981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: July 31, 2020, 09:19:56 AM
Nothing can replace gold. It's the precious metal with intrinsic value. Unlike Bitcoin gold is more than a store of value, an investment and a medium of exchange. That's why none cryptocurrency is a competitor to gold.

Well said.

If we will be replacing gold, I don't think we would be able to find another. Bitcoin will not be able to replace gold since most of the people look at it as an investment. It is not even used as a currency but used to pay because it had a value. Maybe something that would be backed up by gold and a centralized one would replace it.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances of bitcoin taking another dive? on: July 31, 2020, 08:13:56 AM
Under 5% maybe?

The price broke the wall and now sitting at the price of $11K, if that continues to go up eventually it will fall and we will be seeing a stable price again in days. But I don't think it will be falling so low at $5.9K or lower than that. Maybe at $7 and $8 since after this the normal price might be at 10 or 11.
983  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency? on: July 31, 2020, 06:19:27 AM
People have given up their day jobs and has moved full-time into cryptocurrency related earnings and career. These are people with high investment as well as after learning about the market. A common man too can make something out of cryptocurrency, but in between should not look for big profits ending into a big loss. Most of them relying on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies keep on practicing trading which is the base where the money flow of cryptocurrencies were found.

Cryptocurrencies are not that reliable thay is why it is better for them to find a job with stable income.

Doesn't mean the price is going up means it will go continuously like that. No one knows what will be the movement of the price but all we know is thag it can give a income. But an income you should not rely and expect to give you weekly and monthly income you can use to sustain yourself.
984  Economy / Economics / Re: Will India be more progressive in the coming years? on: July 31, 2020, 04:44:10 AM
I din't think we should expect something from this.

The users of cryptocurrencies in India would increase but I don't think it would impact the market that much. Some are talking about the economy effect of it but I don't think it would be that huge. It is a good venture and I hope more and more would come to use it since they have a huge population.
985  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your plan when Bitcoin will reach a new ATH? on: July 31, 2020, 03:51:05 AM
When I see the new ATH, I sell.

It may increase or not I don't care. I would really sell most of them so I would get some profits to reinvest again when the price drops, well some of them I might trade to other good altcoins I can get at that price. I think others would do the same.
986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where could i learn about trading? on: July 31, 2020, 02:16:09 AM
learning to trade by reading is a bad thing. because trading experience will be found when you start it.
feel the cruelty of the market and your money lost or jus increased. well this is like gambling.

How is that a bad thing?

You think you should just go in and just adjust to what you see and what you want to do without utilizing other things that you don't know that you can use. The bad thing about attacking head-on without prior knowledge is that you will never see a wider POV, you will just be looking at the things in front of you since that is just what you know.

With prior knowledge, you will be able to utilize things yoy can use and take advantage. You can also pick up new skills you can practice from it that you might never pick-up with just going in a site without anything.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 31, 2020, 01:12:25 AM
The question here should be how their parents are making their children ready financially or making their children financial literate. If that is the case we don't need to limit the age and I agree that there are some children that can still gamble in tender age anyways even though a gambling site doesn't allow them to do so.

The problem here though is that not all of these sites can actually filter who visits their sites.

And as @Timelord said, most of the betting games are now being transported to mobiles which children nowadays have in their early ages, obviously they will be able to play that. The parents are the key and I agree that we might not need age limits when that happened, they would be able to take care of themselves.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to win at casino on: July 31, 2020, 12:22:54 AM
hi guys how does one win when playing in casino? is there a strategy that u use in order to win, or do u just randomly make decisions when you play. also how do u determine when to cash out or deposit more money

Obviously there is a strategy involved.

You can't win huge amounts of money in a casino without them noticing you that is why some people actually go out of casinos while they can. And yeah, in the long run you can't actually do this every single time you go to casinos since we are talking about gambling, losing is inevitable. If you want to take care of your money, better use or invest that money somewhere else.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 30, 2020, 12:14:09 PM
Well it does, as we know it's high risk and high reward in gambling. You lose more than you win, so kids in my opinion should stay away from it until they know how to manage their money financially. Gambling is not wrong but with excessive betting, it could destroy someone's life.

I do agree that kids should not bother theirselves with gambling and they should really start to be taught how to manage their money.

There are some younger kids here now starting to invest their money, they still are young and their parents are the ones actually making the decisions where to invest it or not. It is not bitcoin but in stocks, some of them even are being enrolled in online classes for investing. That will teach them how important money is and might teach them how to distance theirselves in gambling.
990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 30, 2020, 10:56:55 AM
This is a very interesting question in my opinion, because if we need Bitcoin, the people are using Bitcoin should be above 50%.
But the fact that using Bitcoin until now is no more than 2%, in my opinion right now we really don't need it Bitcoin. But I'm sure
in the future we all need Bitcoin, because today most people still choose use cash money compared to digital currencies like Bitcoin.

I don't know the basis of this percentage but I think it is not the use of it but the possible profit of it that we need.

I know that not all of us would be having the same interest of investing in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies but as we see the price increasing, the interest of investors also increases. They might not be needed right now but in the future, it might be. We can't really compare cash to Bitcoin nowadays in terms of need but some people actually get profits from it getting cash from it they can use.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: July 30, 2020, 10:22:32 AM
Bitcoin is a lot better than putting your money in a bank without any guarantee of its safety.

And that is the same with Bitcoin.

You can't always guarantee the safety of it in your wallet especially if you have a little knowledge about securing it. Hacks and scams always happen and if you are unaware of it, I think it is better for you to save your money in the bank. Another thing is that we never know when it will drop and when it will pump.

