction. GJ @sportsbet.io
now that you have mentioned that I am going to download the app too because it is easier to play on the app than to keep that big browser open all the time and make bets, which I don't mine either though. I hope bet builder is available for the IPL because most of my bets are based on IPL bet builder and I am doing pretty good too with those.

I am comparing the odds from most crypto bookies for Champions League match Juventus vs Barcelona but Boosting from sportsbet if often time taking the lead here.
Well, with their boosted odds no one in the entire crypto space can beat them and they even beat most fiat based bookies with those odds. I always make my IPL bets here because I can't find better odds elsewhere once the odds are boosted.
983  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price now and something interesting on: October 29, 2020, 06:13:48 AM
PayPal adoption of Bitcoin and the aftermath of the news was responsible for the upsurge, now the dust has began to settle, the price had been on retracement or pull back, I hope it settle at the  $13K support else the downward movement might reach $11K5.
Some profits ought to have been taken at $13+ instead of buying at that zone which is suppose to be high.

It's still not over the news will have a long term effect people are still going to buy because they are not buying now but they are going to when they have the means, I don't think it will stop the effect on the price, because it has been established that PayPal one of the biggest online company is now part of Cryptocurrency and PayPal will have a lot of plans when they start this feature.
Yeah, the price seems like 13k is the new normal for bitcoin because the raise is not because of the hype instead because of the news around bitcoins which include like he mentioned Paypal allowing users to buy bitcoins. Besides there are other news as well if you search and then there is also the fact that the market which was in tatters because of the corona virus is now starting to lift and people who sold their assets are now coming back into the market.

I think the new normal can be 13k and when it moves up we can call it bull and when it goes down we may call it bearish run. All said I still think the price is going to reach massive values in 2021 but still it is only speculation.
984  Economy / Economics / Re: btc value and currency inflations on: October 29, 2020, 05:05:21 AM
If currencies (especially the US dollar) are highly devalued, it wouldn't have anything to do with Bitcoin and that means Bitcoin will be worth more in dollars, and those who bought at the early stage before that happens will benefit more from it.

As for those who think that USDT is an investment and they are holding this token, anything that happens to the US dollar will eventually affect this token (USDT) since it's a stablecoin that's pegged with the same US dollar, so what more do you expect? And I'm saying it again, your USDT token is just for saving value in dollars, so you're holding dollars and nothing more, it's not like Bitcoin that's not pegged to anything.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 28, 2020, 05:31:45 PM
The signature campaign has nothing to do with the project's credibility. It all falls on the team, how it managed, developed and how transparent are they. Signature campaign or any bounty program is just a good way to advertise or publicize a project, it doesn't add to the project's credibility as a whole.
There is a misconception that if a token sale (ICO, ITO, IPO) has a signature Campaign in Bitcointalk paying in BTC that means that project is serious about the project and that project is legit and have credibility. Paying in BTC suddenly increases a project's reputation and people start thinking that they should invest in their project because if they are paying in BTC then they can't be scams.

I would say that is not the case. Scammers are very smart and scammers can invest money to gain community trust too. paying in BTC doesn't increase any ICO's credibility and should not be trusted bases on that only. There were a lot of cases in fast where projects paid in BTC and  at the end turned into scams, shut down the projects and users lost their money.

So, never judge a projects credibility by signature campaigns or their other marketing campaigns (because there is same conception about projects who promote their projects in coinmarketcap or google adsense).
986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 5 reasons I see $100k in next 2 years on: October 28, 2020, 03:42:41 PM
I would say 100k is too much, we are talking about something much bigger than what we are here and talking about trillions of dollars that would be rivaling all the big huge stock markets as a whole. What we need right now would be focusing on the 15k and 20k levels, do you guys think that 20k would be possible this year before 2021?

If that is possible that would be quite good, this time I am not going to sell at 20k and just going to wait. I am very happy about the fact that I sold at 20k and that is a great situation for me but this time if it happens I am going to wait, that would probably be a lot better. Just to prevent any bad mishap I would probably put a stop loss too. However for all of this to happen we first need to reach to 20k level to begin with and I wonder what you guys think about it.
987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you really need in your trading? on: October 28, 2020, 03:03:17 PM
The moment you start buying into the idea of receiving signals, you begin to rely on them and get distracted from working on your own trading strategy. With signals you gain nothing when the trades goes against you. The fact is they can't be right all the time so obviously the signals providers will get some trades wrong.
Yeah, you’re right, but he’s just trying to promote his business I guess. Signal providers can never be right at all times, even you yourself, if you decide to be doing it by yourself you’re still going to be wrong at times. There is nothing wrong with making use of signal providers, it’s all about how professional they are and whether they are going to be reliable.

If you will be able to get a reliable source to be getting signals for trading, then you wouldn’t be running into much trouble. Then as for working on your skills and being independent, if you can do that too, it would be a good idea, but people find it difficult to develop their skills in technical analysis.
988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: British Fintech firm to start physical crypto bank branches in India on: October 28, 2020, 01:17:38 PM
I was going to say that it was of no use, but then I changed my mind; a bank that trades cryptocurrency and has physical locations, not just one but up to thirty-four? That would make many people to trust them.

