981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anxiety in trading (heart disease) on: March 09, 2024, 12:12:08 PM
OP should adjust the URL of that page so as to show the link in the proper neat manner using the BBCode.

Now it is indeed true that trading can lead to anxiety, loss of sleep and then the loss might lead to depression - a foray of mental health disorders stemming out of trading. Is this preventable? Most people do not possess the nerve to be calm through such trades, hence they should avoid trading if possible. It is not that trading will give you huge profits and your health is priceless.

We can also compare long term trading and short term trading - the former is less prone to cause problems than the latter.
982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHO DOES CRYPTO DAY TRADING? on: March 08, 2024, 02:50:14 PM
I want to get into crypto day trading. It truly fascinates me. Out of curiosity, if anyone does day trading comment what crypto you made the most profit on in a 24 hour period. Please tell me what crypto and the total amount of profit you made. Thanks
This will vary everyday and it is a tough race to follow if you are really into it. Day traders will be tracking many different cryptocurrencies and placing orders on them every few hours. They base it on the technical indicators but some might just go with their own intuition.

Trust me, they dont last long and those who do, surely receive my respect, but at the cost of their own physical and mental health - hence it is not worth it in my opinion.

If you are coming to crypto only to look for "quick gains" you will end up in "quick losses" instead. Roll Eyes
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: March 08, 2024, 02:43:25 PM
Addicts might have to face a lot of anger from their nearby family members, lenders and so on. So eventually that anger ends up in criticism, so its common and not everyone is going to be supportive.

The gambler is at fault because it was their choice to play with their luck and they did not stop themselves unlike other who moved on. If they chance their attitude to gambling they might be able to come out of this rabbit hole, pay back their debts and be proud of their conversion to a new human.

Support from family and friends is important, but how they provide it is also important. Sometimes its not possible and the gambler has to cope up on their own.
984  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: March 08, 2024, 02:40:19 PM
Do we actually need to prove anything here when we have the ability to try and test any gambling platform to see how their user interface look and if we are not comfortable with any we can switch to other casinos for more better satisfaction, we are not tied down to using a particular gambling website when there are a lot already waiting for our trial, the reason why they often compete with each other because each want to offer the best that through such they can retain their gamblers.
Quite true, because the gambler is only waiting to blow their money and not stare at the interface. An easy interface means a easily blown away money and a heavy one means a couple of loading seconds before they blow it. The second one might end up being a bummer for quite a few gamblers and thus they might despise it.

A easy to access UI and less loading times does draw in a bigger crowd and holds them in place. Most casinos should work on these rather than continue to increase features and make webpages even more heavy.
985  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession soon? on: March 08, 2024, 02:37:12 PM
The pandemic created some extra job opportunities but I feel the bigger reason is adoption of AI based systems to do the repetitive type work leading to the job cuts of users who did those jobs. Skill based jobs will always have their demand and they will never get cut out unless they are very poor in their work.

However there might be other reasons soo, tech companies have been cutting down staff for quite a few years and hiring people as well. The turnover if kept constant might mean that they want the employees to deliver good results instead of staying in the status quo.
986  Local / India / Re: New ATH | BTCINR | Still a long way to go on: March 07, 2024, 01:18:01 PM
It has not reached a new all time high yet.

Bitcoin is facing resistance at 68k USD and it might be difficult to reach the previous all time high and then cross it over. The bulls are trying hard but it might be some time before it is reached.

Also a short and quick reaching of the all time would mean a quick drop from that price too - we would not be able to hold it there for quite some days.

And I prefer to use the USD notation than INR  Roll Eyes

What am feeling now, little bit of regret why I didn't stake early when Bitcoin was less than 3 lakhs. Smiley
What staking are you talking about?
987  Economy / Economics / Re: Reckless financial decision ? on: March 07, 2024, 01:09:34 PM
Musicians and their absurd behavior at times makes me wonder who is actually suffering from the mental illness.

Anyway, it is a personal choice whether one company likes their weed habits or not and they are free to choose the company that they want to work with. It might also have to be about money involved and they are only covering it up with that "weed statement" to make it seem more juicy to the public eye.

You can never trust these celebs, they are always upto no good.

Guess it's the bullrun now that I visit this page and 5 pages have past since I posted lol
BullPages on the thread, yeah baby! Of course one does not need to regular the thread, a short hiatus only brings in more joy when you come back.