It is more of a sepculative asset than a way to "save" your money.
992  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money and beat up inflation rate? Options please! on: July 30, 2020, 09:32:13 AM
However, I am little bit worried as what others had told that putting your money to bitcoin is risky.

That sums up everything you want your money to put into.

Bitcoin is volatile, it is risky to invest in it but that risks goes the same with other investments or assets. I don't think it will be able to give you good results when inflation strikes but if you will be looking at the price chart, if you invested days ago, you will be able to get some profit you can use. I guess before it happens, you should be able to invest while you can.
993  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 30, 2020, 08:39:55 AM
the medical industry is the biggest beneficiary. this we have proven with the high cost of prevention and handling tools for Covid. such as personal protective equipment, thermometers, rapid tests, ventilators, masks and so on.
but for medical parties such as doctors and nurses are the most affected because they have to bother to treat patients , and that is free? Cry

This depends on the heirarchy.

This industry also have its lower part where usually these people are at risk or porne to be contaminated by the virus. These nurses, doctors and other medical personnels whom we call the frontliners. The higher part where those people whose money are mostly into these hospitals or equipments being bought in the pandemic. They are the biggest winners in these times.

As they are safe and sound during these times while those below are working hard and at risk.
994  Economy / Speculation / Re: When we will see $12k Bitcoin once again? on: July 29, 2020, 11:14:02 AM
The price just burst out of $10K and it continued to increase right now at $11K.

This might go back and forth for some time and it might be the late effect of the halving and might be the incoming investors in India. The pandemic is still here but the price are now increasing, we can say that it is not directly affected by the pandemic. I guess we can say thay this might be the start of the new ATH.
995  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin & altcoins? on: July 29, 2020, 08:20:29 AM
I think I read this in the right time.

The price are now pushing towards $12K, the awaited price is now here and the thought of Bitcoin increasing less than other altcoins does doesn't mean that Bitcoin is not better. You can't expect Bitcoin to increase 2x like other lower altcoins with lower price that has a potential to do it.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How fair is Provably Fair? Do you verify every bet as a gambler? on: July 29, 2020, 03:57:00 AM
That is a great topic and I thought most of us already know this since we are always talking about these sites being Provable Fair.

Did some checking on the sites told by the OP, following the instructions and it appears just like the OP said. Either way, this is the site where I first read about this. I don't know if anyone here check this site out but it might be of help for you guys.
OP's effort in explaining how it works is very nice even it's too long, he explained the process and what and whys of doing it. You're reference will also be helpful to those who are lazy in readi g at the same wanted a list of casino's who offering the provably fair in their games, might bookmark it for future reference since their list is still few and they might add more in the future.

I just google searched this in the past and I don't know if they are still updating this site for the people.

I checked this last year and I don't know if they are still active or not, I just bookmarked it since I might need it again. All I know is that at the time I needed these sites to check they show it to me. Maybe you could contact them since I don't bet that much in these sites nowadays.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 29, 2020, 01:18:30 AM
Im good with 18 but the problem here is that despite us wanting to limit the gamblers to these age, younger people would still be able ti gamble since there are a lot of ways for them to bet online and offline.

Though the problem with the generation right now is they are not that strong willed. A serious problem will happen and it will hit them hard that usually they end up getting deprressed. I know that it can all affevt us if we have a problem but they have a different way of accepting it and that might affect their attitude, their behavior during and after gambling.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 26, 2020, 12:07:01 PM
New cases and it is breaking records. We all know the possibility of this happening but I think it will continue to increase over 40K cases if they don't put some measure to keep the number increasing. Is it the people or it is just that the government doesn't care?

And what can the government do?

To impose a total curfew and move army into the streets (snipers on roofs and that kind of thing)? Okay, and what's next? You can't put the whole country on quarantine for a couple of years. And since we have already been on quarantine for two months, and it didn't help, there's not much that the government, in fact any government, can do. It seems that their only option is to sit and pray that most people will pull through on their own and the infection will subside eventually. People shouldn't call on government but rather care for themselves by themselves

That is why Im asking if its the people or the latter.

Obviously people would be against those strict rules but the fact that articles are stating that casinos and even bars are not practicing social distancing means something. As some already said, people won't be going far from the normal things they've done in a bar or a casino and they are not following the new normal.

Government are there to implement the protocols, people should really follow. That is why I am asking since it is said people are not following the protocol, it is either they don't care or they are that stupid.
999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: July 26, 2020, 11:07:31 AM
For me, this is a very strange combination, I do not think that in reality projects with this combination can be quite profitable.

Obviously they will find a way to make that happen, for them to get profit from it.

Either way, if they will not be able to maintain and develop the game more, it will die eventually. This is not strange, if you are watching some movies that includes games and VRs where you earn while you play, you will be able to realize that it is a good thing since we are slowly getting to the point where games are being part of someone's life.

This will go to a point where players are logging to their accounts not just to have fun but to earn some money or in this case, cryptocurrencies.
1000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Become Negative in Value? on: July 26, 2020, 08:58:09 AM
I think I agree to some that it can also drop to that price but will never stay there, it will just go back up.

The scenario I am thinking is the Satoshi Nakamoto good and evil theory. Since he is holding a million bitcoins, if he is good, he will be holding that Bitcoin and if he is bad, he will be selling that huge amount to take it down. It is just a theory but with that huge number, I know the price will drop and there will be others that'll follow.

As I said, it can still go up from there. It might not even reach zero since I think it will just skyrocket after dropping.
