9841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 29, 2022, 08:42:45 PM
I was like this before, I lose than often and the net gain are losses.

What may likely be causing this is because you see gambling as a way of making money or making profit, but it should not be seen that way, the reason some people later got addicted or lost a lot of money to gambling.

I disagree.

Whatever your mindset in gambling, you'll lose your money because that's how gambling works, even if you treat is as an entertainment---you will eventually lose your money. Gambling will become an addiction no matter what is entirely depends on a person, because addiction means you're enjoying it, it could be either a bad addiction or a good addiction. You cannot dictate someone that they shouldn't see it that "way", we play gambling for our own reason, and play with different kind of risks.

So what is your point? Do not gamble at all because it is unprofitable? But when you go to an expensive restaurant and eat a steak, it is also unprofitable. Or going to the movies. All entertainment costs money and there is nothing wrong with gambling either. Problems start when entertainment turns into addiction, but this applies to food as well as everything else, not just gambling.

Given all these events, the show turned out great. And if you take the final result, then it arranged for both teams - Brazil did not lose and Ecuador scored an important point. As for refereeing decisions, if this match had an important tournament value, then most likely they would have caused a scandal and a long discussion after the match.

Almost the whole match was a 10 v 10. Ecuador had a player sent off at 15 minutes of the game and Brazil had a player sent off at 20 minutes of the game. I also have to agree that if this was a more competitive match there might have been a lot of talks about controversies in that match. But overall I think it was a good game and good to see a match full of action.

By the way, it is quite interesting that despite the reduced number of players on the field, the performance was small. Usually, the fewer players on the field, the greater the score. If I had watched this game online, after those deletions, I would have bet on BTTS (and lost).

Last night, there was a really awkward match between Colombia and Peru. Colombia were the absolute favourite of that match and I thought of betting on them also. I'm happy for not doing so because Colombia missed a big opportunity to win here. Peru even won this match somehow while Colombia had control of the whole match. Peru's only shot on target ended up with a goal and they magically secured a 1-0 score till the end. After this critical win, Peru have moved up to the fourth position and they have a winning streak of three matches.

Since they have a series of three victories, such a result cannot be called an accident, they just play in a defensive manner. This result greatly aggravated the fight for 4th place. If Colombia had won, they would definitely have thrown Peru out of the fight. But now they are behind Peru and they have a match ahead of them with Argentina.

A very confident victory for Cameroon, the opponent had no chance. But even this result for the Gambia can be considered a success - hardly anyone expected at the start of the tournament that they would rise so high. Taking into account the game that Cameroon is showing now and the fact that the championship is being held in Cameroon, I would say that they are becoming the main favorites of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Burkina Faso leads 1-0 and it doesn't look like Tunisia can bounce back, but they still have 30 minutes to spare.
9844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 29, 2022, 08:12:21 PM
I'm really fed up with Bayern Munich's buying every one of talented players from Dortmund.  Grin  I'm not happy to hear that Bayern Munich could be interested in adding Erling Haaland to their squad in case Lewandowski decides to leave the team because of this. Please, just let these players go to other leagues a little, man. If Haaland is leaving for real this summer, then I would like to watch him in other leagues from now on. The Bundesliga is one of the top European leagues of course but not as big as the English Premier League for example.

Where did you get this news, just guessing? I didn't find any news about this one the last time I heard Haaland move was to Man city not to Munich
It's just that it's too expensive, we know behind Haaland high price, it's Dortmund's way rejected all offers which means they are not ready Haaland out at least until next season, unless Haaland injury persists then Dortmund can consider it.

A couple of months ago, there were active rumors that Bayern are interested in Haaland, and Lewandowski wants to leave the club (not because of the transfer of Haaland, but for personal reasons). But after Bayern announced that they were not interested in Haaland and Lewandowski remained at the club, I did not hear anything more about such options.
Haaland will leave Borussia this summer, obviously. Borussia Dortmund are not as rich a team as PSG to lose a lot of money by keeping a player in the squad until his contract expires.
9845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 29, 2022, 08:04:54 PM
I think it will be difficult for Real Madrid to qualify for the next round of the Champions League. Despite their vast experience in the Champions League, Madrid do not have a very strong squad for this level of play. Psg are more motivated to win, and they have a stronger squad than Madrid. They may be able to win the home game, but in the end, PSG will go to the next round.

If you are so sure about this prediction then you can bet on PSG - the odds are very attractive. But in fact I would advise you to look deeper into the situation in both clubs, because although on paper PSG are stronger, they have big problems in order to collect all these "big" names in a single team (some are injured, some are not at their best form, etc.). Real Madrid are doing just fine in this regard.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting the Vlahovic transfer to happen so soon. I knew that there were some rumours like some big clubs were after him but I didn't know that Juventus were so close to signing him. They finished the transfer quickly and it cost them 70 million euros as far as I know. I think that this is definitely not a big amount of money for him. Vlahovic has been one of the most talented and young strikers recently. People are talking about him really much. I'm already excited about what he will do at Juventus.

