While I agree with your idea of decentralization and transparency, complete lack of hierarchy will get you no where. I speak from personal experience operating under the exact same circumstances. Organize a core group and try to move forward. Be careful who you trust, scammers and extortionists love infiltrating these projects.

Well looks like some aid workers are being sent to the US in intensive quarantine because they were infected with Ebola
This would be the first case of Ebola to come to the USA in known medical history so its interesting from a medical standpoint
(As long as it doesn't break quarantine and become a pandemic kid)
Near the CDC maybe they will take samples to study it though like Anthrax etc.

Yes, I am going to compare the two. Both are predators who prey upon the uneducated, the poor, the disenfranchised. Both spew outrageous propaganda filled with hate and division, in order to gain more power. They also, at the same time, promote a conservative utopia - just at the end of a string.
Look at how Hamas has hurt the Palestinian people. They threw money around and promised them a better world, all the while brainwashing them and stoking the hate of the Jews. And now who is dying? Civilians........the "collateral damage" so to speak.
Look at the Tea Party/Far Right movement - they basically do the same game - they stir up fear and hate and bigotry and whip the "faithful" into a frenzy.
They have stupid Americans now spouting Anti-American rhetoric, calling for impeachment - or even death - to our President because he is Black. They encourage "armed insurrection" and "Second Amendment Solutions" but who's going to get hurt? Not them - just the "little people."
So now - who do you think the "collateral damage" of the Tea Party will be...who will ultimately pay?
This is totally disingenuous. While I don't affiliate myself with tea party folks or agree with a lot of what they say, comparing them to Hamas is just a slandering tool. There was a time when the conservative tea party movement and the liberal occupy movement were coming to agreement and unifying. That ended quickly as these groups were both hijacked and the red vs blue dichotomy was repeated again and fine tools such as yourself began swallowing the story hook line and sinker and made it just another us vs them perpetual motionless machine. |

I'm not sure its legal for a judge to order a jury to come to one conclusion and deny them the option of a hung jury. That said I think a hung jury is the best solution. it lets ventura's ego off the hook without taking money from the widow. It does however show that the deposition which some accused of being lies because "they didn't remember and if you can't remember you're lying" wasn't as powerful as some had thought it would be for ventura.
If her husband illicitly gained the money by slandering Ventura, why does his widow deserve his money? Jessie Ventura served as well, not just as a Navy SEAL, but as a governor. Why is his service less important because he is a public figure? You may or may not like Jessie Ventura, but this is clearly a slander campaign and I hope Ventura gets the result he is looking for. I remember when this whole ordeal originated, Kyle went all over talk shows calling Ventura out. I have a hard time believing any former Navy SEAL would say such things. Also people forget there was a rumor he would run for president at the time as a VP to Ron Paul. That is plenty of incentive to slander Ventura in an attempt to ruin his political aspirations. |
