9841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at 4500$-5000$ August-September 2018 !!! on: August 17, 2018, 06:34:17 PM
It could really go to $4500-$5K but its possible that once we test that low, Investors will suddenly flock the market again and we will see good bounce after that bottom price. Right now, the $6K support is strong and we might see a good $7K run as well. We also should look at the bright side of that low price... good buying points for everyone.  Smiley
9842  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: August 17, 2018, 05:05:17 PM
The blockchain is still in the process of development maybe it will move the society in the future by its mass adoption but for now, I can't see it coming just like the technology that we have right now particularly on its early days some of its critics that day turned it down but here we are it was being used for our daily lives but still improving well for the market disheartening but at the same time you can buy more to cover your loss once the recovery kicks in.

Blockchain can really make a disruption to every society in the world. But its early to call as its on the early stage and governments are trying to figure out how to take advantage of this technology to improve the lives of their people. Their might be using it to provide good support (healthcare wise, improved their services etc). So we will have to wait, probably the picture might be clearer in about 3-5 years.
9843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 17, 2018, 09:04:31 AM
It's just a prediction but this could be good for the Lakers, Leonard and Lebron James playing together, they'll definitely dominate in the league.
I like their chances then, hopefully the Lakers will be back on the championship next year.
Leonard and James is a good combination but like the hearsay that they can't play together from the start. But I do think that this can be one of the best tandem for this season. It's too early to speculate but if this rumor can be for real, well see another team that has been made and teamed up just to beat a certain team. If you know what I mean.

Its gonna be interesting to see those 2 play together, we also did say that Lebron and Wade will not be a match but they proved everything wrong at Miami. Let's see how it goes in the following year. Its a intriguing combination, but if they blend well then they will give GSW a run for their money.  Wink
9844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Holds Above $6k on: August 16, 2018, 09:26:50 AM
i'm additionally no longer too amazed, it is just someone's recreation. in my view, the fee of bitcoin has been manipulated for a long time and will retain within the destiny, we need different cash to make up for the alternative figure coin standards.

Remarkably, bitcoin still holds above $6K and its good to see the price hovering around $6400-$6500. I don't have any good explanation except another bull trap or dead cat bounce. We see a lot of threads bitching around saying bitcoin is going to $5K-$4K and yet we are still here holding and surprisingly we are going towards $6500 again.
9845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 16, 2018, 08:59:05 AM
A lot of happenings today, I think this hasn't been posted.

NBA trade news: Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler exits, Raptors confirm deal, Lakers claim

Interesting to hear that Kyrie Irving doesn't want to sign a extension with the Celtics. He even haven't had the time to show his skills in a Celtics uniform and now his thinking of leaving them? Is he thinking of joining another team that has a star and be a potential super teams? I don't know about Butler's case though, he also turns down a lucrative contract offered to him.

It got me thinking that it he doesn't really wanted to play with Boston, but since he has no choice last year. He want out of Cavaliers and that time Boston has a good offer. He take it, play a few games, need to be sidelined because he got injured. Perfect. Now he is looking for a new team to get a super max contract and make him more money.
9846  Other / Meta / Re: HOW TO AVOID SPAMMING on: August 16, 2018, 08:18:59 AM
I also noticed that spammers have evolved as well.

Of course the usual bounty hunters, but we used to hunt spammers doing copy-and-paste, but seems progress from using homographs attacks, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2977866 to using spinning software or bots.

I guess the only weapon we have is a collective effort to report those shitposters/spammers so that appropriate actions could be taken.
9847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GGG vs Canelo II on: August 16, 2018, 05:57:53 AM
Just one month from now, we will see another anticipated rematch in boxing. Both of them are throwing jabs and really talking smack. However, its really going to be interesting how Canelo, (without the tainted meat in his system Grin) can KO GGG,

Quote
“From the beginning, I will work him to look for that KO,” Alvarez said Wednesday through a translator on a conference call. “That’s what I’ll be doing from the very first round. That’s why I’m training and I’m mentally prepared to do that. Obviously, that’s the way I want this fight to end, by knockout, and for them to raise my hand after that knockout victory.”

