I think members of DT do not forget this post  Roll Eyes
I see from a connected account has not received a negative trust
I feel like I'm being set up for a twenty-fingered slap in the face.

Why, may I ask, haven't you yourself tagged these people?  I would advise doing so if your conviction is strong--true, the feedback will not carry weight, but I think it's appropriate for you to do this.  I'll take a look at the list later tonight or tomorrow.

The pervading sense of paranoia here is getting stronger by the minute.

^^ Why?  Grin
Oh, you know why.  Even my frigging' alts are paranoid <joke>.
9962  Economy / Speculation / Re: Brian Kelly Predicts Bitcoin Price Will Increase $25,000 by the Year End on: April 19, 2018, 10:42:22 PM
Don't be so negative bro. chill out.
You are mistaking skepticism for negativity, and there's a huge difference.  I agree with him, because I recall a time, almost 20 years ago, when a stock analyst was predicting Amazon stock would hit $400.  I forget what it was trading for at the time, but it was significantly lower than that.

It was madness (though IIRC Amazon did hit that target after the prediction, and didn't have the earnings to justify it), and people were predicting the Dow would hit 36,000 (in 1999).  So anyone can make wild predictions.  That doesn't mean there's any substance there.

It's even harder to guage what crypto is going to do, because you can't analyze any business underneath it like you can with stocks.  You're basically trying to predict what people's sentiment toward bitcoin is going to be x years from now, and I say that's impossible to do.  Something better might come along; new regulations may make it more or less attractive; and any number of things might happen to affect the price.  There's no telling.
9963  Economy / Speculation / Re: This massive price increase in seconds shows us something on: April 19, 2018, 10:09:44 PM
The price of penny stocks are mostly relativly stable outside of times of huge spikes in price, following by huge drops.
I would disagree with this to an extent--look at where we're stalled at.  We're relatively stable at $7800-$8200, and in 2015(?) we were stable at $420 for months, and yes we've been volatile in between.  I'm not saying penny stocks are similar to bitcoin in any other aspect, but the price volatility and even the characteristic of temporary stability in between spikes are traits they both share to some extent.

I hate penny stocks, by the way.  Someone very close to me got burned on one that has an actual company behind it that he believed in.  Lost a small fortune.
9964  Economy / Economics / Re: Golden Rule Radio: Geopolitical Pressures Push Metals Higher on: April 19, 2018, 05:28:47 PM
OP, with all due respect, it's stuff like this I've been hearing ever since precious metals came on my radar in 2011.  Gold & silver are always getting ready to explode--IF ONLY another war is started; IF ONLY stocks crash; IF ONLY [insert variable here].  And yet metals have been flatlined ever since then, which is 7 years now.

I've said this in other threads:  If you're looking to park your money somewhere and want to protect it against inflation, metals might be an option, but if you're looking for an investment that's going to make you some money, look elsewhere.  Metals are dead, dead, dead.  I understand that the best time to buy something is when it's been beaten down to the point where it's a bargain, but I don't think there's going to be any great interest in metals for quite a while.  Stocks and crypto are going to be the hottest investments for some time to come--and remember, this is a forum about bitcoin.  You won't get too many people arguing against bitcoin being the better option here.

The other reason to buy metals is if you actually like coins.  I do own a couple of gold coins that I like, and I have a number of silver coins that I don't plan on letting go of.  Those aren't considered investments, however.  Not in my book.
9965  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need DT, 20 accounts connected (2 Legendary, 6 Hero, 7 St + some) on: April 19, 2018, 05:14:23 PM
Thank you so much for being open to change your mind. Sorry if I spammed you, I was just very upset how the hacker fucked me over double and I can't stand it when I'm telling the truth and someone doesn't believe me.
Just stop the blabbering.  I'm not trying to give negs to people who don't deserve it, and frankly your English is much better than the average shitposter, so I wouldn't be chagrined if I had to remove my neg on you.  However, your story about how you reclaimed your account is fishy at best, the claim of "I got hacked" is hackneyed, your inability to sign a message is suspicious, and I'm still waiting for what LoyceV has to say and whether you sent that PM regarding your account.

You got blocked from PMs because it was clear you'd keep spamming my inbox if I didn't.  And I'd much rather have people defend themselves out in the open than by PM.

I don't often say this, but I think Msile shouldn't be red.
I fully respect both your opinion and what you did here for Msile, so the feedback will be removed.  I apologize to Msile for the inconvenience.
9966  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q2) on: April 19, 2018, 05:09:16 PM
Now those innocents were getting tagged because of him. He is the one who deserved to get tagged.
I agree with the second part of what you wrote here--he deserves to get tagged, and I've just done so.

