9961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Short term investing Bearish/Bullish on: July 20, 2018, 02:15:47 PM
Hello again.

This time i would like to ask you guys of your opinion and experience in what kind of market is better for short term investing - Bullish or bearish?
And please post why your opinion is like that.

Thanks

Again, if you are really into short term investing, no matter what the sentiments of the market, you will know how to make money so you will have to make the necessary adjustments. You will hear people loves bearish trend to short, because they will always buy in dips and just wait for the price to increase in 3 days and then sold off. With bullish trends seems to be good for a HODL. So its really up to you and adapt the current conditions.
9962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny wins over Matthysse!! on: July 20, 2018, 01:32:17 PM
What an impressive performance by 39 years old Manny he was going according to plan all rounds very nice this man is a animal and true warrior thats champion mentality really glad that he got his ko after a long time and i think that if he retire tomorow for sure will be remember as one of the greatest pound for pound boxers of all time
I'll quote what Matthysse said.

"My head is raised, I lost to a living legend."

Matthysse: ‘I lost to a great legend’

This only proves that even Pacquiao's opponent is looking up to him and respected him before, during and after the fight.

It's better to stop on talking about his age, Pacquiao's still doing good.

Of course his opponent will respect him because the didn't trash talk and you can't hear Manny making (personal) attacks. For him its his fist that will do the talking that's why many boxing fans loves him and his opponents earn his respect. We have heard fighters making nasty comments about his fighting style, but he remains quiet. Also trash talking is also good to bring people to watch the fight but sometimes its better to let your emotions be in the ring. And if you trash talk and can't back it up, I'm sure that the media will have a feast on you.
9963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing News: Crawford beats Loma for ESPY fighter of the year (2018) on: July 19, 2018, 07:10:41 PM
Crawford has had a great year true, but I think Lomachenko deserves the recognition for going up weight classes to fight, and then beat Linares with a liver shot. I mean, how many people really get KO'd by a liver shot? That just shows he's got precision and power too, not just "hi-tech" foot work.

But the thing with that win is that he was KD early as opposed to Crawford, dominating all his fights in 2018. I guess those who voted against him can make this excuse. If I can remember correctly, he also moved up in weight to challenge horn for the 147 lbs. So he also going up weight classes to challenge the champions plus he is undefeated.
9964  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rise of bitcoin continues on: July 19, 2018, 06:43:59 PM
For some weeks now I don't hear people say bitcoin is dead any longer. I don't understand why this has stopped all of a sudden. Where are those who announced the death of our mother coin? Don't you think it is time for these same people to  announce the resurrection of bitcoin  Smiley. That is the power of bitcoin, it always keeps it doubter's mute.

They are just around the forum and waiting for the perfect opportunity to blast bitcoin again, once we see another steep decline. That's how paid shill works, most of the time they hibernate and will go out of their cave once that opportunity arise to attack bitcoin. So I hope that you do learn your lessons from them, bitcoin will not die just because the price or the market is struggling, is a process, it will go up and then later will go down because it can't go parabolic forever. Those doubters are eating their words now and are all hiding. Lol.
9965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing News: Crawford beats Loma for ESPY fighter of the year (2018) on: July 19, 2018, 06:23:34 PM
The guy deserves to win the award this year. He has good notable wins specially against Jeff Horn and he is truly the next cash cow now. And top #3 P2P, #1 GGG, #2 Loma. Although Loma has a good year as well, but his fight with Linares was not as expected of him. Yes, he won the fight, but he was KD by Linares and it was a close fight.