In fact, such an outcome was obvious, because despite the "trade" all parties wanted such a result. Vlašević wanted to go to a stronger club, Juventus wanted to get a strong and promising striker, and Fiorentina wanted to get the most money. If this transfer were delayed, then in the end Fiorentina risked either getting less money or not getting it at all, while having a player who wants to leave the club.
9847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 29, 2022, 07:51:56 PM
Juventus are stepping up the attack, that's good. I think they will be able to compete with Milan and Napoli, but they are unlikely to overtake Inter, the gap is very large. Milan very often have a recession at the end of the season, Napoli also play very unstable, so I think that Juventus has very good chances to overtake them. But Inter will not lose its advantage and I think it will become a champion again.

The last time I checked the quotes for the fact that Inter would be the champion there was something like 1.1. Since then, the tournament situation has not changed much, and there are fewer games left until the end of the championship, so we can assume that Inter's chances have not become worse. As for Juventus, I doubt that they will fight for anything more than just 4th place.
9848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 29, 2022, 07:45:52 PM
Some of the match Liverpool will play in February are:

  • Burnley vs Liverpool
  • Inter vs Livepool
  • Liverpool vs Norwich City
  • Chelsea vs Liverpool

It looks like there will only be two tough match for Liverpool in February, that's the match against Inter in the Champions League and the final against Chelsea in the EFL Cup. I hope Liverpool can win these 4 games without much problem but those 2 big match are very difficult in my opinion. Klopp must really prepare a good strategy for this match, of course they must not waste the opportunity that is in their hands. Inter are a strong team, so Liverpool have to be prepared for difficult situations during the match.

By the time Liverpool play serious matches, they will most likely be in the optimal squad (if there are no injuries) as the Africa Cup of Nations comes to an end. Therefore, I can assume that they will not have problems with Inter, although it will undoubtedly be a difficult match. As for the Chelsea game, it's not a title to worry about.

Barcelona - Atletico

why are they putting barcelona as a favorite?  barcelona has a better chance of drawing in this game, so I do not see barcelona as a favorite in this game in my opinion, looking at barcelona that manages to draw with small teams then game against Atletico will be another draw

Why draw if Atlético should win (I wrote why on the previous pages)? Of course, there are no guarantees regarding the result of this match, but I think if you take the distance, then the bet on Atlético will be profitable, since it is underestimated in this match. I don't think that Barcelona's transfer activity will give a quick result, besides these odds where Barcelona are the favorites have been published in advance.

Most of us here are crypto gamblers, the pros I can see with crypto is that it's anonymous and there's a lot of available coins that gambling site accepts cryptocurrency, the downside is that the price is volatile but not much of a problem another downside is the tx fee especially with Bitcoin and Ethereum. In regards with fiat if it is stable but most of the gambling sites won't allow you to withdraw big amount of money.

Commissions for transferring funds in bitcoin have been very small for quite a long time, at least for replenishing an account. Casinos are usually insured and use a flat withdrawal fee, but you can withdraw in another cheaper currency. It is better not to deal with Ethereum at all (unless you are a high roller) the commissions are absolutely unacceptable. If you are worried about volatility, then use stablecoins, most casinos work with them, and by the way, working with them in the Solana and Tron networks requires meager commissions.

Which team is now stable to take it and give guaranteed results? City and Bayern? But I didn't hear that they were looking for a coach. Or maybe he wants to try himself in the sinking Barcelona? I think United looks better than any other club because they have a lot of potential. Coaches and players can say whatever they want, sometimes they change their minds and I wouldn't be surprised if Zidane changes his.
I've seen that changing coaches doesn't make Manchester United better. Granted I know the management were dissatisfied with what they had hoped for, but by changing the coach has anything changed? I see no significant changes.
At the beginning of Ole's arrival, there were also many opinions that it was the beginning of United's revival, followed by Rangnick.

In fact, Rangnik can hardly be called a fundamental replacement for Ole, something has changed with his arrival, but very little. When I talk about changing coaches, I mean a big charismatic figure, not "technical" coaches who will only lead the team to the end of the season when management will choose a real coach.

In Zidane's case, you know, he is looking for a stable team, the team which is looking for managers right now, and if he does not get any team like that defiantly he is not going to try his luck, and jeopardize his reputation.

But in my opinion, Zidane could do much better with Manchester United than any other coaches have done recently. Who knows maybe if Manchester United can finish in the top 4 then maybe Zidane will also change his mind!!

Risk is everywhere - even if you go to a stable team. For example, if you move to Bayern, then you are expected to win at least the German championship plus reaching the Champions League final, and the rest of the results are assessed as a partial or complete failure.
9853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 28, 2022, 09:46:39 PM
If you take the last five matches for Barcelona, you can see that they have only two wins + two losses and one draw (each loss resulted in relegation from the respective cup) https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/65/Fixtures/Spain-Barcelona
Atlético have an absolutely identical picture: https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/63/Fixtures/Spain-Atletico-Madrid
But given what I wrote above (Atletico in a temporary crisis, and Barcelona in a systemic one), I think that Atlético will easily win this match.
when I think Barcelona might be the winners, I feel like Atletico Madrid has a better chance and vice versa.
But I want to think of it in simple terms. If Barcelona wins they will be in the top four and if Atletico Madrid wins they will be able to hold their 4th position.
So, for Barcelona, it's a really important game. And also for Xavi as well. Because if Barcelona loses this they are in big trouble.

