This is like can anything replace the sun or the moon. Next to impossible. There no currency that is capable of doing it. No one is close enough. So rest assured and buy more.
sorry to say this, but i think you are wrong. bitcoin has a very strong position but bitcoin is not the holy grail. bitcoin is always just one big bug away from total uselessness. however unlikely this seems it just shows a lack of imagination if you declare it next to impossible. i am also sure that it only is a question of time until there will be a better coin, it maybe even be out today. the biggest obstacle for this new better coin would be to make it to be heard and understood and used by the rest. hard, but never say never.

Look I have loads of imagination but I am talking practically out here. Look currently there no crypto currency close enough, future that would be a long time. First it would have to arrive, two offer growth, sellers, exchange and it won't happen overnight. Though I would welcome competition but fact is it will take time and that's the fact you need to accept.
9822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be blocked too by the government or isp ?? on: October 29, 2016, 03:52:22 PM
I don't feel Bitcoin will be banned. So far there no news or indication it could be. Blocking it would be far more problematic. Hence I don't think government will be in Any rush to banned them. So take a chill pill

I do not think this would happen, it's just your assumption but so far haven't heard this happen.
9825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What stops you from opening a local bitcoin exchange business? on: October 29, 2016, 12:09:25 PM
You need a huge capital, plus good reputation and the hassles of law enforcement agencies. It's not a peice of 🎂 that you think and open up. You need to plan a he'll lot. Pay lawyers fees, set up charges, secure platforms. It's very risky and a pain job. Are you really sure you wish to do it?

9827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who really uses bitcoin? on: October 29, 2016, 11:22:04 AM
Mostly I think 25-35 age cause it's yet catching up. It's yet to catch up in Asia, it's there but yet many know about it. It's pain explaining it to mostly youngster under 16-20 Age group.
9828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining Just Stopped? on: October 29, 2016, 10:54:51 AM
I really don't think it will have much of a effect, it will be a chance for others to occupy his place. And no one in his sane mind will do that, especially when it's booming and after such a lot of investment. So I think you need not worry for this.
9829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on stock exchange on: October 29, 2016, 09:43:57 AM
I wonder how long will it take for Bitcoin to be used for stock exchange. I mean for global and local  stock exchange. This is would be so good, like earn and buy without using any actual money. Though it's unregulated now, but I wonder if it's only a matter of time before it gets recognition?
I think about 20 up to 30 years later till bitcoin become payment method on around the world and it is just about time in my opinion. There are many people who making investment into bitcoins and the amount are very big.

Actually this is already happening so you don't have to wait for that long term. All we have to wait i guess is the more and more country will adopt this kind of technology.

It has to be a Asian country for me to adopt this, though again it may take long or it may never happen as you all say. Usa has already ruled against Bitcoin so no chance seeing this happening there, but future is full of surprises Wait and watchn

Can I ask what company offers the service to buy stocks with bitcoins?
I just made a little google search, and the first thing that came up was bitbulls.
But honestly, I have read the FAQs and it sounds a little fishy to me. They don't retain transaction historys, require no ID documents or even personal data.

I don't think at this time legally any company does. This was a question for the future, currently as far I know it's is not legal to do this. The one you are referring has to be a scam, why else would they not require documentation and all.

Is this site active? I had been a user since long time, but had stopped seeing it. If any one using it now or has been able to withdraw let me know.
9832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on stock exchange on: October 29, 2016, 05:17:19 AM
What exactly are you talking about here?  The blockchain being used to record stock transactions, or ETFs based on bitcoin, or bitcoin businesses being listed on stock exchanges?  Something else?
...

I think the OP is referring to buying and selling stocks with only BTC,
as compared to fiat and bank accounts.
OK.  There have been threads about that before.  My question is why would you buy stocks using bitcoin?  To me, that's like buying stocks with gold or buying bonds with stocks.  Bitcoin is an investment.  Why would anyone not use fiat to buy stocks?  Why would you use a cryptocurrency that is not stable to buy stocks?

Does that make any sense to you?  Why use some fly-by-night bitcoin 'broker' (which is what's going to end up happening) when you can use a legitimate broker with fiat?  Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Edit:  And this is a pet peeve of mine.  Someone other than OP has to come in and try to interpret what OP was asking in the first place.  Ask it right the first time, dammit.

HI i was simply referring to whether stock exchange would allow Bitcoin for buying stocks, this would save a lot for me. For instance I can keep my local currency in hand for daily use and use this online money to buy and sell stocks in global foreign exchanges as well as local. So basically idea was to earn Bitcoin and buy stocks with it, no real money gone yet paid in real money.  But after reading your posts,  I realized I had not got all my facts correct. Thanks for pointing the errors, helps me learn a lot.

9834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do exchanges get their Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2016, 01:11:10 AM
They get from sellers and buyers, fees. They also would be having a huge initial investment. Plus they would be earning from adverts. This is what I 💭.

Something like freebitco.in simple and easy. Or like a virtual game like pokemon-go first of its kind. Bitcoin everywhere, gamble in mid air. Paid game of course or maybe a theme based game on game of thrones

Simple and easy??? Are you crazy? Running a faucet in this era is one hell of a job and I am sure the admin of freebitco.in (wetsuit) has a tough job maintaining everything and paying every user while the bitcoin price is ever increasing. Moreover the large number of DDOS attacks, Bots, scammers, cheaters and what not should drive him crazy these days.

Nothing is easy mate - everything needs hard work. People work hard to earn and then if it is successful them they get praised otherwise we never hear of them.

Agree with your point, but simple and easy I meant was the platform layout and style. This days people spend a he'll lot on style and then they make looses and they are gone. Then there always a risk one really needs to think thrice whether you wish to do such kind of business, and always remember higher the risk higher the gains (just saying)

I would choose Bitcoin. One it's a rising currency. Secondly it's not physical. It's more liquid and not difficult to get money.
9838  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I convert my savings into Bitcoin? on: October 28, 2016, 04:48:12 PM
It's a really good idea. But I would suggest you to not to go all in so quickly. Buy when prices are down, at regular intervals. Invest little in stocks, mutual funds, bank fixed deposits. Buy and store btc but not full be careful, be a wise investor.
9839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: October 28, 2016, 04:41:44 PM
Dude this question is like will the sun rise after the night, or will it rain from the cloud. It's a currency it can be used for right and wrong purposes, depends on the user. On top of it this Is unregulated, so sadly it could be used for the illegal purposes.
9840  Other / Politics & Society / Re: German criminals who raped 14-year old girl set free by the court on: October 28, 2016, 11:34:12 AM
If I was the father of the victim I would be grateful they were released as this would give me the opportunity to hunt them down and kill each as slowly and as painfully as possible.

Definitely the parents fault. I remember a case where the parent lured the rapist on behalf of a settlement outside the court and chopped him off, his reason was the rapist would walk free, while his daughter was dying each day. The laws really need to be strict, minor or adult a rapist is a rapist. They should be punished. In another instance a girl was forced to marry her rapist, the rapist parents tortured her and she committed suicide. Why do girls always have to suffer, why do the Parents of rapist not take a firm stand, even they could be having a daughter but no son is more important