Although there wouldn’t be any difference in the services they are going to be giving to their customers; it would be just like having a blockchain.com wallet which let’s users store both fiat and cryptocurrency and convert and trade at anytime they want, except that blockchain.com doesn’t have much Physical locations, just a few. Maybe it will help Indians to be able to adopt cryptocurrency the more, and if the bank should eventually should become one of the biggest banks there, it can make a change.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: October 28, 2020, 09:27:28 AM
This question has been asked and answered several times: if you keep your Bitcoin a secret and don’t let your family know about it, then you’re on your own, and if anything should happen tomorrow, nobody would know about it, they wouldn’t know that you have stored Bitcoin in any wallet and the coins will be gone forever. So, my advice is that you should share the secret with your family.

I have seen people who say that they can’t share secrets with their family, because they don’t trust anyone lol. Any family where there is no trust is not truly a family, because what makes up a family is trust, love, and nothing more. If you can’t trust your family enough to share information that has to do with your cryptocurrency with them, then it’s of no need worrying about things like this, just enjoy your life while it lasts.
990  Economy / Economics / Re: First Bitcoin Mixer Penalized by FinCEN for Violating Anti-Money Laundering Laws on: October 28, 2020, 08:23:35 AM
They will require that he (and every other mixers in the US) collects those information from those who wants to get their coins mixed, so that in case there should be any case of hacking or such, they will be able to trace those people, even if they should make use of mixers to mix those coins to cover up.

I know that some people (just like me) are going to hate this, because they prefer having some privacy with their activities online, but these things are being done for security reasons, and I understand that. That’s why I never bother much, and after giving it a thought, I just agree with it. These laws don’t apply to every country, there are mixers that are in countries where there wouldn’t be laws like this one.
991  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 27, 2020, 06:58:29 PM
Cryptocurrencies are breaking out and on the right track. Let's look at Bitcoin and institutional adoption of it. Bitcoin is accepted as a legal means of payment in many countries around the world; many hedge funds are increasing their ownership of Bitcoin; Paypal adds Bitcoin to their payment system; Stable currencies are constantly being trained by the institutions; US banks already support Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Then we can see the cryptocurrency being adopted and purposefully entering the economy.
Yeah more and more recognition is certainly being spread and the Paypal move is indeed a historic one because when Paypal allows bitcoins to be purchased on their platform it simply means others will follow the same suit behind them.

Also, government still have a chance to to track the crypto user if there is the citizen who use crypto like bitcoin. It is simple, now almost crypto exchange are required our personal identity before we trade/withdraw our fund. Through this way, they can ask to the exchange to track our fund also all other secret things.
You can always use decentralized exchange or commonly called as DEX to avoid this problem and there are various P2P platforms to sell and buy bitcoins too which can be used to avoid this problem. But that said one should not trade if their country have bitcoins as banned because in long term you will eventually get caught and might have to face tough questions and a lot of money laundering is also unfortunately associated with BTC and authorities will make lots of baseless accusations against you and it is hard to prove them wrong at times when you don't have proofs.
992  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 bestodds.ai | odds comparison site | we help you find the best odds on: October 27, 2020, 06:18:13 PM
I'm expecting to see more options on this site but there is nothing, only a few gambling sites that have been added to lists it is quite not couraging to visit with...sorry.

Would make this site more visible to the online market if they will listen to the suggestions of the community. We know the competition by now and if they aim such recognition, well, they have to work on it.
You need to be patient, after all this is a new website and they are probably still trying ways to figure out how to do some stuff which is perfectly normal, sometimes I wonder if people actually think about how difficult it should be to create a website like that, they need to check those gambling websites regularly because as we know the odds change all the time and doing this with a fast speed and update their own website at the same time cannot be easy.

And when we add that the layout of each website is different that should make you appreciate the fact a website like this exists at all and allow us to see which of the casinos have the best odds for the sports event we are interested.

No, they are not doing it manually, when they check they are using a system to get the timely odds of a certain games and we know that odds could change from time to time, so the odds comparison we are seeing should be the same odds that is listed in a specific gambling sites.
Yeah right but the truth is that the odds don't change much pre-live usually unless there is a late injury update from the team camp or some something unusual happens.

One thing I would request to the Bestodds.ai team is to add odds for League of Legends betting because LOL has now become a huge market for gamblers and I personally love betting on LOL instead of dota2.

Then another request would be to please add live-odds for some major events because live betting is so confusing and different betting bookmakers have vastly different odds.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best places for Crypto Traders on: October 27, 2020, 05:09:12 PM
This forum and Twitter is usually my go to post when it's all about having discussions.

But, when there are things I want to learn I have to make use of websites like Blockgeeks, Medium and Reddit, though it all depends on what I want to learn, and these three websites usually carry lots of articles that are mostly focused on teaching. Then when I want to read news on cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, I go to Cointelegraph.com, coindesk, Twitter (I have to follow some accounts that are focused on crypto and posting updates on it).