But if Atlético lose their fourth place then they too will be in huge trouble, even though Atlético are still the reigning champions. Taking into account the fact that no one left the team in Atlético, and the team was not in crisis, it can be assumed that, theoretically, one can understand the failure of Barcelona, but one cannot understand the failure of Atlético. If you think in this way, it turns out that Atlético is on the edge of the abyss and not Barcelona, so they need a victory more.

Former Inter Milan player, Evaristo Beccalossi looks like seeing if AC Milan can't be a candidate for the Scudetto this season. Because, according to him this season there are only Napoli and Inter competing to become champions. If we are looking for it, I think there's still some truth about his statements, because Milan's position is currently under pressure. If the Milan players do not have the confidence and mentality that is good enough, Milan could be fall in the standings. The January transfer which was failure for Rossoneri, and it seemed to have to reduced AC Milan's chances of getting a trophy.

He probably still continues to root for Inter, so he mentally wishes it an easier opponent (Napoli). Although in my opinion this season, Milan shows a more stable game (it's hard to ignore this monstrous failure of Napoli, which was just recently). By the way, he does not mention Juventus at all - this is logical, but some are still talking about some theoretical options when Juventus could be the first.
9855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 28, 2022, 09:34:02 PM
Barca is getting serious on the transfer market. After they signed Adama Traoré today, they are also in close negotiations with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal London
However, Juventus Torino is also said to still be in the race for Aubameyang. In the end, the money will probably be decisive and I see Juventus as having the advantage since I think that Barca will not invest such much money for an old player with the high debt amount.

Barcelona seem to be really worried about the prospect of being out of the top 4 and losing even more money from not participating in the Champions League, so they are making some investments in the squad. Or maybe it was the initiative of Xavi who was able to convince the management that without at least some purchases, the club would stagnate. In any case, this is good news for Barcelona.

I don't think Neymar will play for PSG on champion league faced with Real Madrid because he still injury and miss many match on Ligue 1 or domestic league. Last week PSG without Messi and Neymar not really any news what happen with two star player of PSG and both player still less contribution in this season for PSG. But I hope both team Madrid and PSG should have completed player when first and second leg to make match most interested and exactly will have many goals both team are scoring between Madrid or PSG, but Madrid have good team working right now than PSG still need time how to make star player can working toegether.

In the match with Reims, Messi came on as a substitute, so we can assume that he is fine. As for Neymar, nothing is clear yet, perhaps he will have time to recover even for the first match, which will take place on February 15th. It seems that he has already cured the injury, but the recovery is not over yet, he will be released on the field only if they are sure that there is no danger of re-injury.
9858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 28, 2022, 01:00:17 PM
This has been a trend for Dortmund for quite a long time. They have bought so many unknown players and converted them into big stars. Haaland, Sancho, Dembele is just a few examples among many.

With this, they also make a huge profit. For example, they sold Dembele to FCB for €150M and sold Sancho to UTD for around €60M or €70M I guess.
And right now, Haaland is like a hot cake in the transfer market. From what I'm thinking, he will be sold for about at least €120M for sure.

You forgot the most striking example - Lewandowski. And very often these new stars were taken by Bavaria. But in fairness, it must be admitted that there were also transitions in the opposite direction, but of course they were not so stellar. But these are the realities of a club for which money is more important than titles - I think the shareholders are quite happy with how Borussia make money on transfers.

I'm thinking Egypt can be the better side with there compactness and strong attackers and good on penalty kicks. Cameroon didn't really impress me with there last game with Comoros playing a man down and yet bitting harder with the pedigree of the Cameroon. I expect that the next set of games will really show who is ready to lift the cup.

But in this set of games there is not one (except maybe Egypt - Morocco) where the main contenders for the title will meet. Cameroon and Senegal have easy opponents and it will be difficult to judge how ready they are if they win their matches. Burkina Faso and Tunisia are underdogs in this group of teams. The only thing we will be able to see in this round is how much Egypt can mobilize, at the moment their game is not convincing.

I haven't seen the game, but from what I've read the game was quite controversial.
Two expulsions, with very lengthy analysis by the VAR and the referee. As well as expulsions reversed after analyzing the images, despite being very dubious releases.
Anyway, the referee turns out to be an element that did not help an excellent football show.

Given all these events, the show turned out great. And if you take the final result, then it arranged for both teams - Brazil did not lose and Ecuador scored an important point. As for refereeing decisions, if this match had an important tournament value, then most likely they would have caused a scandal and a long discussion after the match.
