You seem to take me quite seriously considering you constantly follow me around and troll me.

God is positivity, satan is negativity.  Love, hate.  Light, dark.  Soul, ego.  Everything, nothing.  etc.

If those don't exist then perhaps you should tap into your mind a little further.

And the 90% of the world that believes in god.  I guess they're all just crazy for believing in love and not worshiping matter.

There was a time that more than 90% of the people believed the world was flat.  Yes, they were wrong, even though they were the overwhelming majority.  As education spreads, the belief in fairy tales drops in normal, healthy minds.  This is why I don't blame you for what you believe, as your mind is damaged beyond repair, as proven recently when your parents paid for some very good medical help.

God doesn't exist.  Satan doesn't exist.  "Everything" doesn't exist.  Taking you seriously does not exist.  You won't ever understand this, but it doesn't make it less real, same as the earth being round.
Why is bothering you so much if some people (a large percentage of the world)want to believe in God ,Allah etc?!People have the freedom to believe in something, and that doesn’t make the idiots or not to take in consideration. I understand that you believe that is no God and that is your opinion and probably no one can change it but stop calling others "mentally damaged" just because they don't share your opinions.

I can recommend Miserable from Victor Hugo.
Great novel about real people in 19 th century in French, their circumstances, struggles, suffering, etc.
Great book!

There is also a movie based on this book. Les Misérables http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1707386/?ref_=nv_sr_1 It has won 3 academy awards.I would like to know which is better in this case Book or Movie?
You should read the book first!I didn't like the movie that much, probably because is a musical. But there is another movie with the same name,a little old ,it came out in 1998,which was very good and i recommend you to see it.

Great book!

Your right ,the book is a  masterpiece ,i almost forgot about the famous Jean Valjean! This book contains a little bit of everything. By the time you're finished you've had a bit of military history (the whole Waterloo section), several political essays from both the "royalist" and "republican" side of things, some education about how Europeans cities, such as Paris, have grown from the middle ages to modern times, and a fair bit of philosophy of the meaning of life, the difference between right and wrong, and the relationship of duty to morality.

Fictional Book -Imperium: A Novel of Ancient Rome by Robert Harris -I can say I know more about Cicero than I did when I started the book, but more important, the book transported me a different time and place. When I had to put the book down for the night, I always had a little jolt that I was actually sitting in Montgomery, Alabama. The descriptions of the political and legal manuevering by Cicero et al. were fascinating and not too terribly far afield from what occurs in those professions today. Now that I've finished the book, I find myself missing my new friends - and enemies - in Rome. Getting so immersed in a book is becoming increasingly rare in my experience.

I just had a quick look at the reviews of this on Amazon and it looks like it is pretty good. I like reading about ancient Rome but I don't think I've read a historical fiction novel based on that era. Looks like other books by this author are highly regarded as well.
I am a fan of history and in special on the Romans time,i find that era so fascinating for me.And also great people ,like Cicero, who chose family over power.I recommend you to read it,it will worth your time !

When people sell their birthright  for the promise of prosperity, they volunteer to have everything rigged to benefit the wealthiest of the already wealthy. In a rigged game, it's just a matter of keeping people playing until they have nothing (or just enough to keep them hoping!) To quote George Carlin: "it's called the American Dream 'cause you have to be asleep to believe it

I see that a lot of people are recommending gold investments. So how shall I go about it? Should I buy gold through an online broker? Or someone locally? Will it be faster if I choose to invest online rather than having to go through a bank broker?  And will it save me middlemen fees?
990  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA is getting adversely affected by Immigrants on: June 05, 2014, 10:50:53 AM
America has always been seen as a land of opportunity, a land of new beginnings where it promises fortune and wealth should you prove yourself worthy through merit. Millions of people have migrated there in pursuit of the American Dream. It was a principle which allowed them to attract talent from all over the world and build themselves into the superpower they are today.
So immigration is a good thing. As long as you can make sure those migrants are talented enough to contribute to the growth of your country.
991  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment advice? on: June 05, 2014, 10:08:26 AM
How about investing in Gold? I personally find Investment in Gold has the most rewarding and lucrative offer. Prices are regularized across the globe, they are never excess fluctuations, and most importantly, it is very easy to liquidate it...
You are right! However, the price of gold has been on a downward spiral lately. I think it is more worthwhile as a long term investment? Do you have any personal experience in gold?
992  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA is getting adversely affected by Immigrants on: June 05, 2014, 10:05:20 AM
Loads and loads of people from across the globe are immigrating to America for different purposes.. Their aims and purposes are getting fulfilled but America is actually getting destroyed..
Some adverse affects are as below :
- Americans are losing their job
- There has been an increase in crime, pollution and traffic congestion
- Erosion of culture
- Over-utilization of resources such as electricity, gas, food, etc
- Loss in form of remittance