Anyway, I saw that rewards dropped below 3 satoshi now for freeroll (still 3 sats as rounded up) yesterday. It looks like we might be seeing this year for the first time 2 satoshi rolls if things continue.
It might even have to shut down for a while if BTC continues it uptrend. It is already facing resistance in the 68k level and possibly more if it crosses the previous all time high. Faucet hunters will crying for some while now.

Everyone happy with Bitcoin right?
My prediction for the round 12 of Jacksclub bitcoin price prediction contest led me to the 1st prize so, yeah I am very happy. Cheesy
989  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't understand you people... on: March 07, 2024, 12:52:28 PM
You can’t control how every person would react to a certain price. And regardless of its price, as long as their intention is to buy and hold bitcoin, even if bitcoin price is very high, then that would not be a big problem after all. Just focus on your own investment and how would you make it profit from the current price. If you think it’s the best time to sell because you are already facing bigger profits, then sell. But if you think there’s a better price coming, then just wait and hold your coins.
We should all focus on our own investment rather than what others are doing. The only problem is what people around us in the market are doing might force us to withhold our orders. But in most cases I think we can ignore that and not think about "kicking anybody" and run our own strategy for the long run.

Its important to keep patience in this market and during times of up and down are definitely going to be tested for our skills to hold and seize the opportunity.

If prices have gone beyond your buying level, just wait it out because they will drop in the future.
990  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: March 07, 2024, 12:22:00 PM
As you wrote bitcoin is going on rollercoaster these days and predicting the price some days in advance is something really difficult and I don't think anyone is able to do on a regular basis expecially in these high volatilty times.
Indeed and @piebeyb is being too generous with their words, predicting the prices if were so easy, someone would have won every round and we can only make a calculated guess as to where the price might end up and this ends up being a game of pure luck.

So everyone should participate and try their luck, specially because this is a promotional giveaway series and not a pay-to-enter giveaway. I hope most of the older users of this forum win in the upcoming rounds.
991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't understand you people... on: March 06, 2024, 04:08:46 PM
Best you can kick is your own computer and that is a poor thing to kick because you would need to buy a new one.

I say dont give any attention to the ones who buy at the top, there will be some people who do this and then complain through out the entire bear market cycle and probably exit at a loss, calling crypto a scam. Its a common notion and you cannot cure this "disease" on your own even by your "Board-certified Kicks" Roll Eyes

Rather sell at the top and hold your fiat to see what happens next. It is a one man army here, your gain is going to another person's loss.
992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump Bitcoin over $70,000! on: March 06, 2024, 04:05:21 PM
It doesn't have to be true, it just has to make me money.
LOL with that line I think shitcoins might be able to fulfill your dreams more than bitcoin.

Of course bitcoin is facing some correction every time it tries to cross that 68k USD level so creating a new all time high seems to be difficult. Maybe we will need more support and then we can cross it.

Regarding shitcoins out there, they are following the bull market trend and I would recommend others to cash them out and exit - because such opportunities comes once in a blue moon.
993  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 06, 2024, 03:37:48 PM
Well, if BTC continues its rally at this pace, we will soon reach a point where the base rewards from Wheel of Fortune will drop to one sat. In this case, it will be unrealistic to collect enough RP to make an exchange for sats, as well as to collect enough sats from the faucet for a minimum withdrawal from the site.
The objective should be to use the site more as a casino rather than a faucet. Thats why they changed their business model from only being a faucet back in the 2016days with a dice game to a sports and events betting place too.

They should focus more on the development of the gambling section because the faucet dispense is like playing a luck to get the big two rewards of 20$ or 200$ as anything significant, rest are not worth wasting time on.

If you have good number of referrals playing on the site you will be making a good amount from the commissions itself.

A close call with @hopenotlate trailing with (+)471USD there with the bitcoin price going up and down over the last few days it has been indeed a roller coaster on the charts and so has been predicting the price for the prediction game.

But luck was on our side and I managed to bag first position on the round and @hopenotlate and @Bitcampaign as second and third respectively. First time winning the first spot and indeed its a great feeling. Congratulations to everyone who won a prize on Round 12.

Once again, thanks to Jacksclub owners for organizing these events every week. Roll Eyes
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: March 05, 2024, 03:15:43 PM
When placing a bet, what comes to my mind, initially when I started out was that it is a win win for me but as I grew I got to understand that the game is entirely different, when I want to place a bet now, I consider it fun and don't over leverage, if it comes, it comes, life goes on
I think you have reached nirvana because this is what the casinos dont want you to realize, they want you to think you can beat the casino and thus you get tempted to take the risk and play for the win. But by having this mindset you can actually have fun, lose some money = aka payment for the fun and come out happy and with a smile.