Side note: Crawford and Loma are both with Bob Arum. Might be possible that they can have their chance to fight Manny Pacquiao.
9966  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: July 19, 2018, 05:58:01 PM
<snip>

As you see, banks would rather adopt than being extinct. Its like those businesses who innovates when society changes. If cryptocurrency overpower the economy, they should go with the flow to survive

I doubt that banks will simply go away, and I'm sure they will learn to adopt and I also don't agree that crypto will make banks obsolete. And one evident that they are evolving and innovating is with Blockchain. We all heard that a lot of banks have been exploring Blockchain and how it can be adapted to help them streamlined their business process.
9967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 19, 2018, 05:21:27 PM

I guess that is the more reason why Pacquiao would not fight Jeff Horn. If Pacquiao said that he only wants to fight 2-3 boxers, I would not include Jeff horn anymore since if I will be Pacquiao and I will be choosing having a rematch? that will be Mayweather. There is no reason to fight Jeff Horn no more, he just calling out Pacquiao since he's career is starting to crumble.

I really don't think that Mayweather would come back for a rematch with Pacquiao. There is not benefit to doing so, it doesn't improve his legacy, the pay-day probably won't be as big as with McGregor, and he certainly doesn't need the money. I think Mayweather will stay retired unless there is a Mayweather/McGregor rematch (unlikely).

I disagree. The rematch could even surpassed their previous records and if the money is on the table, I sure that Mayweather will come out of his retirement and get the final paycheck worth hundreds of millions of dollars, that is if he decided to. As for Jeff Horn, he should go back to Australia now, he can't have a decent career in the US will a lot of 140lbs - 147 lbs that can easily beat him. He is obviously calling Manny to get another exposure and good paycheck.
9968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 19, 2018, 04:48:33 PM
BREAKING NEWS!

The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to trade Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to the Toronto Raptors for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.

Toronto's first-round pick to San Antonio is a protected 1-20 selection. After one year, it becomes two second-round picks.

A trade call with the teams and the NBA league office is scheduled to begin shortly.

Very interesting trade! I doubt anyone could predict this.

Kawhi Leonard was considered one of the top 5 players in the NBA not too long ago, this is shocking to say the least.  Poppovich always knows what to do so I trust his opinion.

It was not a surprised that Leonard was traded, But was surprises me is the team he will be going to. I think Toronto did a good move here as Leonard is more valuable than DeRozan in my opinion. DeRozan choked during their series against Cleveland. So another drama has ended. I guess San Antonio has started to rebuild the team again with the departure of Parker and Leonard.
9969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 17, 2018, 11:46:50 PM
Really love to see  lots of discussions about the NBA specially its past history and you really know that there are a lot of super fans out there. I agree that we shouldn't really overlook the East because they already proved that they can still bang with the super teams in the West. Yeah, they should focus on defense to offset the firepower of the West and there will be no drama, straight up game with good defense. And we all know that a good defensive team always win at close games.
9970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: July 17, 2018, 11:14:41 PM
I don’t know what is meant by success in gambling even i lost my amount in crypto and i would say crypto is also gambling or more than gambling.. i will never recover i think what i have done to me
Success in gambling that's the word and you can understand it. But to explain it more, it means that you are getting a lot of luck and you win all the time in gambling.
You live with a good life through gambling, you make money with gambling so this what success in gambling means. Crypto is also a gamble yes but this was totally different from gambling your money to a casino than holding or trading it which you can still have something left.

Easy money, that's what they say on gambling. One day you became a millionaire and the next day you lost everything. There might be a few who manage to get the most of their winnings, but we all know that majority of us, once we taste that big winnings, will come back for more and that is the biggest mistakes. We should let it sit and enjoy our winnings because it doesn't come very often but if became greedy, thing will become ugly for you.
9971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you feel the rise of BTC anytime soon? on: July 17, 2018, 10:51:28 PM
Just today I saw the price rise approximately over 500.dollars and I wouldn't be surprised if prices continue to rise as we are fond of panic buying when there is a bull run, Now that the rise we have been waiting for is here buckle up and enjoy the ride Wink

We will gonna see it in the next coming days. If the market continues to climb then FOMO is real again. hahahaha. Everyone doesn't want to miss the boat, so they are jumping in ensuring a continued panic buying and growth. The question is when this FOMO will end? As to what price we are going to see bitcoin try to achieved with this bull run. Anyways, we really need to buckle up and hope the ride will be long enough to see the price goes to 5 digits again.
9972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 15, 2018, 07:06:48 AM
I do not need to badmouth or insult Pacquiao, but I think it can be better for him to concentrate on his profession in politics. he is already 40 years vintage and i am afraid that the fight towards Matthysse may be one-sided.