The first part is idiotic, and it's nothing less than what I'd expect from a person like you.  Just because KeithBeeCham turned out to be an account farmer and giveaway cheater, that doesn't mean his reports were invalid by any means.  In other words, the situation that emerged with him doesn't make you all innocent.  You sound young and logic-challenged.
9967  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need DT, 20 accounts connected (2 Legendary, 6 Hero, 7 St + some) on: April 19, 2018, 03:55:08 PM
I made a new account and messaged Msile (this account) literally this
I assume you only used the new account to send that PM. Can you give me access to that temporary account, to verify the PM was really sent on March 8?

I'm not trying to steal your Newbie account, I'm trying to help you here. As much as I love catching cheaters, if you're really innocent you shouldn't be tagged red. If you take this offer, don't use a password on that account that you use anywhere else.

Note that it will still be up to The Pharmacist to remove your red trust (or not).
I'd be interested to see what the result of this is.
9968  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need DT, 20 accounts connected (2 Legendary, 6 Hero, 7 St + some) on: April 19, 2018, 09:17:08 AM
Funny how user "Winner" just sent me 20 merits out of the blue for one of my earliest posts from 2015.  He's in this farming ring.  Don't know what to make of it.
9969  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaigns need more merit? on: April 19, 2018, 01:23:54 AM
Yes i think need more merit because if you have more merit you earn more stakes or tokens for signatures campaign..so i will work hard  here in bitcointalk to get merit...
Yeah, how's that working out for you?

You're a total shitposter, as evidence by the repetitive, zero-thought post above.  If you think anyone is going to give you merit for that shit, you need to dunk your face in some ice water and wake up.  Not gonna happen.

At bitcointalk is learning a lot of things, just learning English while learning the web. I like it
Really?  You have to practice it here?  Guaranteed if you weren't getting paid to be here, you'd have no interest in either learning English or in crypto.  Also, your post has nothing to do with this thread.
9970  Other / Meta / Re: How hard it is to Rank up? on: April 19, 2018, 01:19:52 AM
It seems really but if you can be tactical then its easy
It seems really but if you can be tactical then its easy
You are a dumbass.
9971  Other / Meta / Re: "Great project. Good luck" posters, what to do with them? on: April 19, 2018, 01:03:44 AM
This is the reason why I've put the altcoin/bounty sections on ignore, but I've visited there to report some of these kinds of posts, and it's ridiculous how many of them there are.  Mods can ban the accounts one by one if they're reported, but there's nothing stopping the spammers from creating an unlimited number of them.  So how can we stop that, short of requiring a fee for registration?  I don't see an easy answer to that.

A lot of people who come to this forum likely don't have Bitcoin though and are looking to learn more about it. These are the people who I don't want to be restricted.
I do agree with that.  It's a tough problem, where it seems that every possible solution sucks.
9972  Economy / Economics / Re: technical or fundamental ? on: April 19, 2018, 12:57:29 AM
BTCbitcoin prices moving due to  technical analysis or fundamental analysis???!!!!!BTC

The analysis analyzes movements, it doesn't cause movements. Anyway, technical analysis is a pseudo-science, similar to astrology, where predictions are made according to methods but the methods are not based on facts or evidence.
Glad you called that one, because I suspect people like OP just read words and don't understand what they mean--at all

My question is, how do you even begin to perform fundamental analysis on any cryptocurrency?  I've pointed this out before:  Crypto isn't like a stock, in that there are no earnings, no dividend, and no business at all behind a coin like there is with a stock.  Therefore it's pretty much guesswork as to whether bitcoin or any coin is going to go up or down.  In other words, what exactly are the "fundamentals"?  They can't be the same things analysts use to analyze stocks.

Second, I think technical analysis is a bunch of bullshit.  The list of the wealthiest individuals in the world does not include any technical analysts--that's evidence to support my claim.  Watching charts does nothing, since price movements are mostly random.
9973  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q2) on: April 18, 2018, 10:57:11 PM
<snip>
Un-fucking-believable.  Makes me wonder if there are any genuine, honest people on this forum.  I do thank KeithBeeCham for reporting all the accounts that he did, but now I'm questioning whether all of that was a scheme to eliminate his competition or something.  We'll see what he has to say about this.

This is what fosters this sense of paranoia that I get on bitcointalk.  There's a good reason for it, apparently.  Props to marlboroza for connecting the dots here.
9974  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Suspected scam on: April 18, 2018, 09:41:50 PM
Look at that guy's trust--the same phrase "Very good businessman!" by two different users (on the same date and with no reference thread, no less), Noojna & VonSpass, who are most likely alt accounts.  I wouldn't trust this guy to take care of a dead cat.

Also, I'd suggest that if you think he's scamming, leave him a negative trust and don't just rely on DT members to do it.
9975  Other / Meta / Re: [April fools] New new rank requirements on: April 18, 2018, 09:07:15 PM
Reminds me of a little recent personal situation that sometimes we can run into issues, when we skim, and we do not read carefully.
I'm thinking the same thing--people here don't read anything, but it's not just a matter of skimming and not reading thoroughly (which I'm guilty of ever since I got a smartphone).  People don't read on bitcointalk, because they're not paid to do so and most of them don't have a genuine interest in bitcoin anyway.