Do this once every few months and you got yourself a nice entertainment mode. Grin

The more you enrage over the fact that why you did not win and thus you need to martingale it, the more you will lose.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you win? on: March 05, 2024, 03:11:56 PM
Dies is just it: If someone focuses too much on what they can win from gambling, that focus and expectation might blind them from making the right gambling decision. They might start going for a game with higher risk, and when you go for a game with higher risk, you ought to lose more quickly than expected.
Expectations make the person play more and often the root cause if greed and that to stems from the fact that they came to the casino to make money. Hell no, the proper mindset is that the casino is a place to have fun by spending your wager, you are bound to lose money on luck based games.

Quote
Anyone who is losing too much in gambling and is not just gambling for fun will definitely be moved by those losses and can get emotionally hurt, which means they might either end up chasing their losses or keep on wagering with a higher amount until they get all busted in the game.
Being hurt makes them vulnerable to playing more and multiplying the losses. However the person can prevent this if they are determined to come out of the game before losing too much. This is difficult for naïve players.

Quote
We need to make wins and profit from the game, but those should come when they come, not for a gambler to put too much hope and expectation on them, which might end up bringing a lot of disappointment to them.
Gambling is not a place to beat the casino. We can only minimize our losses and come out the least lost.
997  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: March 05, 2024, 03:07:42 PM
It’s not a fact that drop outs do better and if there ever was a theory stating so, I would likely disagree with that theory.
Thank you for keeping your mind clear of the misconceptions.

Quote
Admittedly, people drop out from school for various reasons. One likely reason is having lack of financial support to continue your education. But then people have dropped out for lesser reasons and due to their irresponsibility and lack of focus on their studies.
Some of them actually have a vision to proceed with and these handful people made a career out of it and hence it is wrong to generalize that college drop-out = a revolutionary human.

Quote
People that dropped out due to carelessness and irresponsible decisions.. how then can such people do well in life when they can’t gather enough motivation and focus to finish what they started.
And without having relevant educational qualifications to make him more relevant and wanted for employment purposes, he’ll be majorly overlooked as his chances would be slim or next to zero.
Pretty much the case with many younger people who end up in low paying jobs, gig-work and so on. Their lives are on the stake and their chances of getting into a stable earning is very low. Eventually they grow out of their age to educate themselves.
998  Economy / Reputation / Re: Opinions on the word "Vouch" on: March 05, 2024, 03:02:11 PM
I would be careful about using the word "Vouch" - if I am vouching for someone, it means I can speak for them to be trustworthy and probably I would be knowing that person in real life. In the internet, this term is thus dangerous to use because the one who is vouching for someone might end up in trouble if, < make that "when" the person being vouched for, cheats.

After all this is just a forum, but business related stuff are done here and often the sums are not ignorable. I have seen the recent loans happening between a certain "Poker master" and the sharks of this forum, I have my doubts and having been on the side of the sharks at one time on another site, I would not indulge in lending to such users.

I believe this is what the context is about. Cool
999  Local / India / Re: Any P2P trading platforms that are active? on: March 04, 2024, 03:06:27 PM
I used to trade a lot on Localbitcoins and was always my go to place to sell BTC(as the premiums were fairly high). They've shut shop for a while now. Any other platforms that have a decent Indian userbase for p2p transactions? I was using paxful for a while, it's okay. Didn't like the experience much.
Since we are talking about Indian Userbases, why are we not talking about the userbase on this forum, however small it might be? Huh

We are more than 10 active users on this section of the forum at present and the "Marketplace (India)" section is being spammed by fake keys sellers and scammers, why not make it active with Have BTC Want INR threads?

It might not yield a positive trade right away but its worth a start?
1000  Local / India / Re: CoinDCX CEO expects crypto tax to be reduced after 2024 election. on: March 04, 2024, 03:03:19 PM
We cannot really rely on any of these articles because they are all just a speculation and cannot guarantee anything.
Unless and until there is an official announcement from a government authorized person, all of these articles are their speculations will go in vain.
On top of that, the numbers mentioned in the article are too vague. I don't think the government will even considering dropping tax from 30% to directly at 5% - 10%.
Like I said, he made a bold claim but I will listen to it only when I see it. No use pumping the crypto crowd in India with these Messiah like words, we have seen our government for years do nothing about simple things like Hospital sanitation and Corruption let alone give some thoughts to cryptocurrency.

We can only do the waiting game for now.
