PSG worth another upset today you think guys? 10x with a boost for a Metz win right now, but they already haven't lose twice in a row since 1984, but shit things come in threes, right? Plus all those red cards aren't going to help them tonight... except Di Maria's back in the lineup. Tricky!

Steve of sportsbet.io has some big news to break either today or tomorrow. He said it’s on par with their sponsorship of Southampton FC.

I wonder what it is.....

Me looking up premier league clubs with sponsor crisis, not finding anything. It's definitely pretty big, judging from that naughty silence you know precedes something very noisy;)

9842  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your plans for the coming bull on: September 16, 2020, 10:27:50 AM
If the bull run comes to your low potential coins, then you can sell it at once to make a profit in bitcoin. But if that does not happen, you need to wait for another time because we never know if the bull run will come to all coins at the market, or it is just for some coins. Yes, when the bull run comes, many coins can surge to the high price, and many of that coins will make a new ATH again, making us hope not to miss the chance to sell it.

But still, the bull run is not giving a sign because bitcoin once again gets down, and we don't know when bitcoin price will go up again.

All my bags looking lonely and untouched for years now. I'll definitely be happy to offload them for some nice btc but at the moment I'll really only be trading them in for bags of satoshi. Yep, I bought truly shit shitcoins.

Defi's not making me change my mind. Learnt my lessons. Bitcoin it is and only Bitcoin.

If you actually blew money on BJ I guess you would be a bit happier at the moment Smiley Sorry could not resist, you even used word blew in the sentence

Lyon not looking so good at the moment. I have that game as both to score so my bet is looking a bit better.

Edit: and now best Lyon player got red card for very stupid and unnecessary challenge, seems to me we both got screwed and this post is rapidly getting NSFW so i better stop writing

Heh, you said it my friend. Happy endings aren't always on the menu though, but yeah Lyon was a shitty bet to make I knew it, don't know why I still went for them, must be all that Champions League euphoria getting to their heads.

MM is up I haven't made my picks just yet. Very tricky games in there (I see you, Spurs).

I'm also in the same boat after Benfica got dumpstered by PAOK in the semi finals of the qualifiers. Decided to double down on the Celtics then it backfired on me.  Tongue

Thankfully I still have enough funds to maintain my streak for the Live Casino Hero.

At current rate, I'm breaking even on Casino Live (if I assume I last til the end), I like the speed on BlackJack (so Trofo doesn't NSFW again haha) and I have a bad habit of chasing losses on the sidebets!
9844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurency is real money real asset but why not insured? on: September 16, 2020, 05:18:02 AM
Insurance in its purest sense is just you betting against a company that something bad will happen, you know that right? So if you want insurance, go ahead and offer the bet to an insurance company.

Besides, Japan and South Korea, among the ones I know of anyway, already make it a requirement for licensed exchanges to offer deposit insurances.

So if you're depositing and keeping your money in an exchange that doesn't have an insurance policy, that's on you.

Keep it in your own wallet. And keep it secure. And you rest easy not worrying about hacks on exchanges.
9845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 15, 2020, 07:26:40 PM
Thanks for sharing that jeremy. I've got my bet down early on Lyon right now, despite personal misgivings about the French CL semifinalists. Win or lose, 2 free bets on the weekend is glorious.

Looking forward to next MM too, which really is what we're all here for eh? Got a good feeling on underdogs;)

P.S. Who else here's on Live Casino Hero? I can't believe I blew money on BJ today, chased a loss and regret it heh.
9846  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Proud partner of Southampton FC 🚀 on: September 15, 2020, 05:39:26 PM
What hey! Freebets galore, double the Saintly offer;) Massive news coming, already salivating over all the extra action I'll get and this weekend I'm all home to enjoy the footie.

the odds from 1.50 are very decent because usually its always 1.80 or above on most sites. maybe i will give it a shot but then with a low stake this time.
maybe some people have any suggestions for me. can use some help in picking games because after corona it is really unpredictable what is going on.

More than decent. Deceptively easy bets too, especially if you're not familiar with the lineups (cue me and my Sevilla bet today in a friendly against Levante haha).
9847  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-09-14] RGB Continues Its Work to Bring Better Smart Contracts to Bitcoin on: September 15, 2020, 02:16:57 PM
Been a while since I saw any mention of RGB!

Also, been seeing a lot of movements with Rootstock (now acquired, part of larger IOVLabs and a full stack of products now) and chatter about Bitcoin Defi (naturally!). Not sure I like all these wrapped Bitcoin nonsense though.

I've asked in 2016 and still, can't even find a simple BTC escrow smart contract to use right off the bat...
9848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 15, 2020, 12:33:23 PM
^re Sofascore is also what I use as I follow a number of "exotic leagues" and they seem to have a handle even on the most obscure friendlies and leagues but I personally use Livescores app when I'm on the move and want to "watch" the game. They have a sort of text/image visual of team movements and commentary, albeit with a minute delay or so.