9848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 16, 2018, 05:33:24 AM
It looks like we need to wait for Andy Murray's comeback as he was defeated by Lucas Pouille in the first round of the Cincinnati Masters. He withdraw from the Roger's Cup to continue his recovery but I think he needs more time not just physically but emotionally as well. Novak, Kei Nishikori and Denis Shapovalov get a win and will get thru the next round.

I really think Murray should now rest up and maybe miss the US Open this year and get his body fit and healthy ready for the new tennis season next year. He could aim for the Australian Open where he has had some success making the final on a number of occasions. There is no point pushing on if his body isn't 100% ready just yet. Novak is looking good and is getting back into top form, I actually like him to win the US Open even though I have a bet on  Dominic Thiem to win it as a value bet.

Agree, his body and mind are giving him a different signals. Specially after the Citi Open, he looks as though he stretch his body too far for a recovery. Its better for him to rest and don't join any tournaments this year and be back 2019 fresh and strong mentally and maybe its going to a slow progress but at least a better choice right now instead of pushing his body to the limits and get injured again.
9849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tighten your seat belts and hodl the bulls are coming. on: August 15, 2018, 04:46:44 PM
We have seen a big bull in December, we have seen a bear market for over 6 months now, there has been days of $8k and have been days of $5.8k and now at around $6.4k and what not. At this point I do not believe bitcoin can stay still. Either going down or up it will definitely move some direction because the volatility is caused by the smaller volume yet higher speculation Bull may come, I don't know if they will or if they won't but I know they are there, I know people who believe in bitcoin price going up is there, I just don't know what they are doing and what they are aiming at right now, maybe collect cheaper bitcoin slowly instead of going all at once?

I think the audience is really mature now. There might be FOMO but at least a good one year in crypto will give you a good experience and you make the decision based on what you are seeing. Unlike a year ago when everyone will really jump in and pounce and purchased bitcoin as any rate. Yes, the bulls are still waiting from the outside, but they are not ready unless they see something that they know, something big before entering the ecosystem again.
9850  Other / Meta / Re: Trade.io spamming on: August 15, 2018, 10:15:02 AM
5 days ago, Trade.io opened up its trading platform (originally slated for May), however the price continued to plummet from as high as $1.70-$0.15 as of the moment. So its pretty obvious that they are spamming the hell out of the forum to create another hype on their platform.

Although, this might look like its the case. There's no actual proof of this. Normally, these types of advertisement spams are offering a reward to its users rather than spamming themselves because its much more efficient. Plus, because there's several accounts which have been registered for a few months, and have suddenly started posting the advertisement spam I think that they may well be offering some sort of bonus.

I haven't researched in enough depth to see if this is the case yet though.

Could be, but its hard to proved, although they are offering airdrops:

https://www.reddit.com/r/TradeIOICO/

Grin possible that one requirements though is to spam this forum before getting the bounties. hehehehe.

9852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Market is The best To Find gem? on: August 15, 2018, 09:08:16 AM
Hello there fellow traders!
So as days past by, there are this gem that surprisely booming in the Market.

Can you suggest where is the best exchange we can find  gem to invest with?

What do you mean find gems? and it has nothing to do with exchanges. They are just a platform which you can trade. It is still up to the buyers and sellers of a particular coin. If you really wanted to find gems then look for the coin itself and not exchanges. Of course its better if these coins are listed on a trusted exchanges, but then again, most of them are just for pump-and-dump so its really hard unless you monitor a certain coin and see if it has real usage.
9853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: We have to bring more money into the market on: August 12, 2018, 09:07:24 PM
They are playing us.  Why would they want things to be decentralized?   They are saying they are going to invest, to get people to go long on the market, while they make a ton on shorting it.  It seems about 70 billion has left the market in the last two weeks, all the time when the media was hyping about Wall Street money coming in.

Its very clear that they are setting us up, a bull run and when everyone feels confident that the market is on the road to recovery, those manipulators started to short then followed by panic. I guess we really need to learn our lessons ASAP.

We have to bring more money in, just like in the beginning.