Dude this fight also can help Pacquiao get more attention on his country philippines and he's get money from the fight though. He can use the money to fund his politics movement and also to the people on philippines. If Pacquiao win, philippines people will happy for sure.
Well, age is just a number and Pacquiao proves it again. Matthysse maybe young but the power is still with pacman, so congrats to all who bet with pacman, you really have a good choice, for sure this is not the last fight of Pacquiao Smiley
That's the real thing its like a veteran vs a intermediate challenger. This makes another history in fights of manny pacquiao and if there's another fight of pacquiao its great to have a veteran like him. I want to saw a fight like his young days with dela hoya and marquez.
Marquez might be an interesting fight once again, as we knew how this two fighters played inside the ring, they bought played with heart and fashions and if ever that this can be possible again, maybe it's a good timing for both of them to quit, win or lose the game will be remembered by boxing fans all over the world, we knew that there's no need for them to proved anything but to give appreciations to their fans and leave the sports with graceful joy.

Nah, I don't think that Marquez will come out of his retirement and fight Pacquiao again. He will cherished that KO for years and that his bragging rights against Manny. Really like to see Crawford next, Loma is already good but it should be on a catchweight. Could be passing of the torch if Crawford vs Manny would be next in line.
9973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: July 15, 2018, 04:04:57 AM
Manny Pacquiao KO Mattysse in 7th round.

Edit:

Quote
Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur - Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) displayed shades of his former self with a seventh round knockout of Lucas Matthysse (39-5, 36 KOs) to capture the WBA "regular" welterweight title.

For Pacquiao, this was his first bout since July 2017, when he lost a controversial twelve round unanimous decision to Jeff Horn at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.

This was Pacquiao's first stoppage win since 2009, when he put away Miguel Cotto in the twelfth round.

https://www.boxingscene.com/pacquiao-knocks-matthysse-out-seventh-wba-belt--129976

Well he did promise that we will try to KO Lucas if the opportunity persists so he delivered. So Manny definitely still has it although one can argue that he one is facing is already fading. Good paycheck though for Lucas.  Grin
9974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 15, 2018, 03:55:36 AM
Tomorrow we will be seeing totally different match than today's. Đoković is big favourite but we can't underestimate Anderson who defeated 1st favourite of this tournament, Roger Federer.

Anyway, I am looking forward to that match!

So welcome back Novak Djokovic on the Wimbledon finals again. He really outlasted Rafa Nadal this time and we can all say that he has redeemed himself already. And I read that its a 5 hour marathon match. We all know that a simply slip on your focus during that match will spell doom for you, at least he didn't mentally broke down and prove to everyone that he can reclaim his glory. So for sure he will be the favorite to win and raise the trophy again.
9975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your favorite game? on: July 15, 2018, 03:28:27 AM
Dice is the easiest game we can play along my knowledge, and I love to play it too. Sportsbetting is another kind of gambling that I like even though I do not do it with good amounts of money. I like to watch soccer games and make small bet on few of those games just to try my luck.
Sports betting is where I'm addicted before when my friends introduced me to it until I've learned how to play dice game, it's fast and easy. You can win fast money but you can also lose very quick.
What's good about dice is you can bet with the minimum like 1 satoshi.

I am new to sports betting but I am enjoying it so far. Dice games are fun, but it's those losing streaks that get to you. You can do so solid at first, but start losing and you usually keep playing dice trying to earn back what you've lost. Eventually you just lose everything, has happened to me numerous times. It is so hard to do, but I have learned to just walk away after doing one or two good rolls.