Spend $50 on Liverpool, rd=p Klopp will be sure to shakedown VVD and Gomez.

Round 2. Wolves City and Chelsea Liverpool. I'm home all weekend for the first time in weeks, so chuffed.
9849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 15, 2020, 11:23:54 AM
Good call on all those finalisations, Trofo. I think for a first edition 13 players really isn't such a bad start, I'm honestly surprised not more people are in it but I guess Spanish-speaking players don't really come into this section of the forum?

Put in my 2nd round picks already, including a nice upset;)

Hello, this is a great comment.

What you are suggesting sounds similar to the NFL promo we are running now. What are your thoughts on this? It has been very well received.
https://www.betcoin.ag/nfl-football-handicapper-battle-265-btc-prize-pool

We agree that the parlay promo was a player favorite and have updated it previously, based on player feedback. We will definitely try and get that one back in 2021, with some updated rules.

Dice is back and improved:

Let us know what you think!

Aye, I saw NFL and that's pretty much the sort of contest that'll attract the boys and girls -- sadly, don't know much about the game (more accurately, know nothing of it).

Looking forward to the parlay promo, that was really fun, but probably a bit too skewed towards people who spend all their lives on the platform.

And OMG Dice! I'll let you know when I get down and dirty on my next sesh;)

Seems like the Belgian regulars in Europe are having a shitty time this new season. The Gents and Genks losing, Antwerp and Brugge below qualification phases. Strange times in a way, and damn them for giving me a loss like this.

Game 1: US Pergolettese 1932 - Atalanta BC. Atalanta WIN @2.47. Betcoin odds: 2.48
Game 2: Sevilla FC - Levante UD. Sevilla WIN @1.38. Betcoin odds: 1.38
Game 3: AL Duhail SC - Sharjah FC. Al Duhail WIN @1.55. Betcoin odds: 1.51

Odds advantage: 11

Running advantage after 5 bets: +253 (+11)

Tell you what, if FJ brings back MajSev, then they should make it a paying one. $1 per entry or something ridiculously small but will prevent all them multi bastards from taking part=p

Think the reason a lot of these promos don't continue is all the freeloaders NOT gambling (no offence).
9853  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐BETCOIN.AG-NFL Handicapper Promo-2.65 BTC in Prizes-BTC, ETH, XRP, XMR Casino⭐ on: September 14, 2020, 01:20:53 PM
Hey Betcoin;) I'd like to hijack the question you asked another user about soccer competitions and offer some opinions. I took part in a lot of the competitions you offered in the past and I thought they were great (biggest winning parlays etc) but I guess you remember the feedback that it still benefits players who spam post a lot of parlays to win.

Prediction based contests are always the most popular, I've seen others do it and they get a LOT of participation but I understand also for the book, you want wagering also, otherwise no growth and no traction!

So have a prediction type contest, BUT to minimise a lot of spammers and fake accounts, WHILE also getting some volume from the competition, think about a mechanism that asks people to actually bet. This can either be charging users a nominal amount just for a chance to play OR giving players more entries for every amount wagered. E.g. Pay 0.1 mbtc to participate, or win 1 entry for every 1 mbtc bet on certain markets.

Alternatively, don't associate an entry fee but use something like your parlay contest but have like a whole campaign lasting maybe over 30 days. With last man standing to win a prize pool. Give people a week to sign up, and then once it starts, every day, to remain in the race, you must BET a certain amount AND WIN a certain amount, to progress to the next day.

e.g. Bet live or pre-match single or parlay a total of 2 mbtc a day. MUST also win 0.5 mbtc a day. After 30 days, all remaining players share a prize.

P.S. Bring dice back =D

Simpler, tougher parlay?

Game 2: Brighton & Hove Albion FC - Chelsea FC. Chelsea WIN @1.62. Betcoin odds: 1.60
Game 3: K Beerschot VA - KRC Genk. Genk WIN @2.03. Betcoin odds: 2.01
100 units parlay at Sportsbet @8.22. Betcoin parlay: 7.96
Bet ID: 5f5f4c48dd80bf5b195b00e9

9855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 14, 2020, 10:18:46 AM
I had just 6 correct this time around. I prefer to have a bad multimaster rather then another one where I am one hit away from money.

I also noticed that it has gotten much harder to get close to the money. We have more players participating or everybody just started predicting so much better. At least now the games are from known leagues and i don't have to waste time researching them.

You and me both I guess. I actually seemed to be doing really well until yesterday, as I mentioned, same points as JanpriX until it all went to hell starting with La Liga haha.

Always prefer to do really badly, law of mean and average means I should then keep my "good luck" for the big wins;)

But I don't know, I actually won it last round so maybe I'm getting better hahahaha...
9856  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-09-10] Community-Funded Bitcoin Awareness Campaign Unveiled in Hong Kong on: September 14, 2020, 09:06:54 AM
Considering current condition of Hong Kong, looks like the campaign will be very effective compared with Bitcoin awareness campaign on another country.

