9881  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitMaximum.io - More privacy during Bitcoin exchange / Coin mixer on: June 25, 2019, 07:54:12 PM
Summarizing....

We thought of everything. Generating a guarantee letter requires location a private key from the wallet that creates the signature on the server of mixer. In case the mixer is compromised, its customers will be able to give out fake addresses and fake guarantee letters. We sign the addresses that we give to clients on computers that are not connected to the Internet, then we unload the signatures together with the wallets at our server. This ensures that addresses given to customers can in no way be compromised by a third party (intelligence agency or hackers), under the  term that the client will verify the signature.
Are you saying that when I go to your mixer and start mixing, you or one of your employees sign the Letter of Guarantee manually in the offline PC? 24 hours a day?
9882  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I got hacked by Electrum Official Wallet [0.10 BTC] on: June 25, 2019, 07:26:24 PM
Got hacked too. Is it still safe to use my Electrum account if I change the password?  Not sure exactly how the hack works and if they will still be able to access account.
Wait. If you got hacked, it was probably because:

A) you downloaded a fake Electrum from somewhere.
B) your PC is infected with a malware.

In any case, you SHOULD consider your PC and wallet compromised. Reinstall your whole OS, download Electrum ONLY from ELECTRUM.ORG and create a brand new wallet.

This vulnerability explained in this thread was fixed months ago, so probably it doesn’t have anything to do with your case.
9883  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: So many issues with the Electrum wallet on: June 25, 2019, 07:18:14 PM
You may want to verify your file signatures to make sure they are legit.

9885  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [project] api.loyce.club: crowdsourcing Bitcointalk data on: June 25, 2019, 06:57:56 PM
^ in that case, he will also need to log every merit transaction in the mysql database. It’s possible to make an API without an sql server.

Idk if Loyce knows mysql. But he already doesn’t know PHP, so that would just complicate his life. Cheesy

I’ll give a shot on making the API.

9886  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: fake accusers on: June 25, 2019, 04:52:35 PM
We have a banner at the top of our post due to one person's negative feedback:
I can't see that?

You don't have any active flag nor any negative trust from a DT user.
9887  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Raspberry Pi 4 on: June 25, 2019, 02:01:51 AM
I’d love one of those to play around with my projects.

Sadly they probably don’t ship to my country and all resellers here try to sell them for at least 3x their price. :/
9888  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Android Electrum Wallet transaction fee customization? on: June 24, 2019, 11:02:01 PM
The minimum fee for Android Electrum Wallet is about 25 s/b now, can I make it smaller?

If I can, how?
You can.

Try playing around with the fees settings (click the three dot at the top-right -> settings -> fees).
9889  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: PK question from Electrum to Trezor on: June 24, 2019, 08:06:22 PM
Thanks for getting back. I did transfer the funds to Trezor but was confused to still see the private key in Electrum. Did transferring the funds create a new private key in Trezor that contains the funds?
Trezor will generate its own addresses (and consequently private-keys). They will never leave your hardware device, so that's why they are WAY more secure.

You sent the coins from your Electrum address to your Trezor address (different addresses).
9890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WARNING to all DELL users. Security Flaw in Pre-Installed Dell Support Software. on: June 24, 2019, 07:36:36 PM
Yikes. My Dell XPS 15 came with this software. Thankfully I installed Ubuntu right after it arrived.

Crazy how there are so many vulnerabilies everywhere (VLC, DELL software, ...) that goes unnoticed. Anything can be vulnerable to attack vectors. Undecided
it's sad how we can't just say anymore that we are safe as long as we don't download random stuff over the internet.

9892  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can I retrieve my bitcoin funds from blockchain.com without password? on: June 23, 2019, 10:36:00 PM
All you did was import your Bitcoin address as "watch-only", which - like the name says - can only be used to watch/see the balance and transactions of that address.

The only way you can recover your coins is if you remember the password... OR if you saved your wallet backup seed (or wallet file in older versions of the Blockchain.info wallet). Did you?
9893  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet Problem on: June 23, 2019, 10:25:45 PM
Did you wrote down your wallet seed when creating your wallet?

How verify signature?

9894  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help with Electrum? on: June 23, 2019, 06:01:43 PM
Sorry for your lost, OP. :/

But if it's any consolation, I'm spamming his website with fake wallets so if other people fall for it, he at least can't find them in the list of thousands of seeds.
9895  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can I generate a brain wallet offline? on: June 23, 2019, 01:56:28 AM
Yes... You can do that with Bitaddress (check the 'Brain wallet' tab). Download its source code and run offline.

But note that this generally isn't the best idea. See this.

9897  Local / Brasil / Re: Bitcoin ultrapassa US$9.000 Próximo passo: To the moon? on: June 22, 2019, 02:39:45 PM

9898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN TRANSACTION FEES ? on: June 22, 2019, 12:48:28 PM
There are no minimum or maximum. Bitcoin pumped another 10% in just 24 hours. This makes a lot of people make transactions in order to sell their BTC or send their bought ones to a wallet. A lot of tx in a small space of time fills the Bitcoin mempool, making the average fee to increase. What does that mean is that fees are dynamic. One day it could be at 1 cent, and then the mempool fills up and you need a $3 fee to get a confirmation in the next block.

I recommend that you always check the recommended fee on:

https://coinb.in/#fees
https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

And maybe even wait to send your tx or send it with a smaller fee (which will take time to confirm) if you’re not in a hurry.
9899  Other / Meta / Re: [BRAINSTORM] Any requests for custom extensions/user scripts for BitcoinTalk? on: June 22, 2019, 12:24:09 PM
Hope it fits the needs.  Smiley
Is this something I run on the server?
(complete n00b here)
Call this file anything-you-want.php and just upload it in the same folder as the merit.all.txt file.

But if you don’t want, I could try making my own as well. I thought I had to scrape each user merit page or similar.

Edit:@Loyce how do you get the name of the users and posts?
9900  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: few questions on: June 22, 2019, 04:09:25 AM
{bear in mind that im not usa citizen, so please base your answers on that, i am european citizen.}

1. will i be able to download coins from 2 separate wallets with ledger nano x, and keep them there or it's 1 wallet 1 ledger?
The Ledger Nano X has waaaay more storage than the Nano S. You will be able to download every coin you want and use all of them in the same Nano X. Just open the right wallet and select the coin in your Nano X screen.

2.are there any sites where i send xlm, and they send fiat currency to a credit card? i remember there was 1 site that did that few months ago, it didn't support my country, but i assume if there was 1,there are more? for instance id like to send 1k dollars to someone in africa, i send to that website 1k worth of stellar, and they send fiat to designated credit card of my recipient?
I’m not aware of any XLM prepaid debit card (which I assume that this is what you're asking for). IIRC, there was a company called Pundi X, but I don't know how they are now.

3. is trust wallet good choice for keeping erc20 and bep2 tokens?  their GUI is somewhat clanky for me, i dont like it too much, thats why im asking if there is a wallet with same functionality but with smoother GUI.
Try MyEtherWallet. They support ERC20 tokens and let you connect your Nano X. Soon, the Ledger Manager will be able to do that as well.

4.Im currently using CEX to buy and sell my crypto with fiat currency via credit cards, any cheaper or better alternatives?
Credit Cards are always the MOST EXPENSIVE way of buying crypto (due to the huge card fees). Have you thought about using an exchange to deposit fiat through Wire or something like this and buy it from there? (E.g Bitfinex or Kraken).

Unfortunately none of those exchanges work on my country (only local specific ones), so I can’t help you with that. But there are many exchanges around there. You just have to research about them.
