So how many articles did you post, and did you give a source for them?  If you don't cite your sources, that's plagiarism.

Members like this just have literally no idea what they're writing.  They just throw the words/phrases 'profit', 'knowledge', 'campaign', 'trading', 'make a quality post', 'invest', 'increasing day by day', and for each shitty thread that asks a question which has been asked a million times in a million other threads, they go through the permutations and BLAM, another god-awful shitpost is created--and they get paid for it!

This is the laziest way to make money, and this is all done to the detriment of the forum.  Good posts have a 20-shitpost-thick layer of sandwiching on each side, and it's very hard to find those good posts.  And to top it off, each person who makes a post using those words/phrases probably has several dozen alt accounts all doing the same thing.  One would think that if a campaign is going to pay you money sufficient for you to live like a pimp (which is the case for campaigners who live in 3rd world countries) you'd put way more effort into actually writing something worth reading.  But nope, they're either too lazy or too ignorant to do so.  I suspect in most cases, it's a healthy dose of both.

It amazes me that people get banned before they even figure out how the forum works.  This guy, for example, hasn't a clue that the members he's pleading to don't have a say in whether an account is restored.  

Second, my best guess is that OP copy/pasted something since all his posts are nuked, and if that's the case he's outta here, in which case
is impossible, since he's finished trying to be any kind of member.  He's permabanned.  But I'm curious to see what mods have to say.

So tbct_mt2, your post says nothing about how to get merits, and I would add that posts like the ones I've quoted will never, ever get them, nor would many of yours.  People really should take note of what I'm saying here so that they won't be stumbling around the forum, perplexed, wondering why they're doing all of this great posting but aren't getting merits.  If you use a cookie-cutter approach like the above two jokers did, you'll never have a clue. 

Do I think leaving Satoshi, or even Theymos, a bunch of merit is a waste?  Yes.  I also think people leaving me merits is a waste, too, since I don't need them for ranking up.  However, I would also argue that it's damn slim pickings around here as far as valid choices for recipients.  That may be somewhat of an exaggeration, as I know about two dozen members who I'd gladly give up all my merits to, but some people may not like the same posts I like, and they may well be sick of all the garbage posts.  

They may be expressing gratitude for bitcoin and/or bitcointalk when they leave merits for Satoshi or Theymos--and that's their choice.  I wouldn't want to censor someone's opinion like that, especially when there's nothing wrong being done.  If people want to leave merits for posts that were made years ago, that's their prerogative.

That's definitely true, but I always have the view that merits are a valuable component of people's accounts when they're trying to rank up, and I'm finding it very hard to separate that from the "thumbs up" function.

These are typical words written by people who just parrot what they read on bitcointalk, and it's why most posts sound alike--poorly written and vapid.  It also would not surprise me if you had alt accounts.  You're going to really need to learn some new words and express thoughts that are much different than this if you want to earn merits. 

If you're making a widget that is no different than a million other widgets on the market, you don't stand much of a chance to make money.  That's the best analogy I can give you for the situation you're facing.

The media are a bunch of sloppy idiots--I read that he died on the way to a rehab and then that he died while AT rehab.  There's a big difference in what people can infer from each scenario without knowing anything else.  I suspect that he died before he actually got to treatment, which in my mind means he probably died of an overdose.  People going into rehab very often go on a drug/alcohol bender, since they always think it's the last time they're ever going to use substances.

But I'd need a follow up article on him to know for sure, and I'm sure the media won't do us the courtesy of writing one.

I don't know what you're going for with this thread, but that feedback isn't going to be removed.  Maybe if you'd spent some time browsing the forum you would have noticed that when multiple participants in a campaign use the same address, it's a huge red flag.  But I'm sure you've done zero reading and never discovered that--until you got tagged.

Mm.  You need to be able to take the consequences of your actions--that'll help you grow as well.  The consequence of plagiarizing on bitcointalk is a permaban, which means you cannot create another account to post here other than for your ban appeal.  

You had to have known full-well that what you were doing was stealing.  Suck it up and move on.  I'm not a moderator, but I've been here long enough to know that your chances of getting your account reinstated after copy/pasting are infinitesimal.  No doubt a mod will stop by to tell you something similar, but it may take a while.

OK, I tagged all of these accounts.  I'm still feeling a bit taken by KeithBeeCham, (yeah, Lauda, I'm still a bit naive but am working on leveling up the cynicism) but I'm not completely surprised, as I've learned that things on bitcointalk are rarely what they seem.
