keeping bitcoin by itself is like an investing , like when you are holding gold . I don't know a better option than bitcoin for long time holding , not even ethereum.
Indeed, that's what I am doing right now. By just holdong your bitcoins at your wallet or safe place can be profitable however, it will take time to get a profit. For example, in last few years those people who invest in year of 2009 are now having a big profit and it will be the same for us soon if we will buy now and hold it for a long time. |

Actually, anytime is the right time to buy but make sure that it is appropriate on the transaction that you are going to take. I mean, if you prefer a long term investment then it is good to buy now while in short term investnnet, you should wait a little dump before you buy. It is also good to buy now on short term but you should accept the fact that the profit will not be that high. |

If you're planning on holding the coins long term, then get them now; difficulty is increasing and supply is increasing. When talking about short term though, maybe wait for more price dips before purchasing.
Indeed, if you are goung to hold it for s long time then I guess this is the right time to buy since bitcoin is a little dump now there's a lot of folks are panicking to sell. We don't know when the bitcoin will fluctuate whether to increase or not but, we should act now and take the opportunity before it's too late, there are some speculation that bitcoin will pump within this year so its better to buy now. Well in my opinion there's a low for this phenomenon to happen because way back as how our ancestor to make transaction to each other they used coin and compared to what we have now is we still using it but the bills have been added. Therefore, paper money will not disappear but rather it will add new mode of payment which is cryptocurrency. |

I agree about bitcoin for long-term investment. So, I think the key is to be patient and calm. New investors should know it. Panic selling at the lowest price is the only bad option.
Indeed, bitcoin was truly a long term investment because as you can see in the last few years bitcoin has only $600 when I'm started to earn bitcoin. Indeed, bitcoin now become stable at $8000 but I was sad when I saw that its price because I prefer bitcoin to become stable at $20,000. I think the main reason why it goes down because of what happened in China. It occur last year but we only felt the consequence now. |

Of course they deserve it. It is the result of their hardwork, no matter what the reason whether they don't have knowledge on business or economy as long as worked out from it. I think bitcoin prices have decreased compared to last year.
yes, it is true, it is very different. especially by the end of 2017 getting a very unexpectedly increasing increase, thanks to the trend of all bitcoin users, but when it comes in 2018, there's a lot of negative news from starting banning ads on facebook / google and illegal status in china, where a lot of users cryptocuurency part of china. but it all did not close the possibility if at the end of 2018 this price will soar again, due to positive news from G20 that discuss bitcoin regulations in the world. Every cloud has a silver lining. Last year 2017 was the year of bitcoin, there was a massive growth in bitcoin market. It brokes so many records last year. But this year the price of bitcoin is fluctuates. There are so many ups and downs in the bitcoin market. The growth is not healthy. So many dips happened in this year. According to coinmarketcap this dip is temporarily. Soon the bitcoin will back with massive growth in upcoming days. Hoping for that to happen. Indeed, last year was the year of bitcoin because as we can remember in that year when the bitcoin goes up into $20,000 especially at the end of the year. However, compared before bitcoin is now having a small value due to negative interpretation because of scammers. I am pretty sure that it will be just a temporarily and in a next few days bitcoin will rise again and will become enormous. |

I've always been one who sells to earlier, either to minimize my losses or to realize my earnings ASAP and leave. I've seen in most of my investments, if not all that if I would've just left the coins there they would've been worth 10-50x what I put in before. This is upsetting as a person and trader, as I see how much money I'm missing out on.
Well, I can't blame you if you are a little bit tense and easily influenced by a sudden drop of coin's price in the market because that's a common scenario here in crypto world. We can't do anything about that unless you learned how to handle your emotional well being and be brave. Since you already concluded that you missed so much amount of money after selling your coins very early, why don't you use that fact to force yourself to practice holding longer. I'm sure you'll earn bigger and feel more satisfied after achieving it. Indeed, just learn how to hold but if you still cannot do nothing then try to earn through this forum. In my case since bitcoin has now cheap price I could not make transaction so in order to earn withouht selling any bitcoins I participate in bounty campaigns to have income. |

Indeed, because of decentralized nature of bitcoin there a lot of benefits you could get upon it. In my case bitcoin had change my life because compared before I couldn't even buy the things I want but now I have enough savings to sustain our daily expenses. Especally, I could now able to help my parents from our expenses yet, I guess this will be my guide to fulfill my dreams. |

Day trading may be more profitable but it needs skills to earn huge profits. You have to good tech. analyst to be a successful trader.
On the other hand, HODL strategy is a long-term investment. You have to analyze well about a coin/token before investing because this decision will make you rich in future.
So if you don't have time and skills then I suggest you go for HODL strategy and enjoy seeing your money grow.
Indeed, however you cannot guarantee if that coin will pump because there are some cases that altcoins is one week dump just like bitcoin. Anyway, it is depend on what do you prefer, if you wanted to have instant income yet more profitable then go for trading and if you prefer to have a long term income yet less effort then go for hold. |

Of course betting in bitcoin will be illegal if bitcoin is illegal in one country while bitcoil will be legal if it is accepted. However, you could still play gambling in your country even though it is illegal because bitcoin transaction is undetectable. No one can determine if you were a female, male or adult, teen, etc.

I've been in the crypto scene for many years now, first time post here over a dilemma I am facing.
So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the marketcap of all coins growing. But friends close to me think I am an idiot for not selling yet, and if it were to collapse to zero, I would never forgive myself. But they don't know the market like I do, and I do believe that it is only the beginning. They say I should sell 95% buy a house, a car and live a nice lifestyle. I am frugal, have always lived within my means and never spent any crypto money as of yet, but I am tempted to start spending some of it now. I am 26 years old, rent an apartment and drive a car worth less than most peoples pushbikes.
My portfolio currently looks like this....
43% Raiblocks
40% Oyster Pearl
5% Enigma
4%Dash
1.5% Bitcoin
and tiny holdings in Waves, Lisk, Stratis, Game.....
I think that both XRB and PRL can double easily this year.
This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.
What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

If I were you I will not call it a day because in this era even if you have a huge moneyit will still depleted since our product and service are now expensive. Don't be contented on what you have now, dream and soar high. I think you should only stop trading if you have a passive income or have a business. Indeed, before you quit on trading of crypto, you should establish first a small business so that you will have a passive income so that even if you lose on trading it not be that bad because you still have another source. Maybe you should invest your savings for a long period of time because bitcoin will become enormous soon. |

Yes, I do believe that math can help you to win in gambling. In math there's a topic which is probabilty that might help you to predict on what will be the outcome. However, the process is too long and it is difficult to apply on gambling games. That's why even you use this it will difficult for you. |