You are free to debate, confirm on\off any of the combinations above..
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” -Emma Lazarus
These are the quotes written on the side of the Statue of Liberty. It inspires me every time I read it.

20th century: The PC, nukes
21st century: 9/11, Bitcoin(may be).... its still early, 14 years only Cool
I guess 9/11 Terrorist Attacks was a major event in the history . .The destruction had undoubtedly damaged economy in the country, but then it also pushed US to control terrorism..
9/11 was undoubtedly a horrifying event... And according to me, such events only happen when move into the extreme limits of any political system or belief...
The act was wrong.. But the way US reacted was also wrong.. The last against Muslims was disgusting.. The punishment of an act committed by few terrorists should not be used to judge the Muslim community as a whole across the globe

That regulation was initiated by some overpaid politician who has never poured gas from a can or a hose even. He pays someone to do.
Most major decisions are made by people behind a desk who have never lifted a finger in manual labour and don't have a clue as to what they're talking about.

I would like to think that the moon landing is also a very important event that changed the world.Ever since the beginning of history, mankind has always looked to the heavens and wondered what was out there.
On July 21, 1969 mankind finally left a footstep on the moon! Along with the famous words of Neil Armstrong, "One small step for man, a giant leap for mankind." The moon landing also had the added benefit of ending the cold war.

Truly inspirational.

Aquaman. The most misunderstood superhero of all time. Also, Cyclops is the best of the Xmen.
998  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to poverty - Socialism or Capitalism? on: June 04, 2014, 06:05:43 PM
Well, I think neither of capitalism or socialism can be ultimate solution to poverty.. Firstly, we need to expel the fact that poverty can be eradicated.. I guess poverty can never be removed..
People say that Capitalism emphasis on superiority, and thus creates inequality in the society.. True but then it is also inspires one to improve..
Which are today's greatest nations? US, China, France, England, Rome, Greece, and the list goes on and on.. And then these are not only the greatest nations, but they also have the wealthiest population also.. Is there anything common to them? Simply, Capitalism !!
999  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to poverty - Socialism or Capitalism? on: June 04, 2014, 04:00:08 PM
Capitalism can never solve the problem of poverty, it is in fact going to exaggerate it.. In this system it is the capitalist class which keeps growing as it makes profit at the expense of the working class.. It is actually the workers who create wealth and the masters take away a lion's share..
1000  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Favorite political figure? on: June 04, 2014, 03:37:28 PM
My favorite leader is Abraham Lincoln .. He was simply a genius.. Had he be ruling the country now, the world would have been an all together a different place surely..

Lol...hell yes it would be different. Martial law, imprisoning dissenters, no trial by jury...

With the technology of today he could kill a lot more than a few hundred thousand Americans in the name of "Unifying the country" aka, squashing individual and state rights.
Abraham Lincoln was a pure politician, and with today's media his ability to flip-flop on issues, depending on which region of the country he was in, would be non-existent. Abraham Lincoln told the audience exactly what they wanted to hear, and definitively stated that if he could end the war without freeing a single slave he would. His goal was to keep the Union together, not to end slavery. However, he was instrumental in the passage of the 13th Amendment, outlawing slavery; Sadly, his assassination prevented a successful "Reconstruction" of the United States. Although, I'm not sure had he lived, things would be any different. The Radical Republicans of that era were able to capitalize on the tragedy to ensure passage of significant legislation, the 14th and 15th Amendments!!

But, with the way Citizens United has perverted the 14th amendment it would be interesting to see what old Abe thinks of Corporations being considered people and political contributions protected as free speech!!
Agreed. He is very rare political figure in the history.
Is the story about his fight against vampire (during the civil war) legend or just rumor? Maybe I watch Hollywood too much. But frankly I heard many legends what all the first men of the States do, great things (or they all are Hollywood's work again?).
