I sent this link (I'm away from home ATM) to my 2 almost teenage sons and they immediately requested that I break open their BTC that I have saved for them. They are stingy little bastards and asked about the "Custom Amount". I told them minimum $10 option.
"But Dadddd! That's nearly 0.1 BTC"
Meanwhile their younger sister is still hunting for a pink "I LOVE BITCOIN" T-shirt....
what a great Dad! what's the big deal about Humble Bumble anyways?

Nagle, why did the 2011 bubble reinflate?
Explain the endgame.

Silver way down, hope I can buy some at 19$
You should've been buying bitcoins at 50. I was 90% in BTC/LTC when it was at $3.5 / .005$ However I like to keep only 90% or so in crypto. So i have been profit taking here and there. now I have some silly fiat and want some cheap silver. Nothing wrong with diversification. Silver I think will do well in the next 40 to 50 years and I am willing to wait. Peace I'll be dead by then. Peace.

That was beautiful.
Many phrases I'll quote later since I'm on my android.

Wow. BTC down to $86. Harshest of tokes!
Gold looks like it's toying with $1500 again at least. Nice to be diversified.
Spoke too soon. Gold DOWN. Bitcoin up. Zerg?

Wow. I just checked this out. Looks like there isn't even a fee on the conversion rate compared with MtGox. That's huge. I'll have to play around with this some more to see how easy it is to use. It looks like there isn't an easy way to buy a gift card for yourself. Makes sense, I guess. But I guess you could buy a card, send it to someone else, and have them send it back? Pretty nice that it includes Amazon, Walmart and Target. I'm eager to see how difficult it is to use this app in the store. I hope these guys don't have AML problems. I can easily see them having issues though. First off, you can buy one for yourself. Just add yourself to the contacts list prior to ordering. Second, this is the breakthrough we've all been waiting for. It is huge. We essentially have the credit card conversion tool right on our androids now that allows us to buy just about anything in dollars. Hold appreciating bitcoin right up to the point you really need to buy something in depreciating dollars. Agree. Although the list of places you can buy gift cards from is actually much smaller than the list of companies that you can scan cards in from. It includes Amazon, but sadly there is a lack of places that I usually buy groceries from. There's Kmart and a bunch of restaurants, which is a pretty good start though. Hey, why cook when you can use Foodler?

I'll tell you what this actually is, it is of course politicians being as stupid as ever, but it is also that they'll be desperate to not officially acknowledge Bitcoin as a currency, if they do, then that means there will be all sorts of different rules involved with Bitcoin and they may even have to declare it as a currency entirely seperate from the state.
You can bet that the central banks won't be having that because it would be a direct threat to them.
But but if it's not official, how can it be official?

You know to any reasonable outside observer this actually looks really, really bad for govt. inc. If they harboured any doubts or inklings that maybe the gubmint was getting a little too over-bearing now they are they thinking ...
"WTF, the CFTC wants to regulate on-line gaming tokens?!" "Have they lost their minds and gone full retard police state on us?"
"What about MF Global and Bernie Madoff and the bank bailouts, who was regulating them?!"
LMAO. On-line gaming tokens. Full retard police state. Which government agency has responsibility for regulating options and calendar spreads on air guitars? Is it the cool long-haired regulator? Now now Jon, let's not get too testy here. Otoh, EVEN Michelle Carrera-Cabruso was dumbfounded by the long haired cool regulators assertions that he would regulate her savings account and that she should be glad he'd do it. She has been one of CNBC's greatest Babe-Apologists since the crisis of 2008. I'd call that a bitch slap.

Try reading his post from the opposite perspective.
They did in fact raise the price to god awful levels, came up with no bullshit terms prior to the second batch sale and then said they wouldn't be mining.
That's the optimistic view. Otoh, I still haven't received my batch two, so you could be right.

FYI, Trader Steve sells Bitcoin watches.
I bought the first one and have my ownership inscribed in the blockchain.

Literally every day that goes by your dollars are being debased. You should hold your bitcoins right up until you need to spend them and check the ticker right before you convert .

Bart Chilton has never regulated a thing in his life and now he chooses to regulate a "toy currency"?

with the new Gyft card announced today all you need to do is carry around the mobile Gyft app and Bitcoin Spinner on your Android.
keep your appreciating BTC in Spinner and when you need depreciating USD's to buy ANYTHING, just make the transfer into a Gyft card and make your payment while on the go.
Kashmir was one week too early.
