MtGox is not good.
9963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scrypt.cc Anyone use it? on: February 16, 2014, 11:29:54 PM
Yes...I use it.
It's a legit site.
It's a decent return rate.
Price of KHS is kind of steep, but you don't deal with the hassle and electricity cost.
They've only been opened less than 2 weeks I think.

Check my sig. Cheers.

so there is no any proof that they are legit Smiley

If no one yet earn any BTC

9965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Friend Needs Help -- Can't Post on: February 16, 2014, 11:26:27 PM
I have a friend who joined the forums awhile ago but has not been super active. He recently tried to post but the forum is telling him that he must wait like 360 seconds because he just posted. This happens despite the fact that he has not actually posted anything in weeks. Anyone know what might be wrong or how he might fix it? Maybe an admin needs to fix something? His username is BadEmt.

Loggin in counts as "posting".  After logging in, he should wait 6 minutes before trying to post anything.  That 6 minutes would be well spent reading the NEWBIE README if he hasn't yet.

Yep - that's true. Smiley He must + active Tongue soon he will get 1 min limit. No worries.
9966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Site coiming soon ... on: February 16, 2014, 11:25:08 PM
Hi ,
we are just finishing are brand New Alt Coin site , and looking for any final ideas before launch .  we are a uk based team putting together an all in one site for all your crypto needs.

~ Noob guides , links to all the software needed to get you up and running .
~ latest coin news and updates
~ rent a rig section ( place your rigs to rent for a set price or auction )
~latest exchange rates
~ a place for pool operates to advertise there pools .

Online shop

As a uk based customer myself the hardest thing I found was a shop that stocked the items that I needed and delivered on time so we currently looking at specific items that we can stock so that lead time and delays are virtually zero .

# Riser cables
# aluminium frames ( can be built to spec but will try and stock a set range )
# complete GPU mining systems

please feel free to add an items or content that you would like to see

9973  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to share access to my wallet? on: February 16, 2014, 10:57:08 PM
Hello, I have a business partner. How can i provide one with the access to the bitcoin wallet installed on my computer?

IMHO, you should use blockchain.info (share the account and password) or Electurm (use the same seed) in this case...

Blockchain wastest way and access from multiplatform

you just need an access to Internet Smiley

9974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: February 16, 2014, 10:55:19 PM

Hey,

I cam across this site Scrypt.cc http://scrypt.cc?ref=baamw and wondered iof any one has used it?

What was your experience?

It seems to be like a CEX.IO for scrypt.

Curious to hear any feedback before I dive in and start using them.

Cheers

never heard about it ...

Smiley

be careful when using things like that Smiley

9976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FLAP] FlappyCoin - KGW is implemented - 0 PREMINED - COPYRIGHTED on: February 16, 2014, 10:23:13 PM
At the risk of repeating myself......

At current difficulty of Flappy
(now 15.88 and Net Hash over 1.0GH/S - more than doubled since this morning!)......

1MH/s per day makes around 63,500 Flappy

1MH/s per day earns you around 0.013BTC on middlecoin.com

TRUE VALUE OF FLAPPY: 100k = 0.0204BTC / over 20 Satoshi each!

Why, oh why are people dumping them for 3 Satoshi each on AllCoin?Huh?
I'm not complaining, hell, I'm buying what I can afford - but seriously - why?
It's like having $100 and throwing $85 away!!

People mine and dump even @ the bottom of the barrel for I am sure ZERO profit, considering time missed mining another coin and electricity.  Obviously people in the world of altcoins do not understand supply and demand.  Dumping for a quick buck that probably does not even cover the code of your mining time.

Do the calculations people BEFORE dumping/giving away your coins.

yep... Smiley most of altcoins dont know how to do a good coin.
Smiley

Hope Flappy devs will do some good upgrades and will think better about its future
9977  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you do if you have A LOT of bitcoin? on: February 16, 2014, 10:17:50 PM

Hello, I have a business partner. How can i provide one with the access to the bitcoin wallet installed on my computer?

I gave him my wallet.dat file but nothing seems to happen.

Please explain.

Thanks

I guess best options are to have 2 different wallets @ bitcoin-qt

or 1 @ blockchain

9979  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What determines the price of Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2014, 10:14:41 PM
Elasticity of Demand - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_elasticity_of_demand

Fair Market Value - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_market_value

and some elements of Good Will - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodwill_(accounting)

Fundamentally the markets and the end users of Bitcoin affect the value.  What makes it different to most cryptos is that it has real world applications.  We can actually spend it with stores, retailers and services that currently accept Bitcoin.

https://spendbitcoins.co.uk/places/ [The world's largest directory of bitcoin accepting businesses, with ratings and reviews]

Shopify which is a very popular online shopping cart for e-commerce sites has now also enabled any of their merchants to accept bitcoin http://www.shopify.co.uk/blog/10446157-shopify-merchants-can-now-accept-bitcoin#axzz2tWaFkwKZ

The IRS are now also allowing people to pay their taxes with Bitcoin http://www.forbes.com/sites/benkepes/2014/01/15/bitcoin-breaks-out-you-can-now-pay-the-irs-in-cryptocurrency/

uh Smiley a lot of reading but there is an answer to OP question for sure Smiley

Enjoy reading Wink