The only problem I see is where the money should came from? There's no one willing to pour big cash right now because of the market situation. And no big news to back it up, unlike last year when Japan enters the crypto sphere, everyone wanted to join and FOMO and then those institutional investors put a big hype, but now it died down and we can even say that they have something to do with this bear season.
9854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours a day are you spending on online gambling? on: August 12, 2018, 09:25:07 AM
I was just thinking how much time people spend on gambling sites on a daily basis? I bounce back and forth between work

and household activities, but in my spare time, I like to chill with a beer in hand and doing some casual gambling. I do this

while watching TV, so it is part of my entertainment time.  Wink  Do you think, time spend on gambling is linked to gambling

addiction? Let's discuss this.  Wink

I not a fan of online gambling but I would say that 1-2 hour per week tops. I usually play slots and dice and if my bankroll is swept then I quit. As for the second question, I'm not sure if there's a relationship as I haven't found any studies that confirmed otherwise. Perhaps the availability of internet gambling might have contributed to gambling addiction, but we can see that others play online gambling to relieve stress and for entertainment purpose only.
9855  Economy / Economics / Re: Bear trap or bull trap? on: August 12, 2018, 08:58:24 AM
Are we going to Saturn or will cryptos reach only the moon?

You should put what price do you think that those traps are going to be. But right now its still up on the open and could probably another bull trap for all we know. If we see the price goes along the $6600-$6800 in the next 48 hours then for me its another bull trap. We have seen this kind of bull traps this year alone that's why I still try to be cautious. The ETF delay has somewhat subsides as of the moment, but I a bit worried that the price shoots up from <$6K to $6300-$6400 in the last 36 hours, if this trend continues then I have a feeling that someone is setting a big trap again, in my opinion.
9856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price LIVE:BTC in danger of dropping to $4,000 ... on: August 12, 2018, 08:37:37 AM
WTF is this article? Did the author really look at the current price before publishing this article? I bet. that the author doesn't know a single thing about how bitcoin price moves, and this is another clickbait article. This is just another FUD news and I have no idea why the editor allow such kind of garbage and rubbish article to be published in the first place.

9857  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I have signed up on localbitcoins.com - deposited bitcoins - and can't login. on: August 12, 2018, 08:13:24 AM
Perhaps you can try to get their attention on Twitter and see how it goes. https://twitter.com/LocalBitcoins.
Seems effective to me once, (but not LBC), I have a issue with a exchange and not responding to my queries. But when I tweet something and it attracts a lot of attention, they quickly resolved it. hehehehe. Try it might work Wink
9858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 12, 2018, 07:45:55 AM
And he continues his giant killing spree with 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 7-6 (9-7) win over Anderson. He already beaten 4 top 10 players so far. So his dream run still continues. So let's forget about Nick Kyrgios for a moment, because we have a new kid in town. Really unbelievable, and still at 19, this kid has a bright future ahead of him.

9859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny wins over Matthysse!! on: August 11, 2018, 07:49:31 PM
Another interesting note regarding Manny. His (former) manager, Bob Arum is in Manila. I was quite surprised to read the news. Maybe Arum is cooking something for Manny:

Quote
Arum Arrives in The Philippines To Meet With Manny Pacquiao

According to several reports in the Philippines, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has arrived to General Santos City for a face to face meeting with eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

Arum is going to talk with Pacquiao regarding his boxing future and obviously to promote his next fight.

https://www.boxingscene.com/arum-arrives-philippines-meet-with-manny-pacquiao--130772

Are you looking perhaps for another big money fight for Manny in the US then? Is Bob convinced that Manny has it and the still has the potential to bring people to watch him again in the US?
9860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid money on: August 11, 2018, 06:11:58 PM
Wow! This is such a great read. Borrowing money for an investment is usually not a good idea, should the investment flop, it leaves you in debt and subsequently worse off. ICO's also need to be more responsible, they need to include clauses like you've suggested so the potential investor is aware.

Of course, borrowing money is not a good idea, what it make it worst is that you invested on something that you don't have total control specially the risk factor. Now that the ICO turns out to be a scam, then your worst nightmare is realised. However, there's no one to blame for your failure but you. You didn't do your homework and probably just ride the hype and the next thing you know, the scammers disappears. That's why we always says that that you need to do your research and please don't used borrowed money. Its a expensive lessons to learn and its going to sting a bit.