Yes, we should just walk away if you made money already because we really don't know what the future holds. Maybe right now you are in a winning streak, however, minutes later the string of bad luck started and now you can't control yourself because you wanted to recoup. I remember going on a land based casino and the first slot machine that I played gave me good dividends. But I don't want to walk away because I just arrived. Lol. But as far as favorite games, I getting addicted playing machine operated roulette in a casino. Just last week I was hooked because it gave me huge winnings. Grin
9976  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I continue hodl my Bitcoin? on: July 15, 2018, 03:04:10 AM
Don't!
hold it until the price come back because you will lost your money on that way just be patient because we know that the price is not in stable so definitely you'll be lost anything if you do a wrong move and make a wrong choices so observe the market and be patient.
Patience is indeed a virtue. With the current price of Bitcoin at 6.2k there's still a room for it to rise at a higher value. I think during this downturn, holding is an ideal strategy to reduce huge losses. Let's all be hopeful, and be informed that market is constantly recovering and at the course of time it will generate huge profit.

Lol. There's a huge room to fill the gap here. From $20K>>> $6K. So its either those who bought bitcoin sell to cut off loses or just hold on it. i will choose the former though. We are not losing any money by holding, what you really need is a lot of patience and not be tempted to sell and of course the mentality that bitcoin will always recovered should always be on top of our minds specially for huge investors.
9977  Economy / Economics / Re: Predictions Markets? on: July 14, 2018, 01:45:52 PM
I think it needs lot of data to predict. I think in choosing which the ideal markets should have these with their statistics to predict and determine the flow of crypto.

I disagree with more data to predict the future movement. Its not an indication of things to come because the market is very volatile and at best maybe you can predict only 5-10% accuracy. Just look at the prediction for 2017. If you will go around the dig old threads in the beginning of 2017, others says that bitcoin will go as high as $5K only. But we all know that it just didn't hit $5K, it surpasses it 4x at the end of last year.
9978  Economy / Economics / Re: Does money make you rich? on: July 14, 2018, 01:25:30 PM
To me the answer is No. Money alone doesn't make an individual rich. A lot of people go to work everyday, working for money and making more money, but fail to become richer. Ironically, many only grow deeper in debt.we have all heard stories of lottery winners who are instantly poor again. Also there are cases of real estate going into foreclosure instead of making homeowners richer. We all know of persons who have lost money investing in the stock market. Maybe you are one of those individuals who have lost money investing on cryptocurrency,Bitcoin to be precise. Even investing in gold(real money) can cost the investor money

For all intents and purposes, it is not business, estates, stocks, bitcoin (crypto currency) or money that makes a person rich. It is information, wisdom, knowledge that makes one wealthy.

Being rich is subjective but the problem is that people measure you in terms of how much money you have to be called rich. Others they are rich as well because they are blessed with kids who then became became rich and successful. And then people who are well love and known by a lot of persons can claim to be rich as well because of the love and admiration they received. So for me, of course having a lot of money is good, but its not the only thing that can define a man's success in this world.
9979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Walk of Shame on: July 14, 2018, 01:05:45 PM
I wanted to share a bit of sad news. My sister's in law went to us this lunch time saying that his mother-in-law hasn't been home for almost a day and asked if we see her in the casino. We (me and my wife) and said yes and we told her that the old lady is wandering around the casino. And then we discovered that the old lady has a lot of money that day and perhaps she lost everything and either doesn't want to go home or doesn't have any money left for a taxi cab and can't do the walk of shame since she is too old already. If we have known the situation back then, we could have pick her up and bring her home. I just feel sad hearing the news today though.
9980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin in August? on: July 14, 2018, 11:28:11 AM
It is no longer news that Bitcoin went below 6k recently and all hell was let loosed but generally the coin remained within the 6k threshold. We are almost half of July and nothing drastic has happened as per the price of Bitcoin. Do we expect to see a serious upward trend beyond the current price in August?

I'm sure that we can all speculate as what the price of bitcoin will be in August. Just likes the previous months, we all wake up and feeling positive for every new month that we are entering. And same as previous months, our speculate didn't happened because the market is still on the bear control. If there is a serious upward trend that can happen next month, it could be possible trigger by some positive news that will influence investors to renew their interest on the market. The question is what kind of news or event is that? Remains to be seen.
