9841  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 23, 2018, 08:06:29 AM
this site in serious need of a ticket system with some support staff like any other gambling site. long ago when freebitco.in was only a faucet the current system with just an Email in the FAQ section would have been enough but now it is a full gambling site with dice, lottery and even an investment section and as the options grow, the user base grows with it and with all of that their problems will also grow in number.
so users require an easy way of contacting support and a support team which gets their problems solved fast.
maybe even a chatbox is not a bad idea either.

I like the chatbox idea and it would be nice to add that so that you can talk with your referrals when they are online. That way you can motivate them to use the faucet more and even work out a strategy where you give them a higher percentage of their referral commision back when they use the faucet and gambling more.

It should be configured that you would only be able to send messages to the admins and support staff and to your referrals when they are online. This is beneficial for the site, because it will encourage people to use the site more.

Chat box is a nice idea but it's a pain for the mod to look after it and answer each and every thing, and people will crib about it if they don't get a answer, plus people will spam it with their bitcoins addresses seeking free money or facets lol. I would suggest Tawk software easy, simple and effective. Though I would advise caution as people would flood it with shit requests and it'll be taken off but it's the owners call.

Not if it is implemented correctly. Assign mods to moderate it and temporary ban people that misuse it. If you configure it in the way that I suggested, then other people will not be annoyed by anyone else, because they will not see their comments. <You can see the admin and the people in your referral network and nobody else>

A open Chatbox where millions on users communicate simultaneously, will be a nightmare to mod.

I would like to motivate my referral network and be able to see when they are logged in, even if I can just send them a little text message to thank them for my free coins.

9842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalize Bitcoin on: March 23, 2018, 07:40:54 AM
It is mostly about politics. China has a history of total control over their citizens. <Big internet firewall> So for a government that are focused on total obedience and control, Bitcoin would pose a huge risk. They tolerated it for many years, because the Chinese wants to dominate everything and the Bitcoin miners dominated Bitcoin mining for many years.

They still allow it, but they have very strict regulations for their Bitcoin exchanges and services. Japan is playing another game, where they opened their doors to Bitcoin use, but they are over taxing it as a source of income tax and slowly discouraging people to use it.
9843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH vs BTC? on: March 23, 2018, 07:34:03 AM
Bitcoin Cash, alias BCash or BCrash or BCrap are being pumped by a army of Roger Ver minions. They are shilling against Bitcoin and even calling BCash the "Real" Bitcoin. They are no different from any of the 2000 Alt coins out there at the moment, gunning for the top spot.

We know their strategies and the FUD that are being spread, so something like this does not phase us at all. We are blue blood Bitcoin supporters to the end. ^smile^
9844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell all you got NOW!!! Tomorrow will be too late! on: March 23, 2018, 07:23:32 AM
The more revealing information about this is that Bitcoin is still at the smallest bubble phase and most of these other bubbles have been around for ages. So if we are a bubble and these other markets have not popped yet, then we still have lots of time to swim with the big sharks.

The difference with Crypto currencies are the build in "Bubble" protection that Bitcoin seem to have. When the bubble grows too quickly, a pressure value is opened via a mini dump and the bubble goes down.  Grin

9846  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Video Contest OCC 10 Million tokens! on: March 22, 2018, 06:01:53 AM
What I like about this is the fact that you have to put in some work to get some tokens. It is not just a free airdrop to people who has done nothing to earn their tokens. What I do not like is that the people who made the effort, will not be rewarded and only the 1st and 2cnd entry will get something.

There are a lot of professional video creators out there, so they have the advantage over the amateurs. I hope you would consider giving tokens to more people that showed some effort.  Roll Eyes
9847  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-21]The Night $1 Million in Crypto Began Raining From the Sky on: March 22, 2018, 05:53:28 AM
"The capital will fund Mainframe’s development of a messaging service that is not only encrypted, but masks the trajectory of messages using “dark routing,” in order to be “censorship-resistant and surveillance-resistant.” Such technology, the company argues, will better preserve users’ freedom." This is going to get a lot of resistance from governments all over the world and these guys are worried about the SEC declaring it as a security.  Roll Eyes

" It’s unclear if Mainframe’s literal “air drop” would pass legal muster in the United States, or if regulators in other countries will agree the gimmick does not violate securities laws. "

The government will find a way to stop this, they always do. ^grrrrr^
9848  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: A Proof of Concept Tutorial on How To Break the Ledger Security Model on: March 22, 2018, 05:40:44 AM
The guy who exposed this exploit was not happy with the way that the technicians handled this matter. He said that they lacked the knowledge and understanding of how this exploit worked, so he went public with this. If this is true, then I would be worried about the skill levels of these developers/technicians.

By going public, before the fix was in place, could have serious implications. He would have given hackers the knowledge before the fix was applied. <not everyone read everything on Reddit or whatever platform he announced it on.>
9849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter CEO Says Bitcoin Will Be Worlds Single Leading Currency on: March 22, 2018, 05:30:11 AM
Bitcoin is already the worlds leading Crypto currency. I disagree with him that Bitcoin would replace Fiat currencies, because the world is not ready for that and neither Bitcoin scaling at the moment. These governments will rather create their own GovCoins where they have full control over the currency, before they allow Bitcoin to replace their Fiat currencies.