Above all, this forum is quite helpful and this is where most people come to learn and share info.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested for Attractive projects?? on: October 27, 2020, 03:58:57 PM
If the business is truly registered, then that's a sign that they are not a scam.
Okay, it's good that they are registered and legit, but what about whether the project is going to be successful?

That's another thing to keep in mind; the kind of project it is and whether this is something that's going to work. And that brings us to the team, you should look through the team and their past experience, since it's a verified team, they will probably have their social media accounts, you can go through them and get to digging for more info about them to know what they have really been into and whether they can handle this project and make it successful.
995  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: October 27, 2020, 03:11:51 PM
Not quite sure if casinos use telegram support most casino have only live chat support or maybe they would ask you to send message through their email. If someone just randomly contact you through telegram I supposed those are fake supports or maybe scammers trying to get your personal credentials on a certain casino, I've experienced that before.
I don't know why someone needs to use telegram when they have live chat and live support where all the time some admins are there and they can guide you when you are stuck with a problem. I often have my deposits late crediting and I ask them and they credit it or sometimes ask me to wait and the deposit itself gets credited.

I used to love the coupons we get via email earlier but now I don't get any emails and the only way I find coupons is by sitting all day in the chat and making sure I don't let any coupons slip away. I wish they start sending coupons via telegram or email or at least some common source because watching chat all day is really painful.
996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in the pandemic on: October 27, 2020, 02:41:03 PM
Trading during this time seems to me something more productive. Some people are still locked at home, and they have more free time than ever. If they do not do anything, they will simply get stress and depression. Trading cryptocurrencies will be one of the best solutions of the problem.
But imagine losing money at times when you are already struggling and one thing I know about trading is, when you get desperate to make money and do trades then you are almost certain to lose money. This is the reason that I am seeing trading in the times of pandemic is NOT same what we do usually.

We may go for our usual way of trading but do you do remember that more new people are participating in to trading these days as they are finding more free time to engage themselves in trading in this pandemic times, we must need to be prepared to face such high competition these days. This is what I am feeling about trading in pandemic and other than these all, we can simply go for crypto trading as per our own style.
997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you really need in your trading? on: October 27, 2020, 07:23:38 AM
This your idea is not something new, it's just like what's being done on telegram by most people; there are lots of signal groups on telegram that alerts traders on when to place trades, unless yours is going to be something different, maybe there wouldn't be any such thing as loss? Which to me is not going to be possible, because no one can be accurate at all times, there are times you're still going to be making wrong analysis, no matter how good you may seem to be in technical analysis and trading.

As for that copy trading: the platforms I know that offer this service/feature will list all the professional traders on their website and you will check their portfolio and see how good they are before you start copying them.
998  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Adoption: A Breakthrough? on: October 26, 2020, 07:10:59 PM
How will the Binance card work? Because the BitPay card is different, you will have to be loading your card before you make use of it (that's how it works if I can remember, unless there have been recent changes).

So, it's the Binance card going to be working the same; users will buy Bitcoin and when they want to use the card for shopping or withdrawal on ATMs, they will first of all convert to USD and load the card? If that's it, then it's just going to be making things easy for traders. There isn't much difference, BitPay has been around for a long time, and that's the same with Coinbase and some other ones that are offering MasterCard and Visa to users.
999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more important bitcoin or fiat? on: October 26, 2020, 04:42:31 PM
The reason why you see people here overrating Bitcoin is because this is a Bitcoin forum, so they are doing what they are supposed to be doing; which is mostly to be supporting Bitcoin. Before you get to this forum you're likely to have reached a level where you like Bitcoin a lot, so you will be doing things that push BTC ahead.

As for between fiat and Bitcoin, there are more things you will get done with fiat than Bitcoin, because fiat is the real currency and is widely accepted. Cryptocurrencies shouldn't be seen as the same level with the main currencies we are using, rather they are like other means that we can transact money and nothing more. Soon they will be added to PayPal, and we will be able to use our cryptocurrencies to buy from any online stores that are accepting PayPal.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: October 26, 2020, 09:57:30 AM
I am a newbie on this forum and I have read my posts that people complaining how they lost their fund as a result of investing on Volatile coin like BTC. Is it now advisable for newbie like me to invest on less Volatile coin like Tether or Gemini USD.
If someone thinks that crypto coins are more volatile than his liking then he should find relatively stable pairs to trade and crypto market and trading is not for him. I will suggest him to find less volatile trading pairs in forex or commodity market.
Yeah, for sure and crypto was meant to be volatile and unpredictable so if people start looking out for stable pairs in the crypto market then surely they are searching the wrong fruit on the tree.

But, from a newbie's perspective I do understand that it worries during the changing market and now the change is nothing as compared to when I first came into crypto because that time the market used to swing like crazy and it was an emotional roller coaster every day. The more we get experienced and get deep in the market the more adaptability we develop and someone who comes from forex is actually shocked initially by the sharp movements.