This guy's attention was obviously piqued by the mention of merit, which I'm sure he's well aware of, as it's the only thing standing in his way of ranking up and thereby earning more from whatever bounty he's going to participate in.  I would bet money on the fact that he wouldn't normally care about what's posted in Meta, which is a section that was usually devoid of spammers before merits were introduced.
9976  Other / Meta / Re: @Admins: Merit not working as configured, trolls just don't care (no surprise) on: April 18, 2018, 08:40:15 PM
The place will be a desert.

Why stay here when you can find info on cryptos on social networks and so many other places ?
I fully agree with the first part here--bitcointalk would indeed dry up.

The second part I vehemently disagree with.  We need people like Jet Cash much more than the bounty participants.  Desperately.  Can you imagine if bitcointalk turned into simply an advertising machine?  It would cease to exist as a forum for discussion, and all we'd have left would be the shitposters.  I don't want that, and I don't think anyone else does either.  Not even Theymos.  If this forum stops being a place where intelligent discourse happens, it becomes useless.

Jet Cash is a good guy, too.  Don't drive him to a intellectual ghetto like reddit, where intelligent chat goes to die.  No offense to the fine folk at bitcointalk who happen to frequent there.   Wink
9977  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q2) on: April 18, 2018, 08:28:16 PM
We can give a photo of ID's and also you can check our personalities in our social media accounts we can easily show it to you if you just let us. Regarding of being a shitposter I admit that my english is too bad as you can read. But can't you see that Im willing to learn and read just to avoid shit posting and most of my posts always on our own language.
I don't use social media myself, so there's no way I could check out that story even if I wanted to.  More importantly, there's no proof that you people are all separately using these different accounts on bitcointalk.  The sharing of addresses is good evidence that you're not.  Since you're all garbage shitposters, yes I'm biased toward not believing your story.  The feedback won't be removed.
9978  Other / Meta / Re: @Admins: Merit not working as configured, trolls just don't care (no surprise) on: April 18, 2018, 08:02:36 PM
Carlton Banks's suggestion sounds like something an academic economist would suggest--or something overly complicated that Theymos would have thought of.  Either way, I'm in favor of the wait-and-see approach to the merit solution, and part of that is because I don't think Theymos needs to be charging people to use the forum, even if it's a super-small fee.  I don't think people would leave in droves, but an idea like that amounts to gouging people, and I'm against that.

It's not quite been three whole months yet.  I've run out of sMerit, and I'm sure a lot of others have, too, so shitposters have less chance now than they ever did of ranking up--and I can see very clearly that people are having a hard time doing so in general, so the spammers aren't going to advance.  That's a victory in itself, and I'll take it.  Gladly.
9979  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q2) on: April 18, 2018, 07:39:03 PM
You didn't even check our social media accounts if we are thesame person we can provide many proofs that we are not alts.. We can show our personalities in public if necessary just to prove that you are wrong. This is so bullshit I think you are so happy now ruining innocent people's life. Now you're the greatest attention seeker in this forum so congrats on your stupidity.
How exactly can you prove that these bitcointalk accounts that were entered into bounties here had different humans behind them?

You guys are a bunch of shitposters anyway, and your cries of "we're friends!" falls upon deaf ears here.  Believe me, if it was within my power to nuke these stupid altcoin bounties, I would.  You all should take this as a lesson at least not to get caught using the same addresses.  What kind of person does that, anyway?  Do you all share the same bank account and skidmarked boxer shorts?
9980  Economy / Economics / Re: Whose problems does Bitcoin solve? on: April 18, 2018, 03:48:49 AM
Definitely one of the best remedy of the peoples financial problems is bitcoin. There is a fact that because of bitcoin and cryptosystem we are now having our freedom in regards to our financial aspects. Even though there is a possible risk that we may encounter we just go for it because the assurance and the big chances and opportunity are there. Bitcoin is the key to reach our success in life.
This is a generic, rah-rah bitcoin type of shitpost that gets written in a million different forms in hundreds of threads in Bitcoin Discussion DAILY.

The question is about the problems that bitcoin solves, and the last two posts didn't even come close to answering them.

I've always asked myself why anyone would want to spend bitcoin over fiat, and I still have not found a satisfactory answer to that.  Right now bitcoin is a pain in the ass to buy, there's network fees that can be stifling, there's confirmation times, and there's the possibility of getting scammed.  I would much rather hold bitcoin and spend the money that's in my checking account.  At least what's in the bank isn't going to skyrocket like bitcoin might.  It's rare that people even try to argue those points here.