We have already seen this in places like Denmark, where they want to move to a cashless society.  Roll Eyes
9850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxable cryptocurrencies. on: March 22, 2018, 05:21:43 AM
There is no difference between Crypto currencies and other commodities that are being traded on a open market. When you trade a commodity and you made a profit, you should pay capital gains on that profit. The US see that as trade income and they define Bitcoin as a commodity.

You should just keep good records of all your trades to see if you made a profit or a loss at the end of the financial year. <Some of the regulated exchanges have some reporting options for you, if you want to export that data  to a spreadsheet.>
9851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Advertising on: March 22, 2018, 05:13:34 AM
Advertisements on television is expensive and not a option for smaller Crypto currency businesses. I have seen some insurance companies that had some promotions where they advertised "Ransomware" protection and they offered bitcoins as a price for the first 10 businesses that signed up for that.

It was a video on Youtube, but I cannot seem to find it now. I will edit this post, if I find it.  Grin
9852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is it safe to make direct payment from my Hardware Wallet on: March 21, 2018, 06:36:58 AM
It depends on what function your hard wallet gives you. I do not use my hard wallet for long-term cold storage, but rather regular use. I store more than 80% of my coins on paper wallets for long-term storage, so that strategy allows me to use my hard wallet for daily use.

Just split your strategy for storing coins between different methods. You do not want to have all your eggs in one basket, when thieves or governments comes knocking at your door. ^smile^

Update your firmware on your Ledger and watch out for the Man-in-the-middle attack. <verify the address on the device>
9853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: centralize money vs. decetralized money (bitcoin) on: March 21, 2018, 06:11:30 AM
A Crypto currency can still be built on a decentralized network and still be centralized. Take all these Blockchain based <private> technologies that are being developed. They will store the "Blockchain" in a decentralized manner for more security, but it will be privately managed by a centralized authority.

The distinction should be made between "private" and "public" decentralization of the network. These "private" decentralized technologies are the biggest threat, because their decisions are not based on the consensus of the public, but rather the decision of a centralized authority.

The Bank that owns this decentralized network makes all the decisions and implement them by pushing the new changes to all of their privately owned "nodes" <See the danger in that?>
9854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe someday there will be clarity about who really Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 21, 2018, 06:00:14 AM
A lot of people want to know this for different reasons. I am also curious about this, because I would want to meet the creator of the technology that changed my life. Unfortunately there are other people who wants this knowledge to hurt Satoshi. <Satoshi has over a million coins, which makes him a perfect target for criminals>

The governments and the companies that was disrupted by his technology, wants Satoshi to face some jail time. <They will find a reason>
9855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the common challenges for bitcoin user? on: March 21, 2018, 05:51:14 AM
We should reduce the criminal elements within our community. We should be the driving force behind this to weed out these criminals. By doing this, we will show that we as a community, do not support criminals and that we are not criminals as suggested by many of the mainstream media.

We have a lot of talented developers and white hat hackers to help us with this. They should help us to expose these criminals.
9856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a physical currency called Bitcoin? on: March 21, 2018, 05:35:11 AM
I think asset backed coins is going to be the next evolution to this technology. I am hesitant to invest in anything where the asset class is controlled and manipulated by governments. Who knows how much physical gold are really stored in Fort Knox for instance? <Lots of rumors says it is gone>

Just give me a coin that are backed by the market supply & demand and not controlled by governments, because they can take it away in an instant.
9857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: G20 Calls for Crypto Regulation Recommendations By July on: March 21, 2018, 05:25:05 AM
Well I would want to see some central authority making the decisions on what ICOs are verified <KYC/AML> and which is not. If investors wants to decide in which ones they want to invest, then they just access that database to see if they are registered and verified by that authority.

The scam ICOs are doing a lot more harm than having a centralized authority to make those decisions. This is not the ideal solution, but it will help to reduce scams. Self regulation as suggested by the Winkelvoss twins are not going to work, because they lack the teeth to enforce criminal prosecution.
9858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: seems newbie is not welcomed here on: March 20, 2018, 06:54:42 AM
Look at it from another angle.

The forum is being bombarded with people that are creating newbie accounts to spam or advertise illegal content. They have to make this forum a nice place for legitimate and genuine Bitcoin enthusiasts. So, how do they discourage that kind of posting? - They restrict newbies more than other higher ranking users.

You go through this learning and educational newbie phase, to improve your posting quality and to show that you are also here for the right reasons. <Not spamming / shilling / bot posting etc.>

Once you bumped into some <no go areas> and your posts have been moderated, you will know what is accepted and what not.

We have all gone through this initiation or Hazing phase and we survived. Now we know what is accepted and what is not. Just read and follow the rules and you will be fine.  Wink

Congratulations! I honestly did not think that I was going to see this. I thought it was just a myth.  Roll Eyes ...You truly deserve that, because I see that you were doing this every hour on the hour for almost 12 to 13 hours in a row. That takes true dedication and I applaud that.

Enjoy your winnings.  Cheesy
9860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does bitcoin affect the ability of the state to collect income tax? on: March 20, 2018, 06:09:41 AM
In some countries these governments defined Bitcoin as a commodity and when a commodity is traded, you are responsible to pay the Capital Gains on your profits. When the government define it as a currency, the citizens have to pay VAT on all the transactions that are made. < All the goods bought & Services paid for >

The government will be better off defining it as a commodity, because they will then double tax it. You pay once, when you declare the profits from the trading and then you still have to pay the VAT, when you use it. Japan is currently milking their Bitcoin users, with very high taxes.