I don't know if Bitcoin Magazine shows all campaign image, but it's too bad there's no image which dedicated to tell you that only you who have control over your money.

To be fair, if you really want people to take notice and get curious, then telling them to be your own bank and using #MagicInternetMoney will probably be the way to go.

It'll likely attract the general speculator and curious people, but those more interested in Bitcoin as sovereign money will dig deeper, just as we all did when moving on from faucets and magicmoney memes;)
9857  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Proud partner of Southampton FC 🚀 on: September 14, 2020, 07:02:34 AM
To be honest, I expected way more continuous days of having a stagnant participant level, but I suppose as the days draw on, some people may simply grow impatient.

I think it's more of people forgetting! I almost forgot myself on a couple of occassions, even though I'm on SB every day. This probably is more of an endurance challenge in that sense;)

Hei Steve, what a crazy F1 race did we had, right ? I mean it was amazing from start to finish with 2 red flags , 8 retired cars , a podium for Albon, 1st points for Kimi , 3 safety cars and 2 re.starts :O. This was the cherry on the pie guys and I strongly recommend to watch the highlights or watch the race again. Massive congrats to Lewis tho.

Are you playing Sports Guru as well? I was pretty sure I put my picks in, and was bummed I didn't go for the safety car safety net, but can't seem to find my history in SG now, so don't know how well I did (I got all the Hamilton picks right).
9858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Mom Hester Peirce Officially Sworn in as SEC Commissioner. Will this help on: September 14, 2020, 05:56:07 AM
That said, many people who were placed in positions of power that were pro Bitcoin before Trump was in power.. has changed their views on it when they got the positions when they won the elections... so let's hope she will not do the same.  Roll Eyes

Although, I think in the first place a lot of people use their positionings to sway voters and sway lobbyists and influence the flow of money, sometimes if supporting (or going against) Bitcoin is to their advantage, they'd do it anyway.

Peirce is different though, she actually has quite a lot of pragmatism in her views, which aren't all simply pro Bitcoin, and I think she genuinely feels the system needs to change quickly, not necessarily just by adopting crypto, which also makes her Crypto Mom tag slightly erroneous and seems to undermine what she's really all about.
9859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 13, 2020, 03:47:06 PM
@jayce: Heh yeah, they certainly gave us a scare. Mind you, both Bielsa and Klopp will be giving a huge bollocking to their defenders for playing like schoolboys last night.

@toke:Actually, we have more or less the same players last season or from previous season all enter -- I see a number of names I don't recognise, neither on Superbru nor on this forum, so I imagine some are just gunning for the huge prize and/or are Sportsbet players who don't come on the forum much. Joca I know is a tipster on the forum but usually on Nitrogen, saw he joined (hey Joca;) ).

Too unbothered to check, more money for me when I sweep it all muahahaha.

Anyway.

The other promoted team WBHA. Not a single shot on target, Vardy joins Salah already on the race for goals, routine win for Leicester, too bad I didn't stick to my guns and go 3-0, I went for 3-1 thinking Albion at least had a goal in them.

26/48 so far, Fulham pick really hurt me haha.

Spurs-Everton, brave Joca went on 0-0. Stevebitcointalk (is that SB itself?) went for a Toffees win! On evidence of first 15 mins, maybe not such a bad pick. Son and Kane a bit subdued, but they're generally like that at first I guess. But Richarlison 1-on-1, rounded the keeper, and then blasted into the skies. Heh.
9860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is possible that bitcoin will use nowadays in cash less transaction? on: September 13, 2020, 03:26:20 PM
Yeah, people who keep saying that obviously have never actually tried going out and using Bitcoin to do shit. I'm living in I guess what one might call first world now and it's hard enough getting some shops to accept a pin instead of cash, never mind whipping out my phone and asking if they accept Bitcoin!

Forget cashless first and focus on using it online instead. Then work your way up with LN in places that are already cashless.
In my country, bitcoin is still not considered a means of payment and people don't care much about bitcoin. But where they don't accept cash, they also require a bank's payment card rather than bitcoin. No one advertises for bitcoin so it's possible that people don't know bitcoin much in my place.
[/quote]

And as I said, even those who do "care" about Bitcoin are still going to be speculators, traders at best. We're not going to be sharing this discussion with actual users... who definitely care about adoption and hence are using as much as possible.

So back to my point. You don't need to ask merchants to advertise Bitcoin. Or ask for more places to use it or promote cashless and crypto cards etc. That's what altcoin people do.

Bitcoiners simply Bitcoin. That use and increased demand won't go unnoticed. Then merchants will see the market and begin thinking, fuck it, yes, I want in on it.
