9982  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [helping thread]Tanong mo sagot ko on: April 10, 2017, 06:55:03 PM

Mobile kasi gamit ko sir eh, pero maaari po bang makahingi ng idea panu magset.up ng desktop wallet baka sakaling makabili ng computer soon. Thanks in advance.

Refer here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (Under desktop wallets - Choose - Visit Site)

Come back here if you have some questions na medyo nalito ka or don't have some familiarity while on installation process or pag mismong nasetup mo na . Setting up is easy like ralle14 stated, normal installation lang ng ibang applications sa PC so madali lang talaga.

Guys good evening, ask ko lang kung ayos lang ba mag.imbak ng btc ke coins.ph instead of coinbase/xapo/blockchain? I mean, yung mga kinikita galing sa trading, campaign at iba pang source of bitcoin income, di ba sya hassle like fees in sending/receiving pati cash out?

It's not wrong to trust coins.ph as they are legitimate company but it's a wiser way kung for storage purposes lang naman wag na magsaved ng bitcoins doon. Just use their services instead.

If by any chances na web wallets lang talaga ang puwede mong magamit, try to store it on multiple web wallets provider just in case na maging fraud ang isa di damay ang mga itlog mo sa basket. If magcacashout ka, just send all of them at coins.ph and gawin mo lang yan pag talagang iwiwithdraw to save transaction fees (in case of Coinbase).

Below Php50k is fine for me na magsaved doon. Pag lumampas na withdraw but not all.
9983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 10, 2017, 06:25:48 PM
Yes and that's it. Russell Westbrook breaks Robertson's record and set his own at 42nd triple double made in a season. What a difficult achievement that was all started last year against the New York Knicks. It's hard to maintained the numbers and this guy just don't give up. Kudos to him.

And to add for that historical achievement, they win against the Denver Nuggets with a fantastic show. A beautiful buzzer beater from the 40 ft rainbow area, who thought it will bucket since that is a defended quick catch and shoot. A monster performance @ 50 pts , 16 boards and 10 assists which on first half already have 23 pts, 12 boards and 6 assists.

MVP isn't it?
Yes he does deserve everything he worked hard for in his long career!
Beast mode initiated in this game to take it to the next level.
He took the record in fine form and instyle with an astounding 50 points just to show his critics he is not messing around and he is serious contender just as Lebron and Harden for their respective teams are and the sole winner for the MVP title this year! He has this one in the bag. Cool
No doubt about that now! Grin

There must be rewards for his hardwork. It's a big task to maintained good average points every game and it's not a joke even you will ball hog the whole playing system. Thanks also to his teammates to their cooperation and no doubt giving full support to Russell Westbrook. And to increase more his chances in grabbing the MVP title, he must go full force again at their last 2 games remaining this season which is against the Minnesota Timberwolves and a hosting with the Denver Nuggets.

If lucky he can make another record of 43rd and 44th triple double record made in a season and I think he will attempt to do that as no need for them to focus on win as they already clinched their playoffs spot no matter what. History on process again on Russ.
9984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will get half million dollars prices by 2030 : Blockchain.info CEO on: April 10, 2017, 06:00:47 PM
I believe everyone will love this speculation. Read on this here : https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-hit-500000-2030-says-snapchats-first-investor

They are not just throwing blind balls but come with solid evidences to support their speculation.

Usually both positive and negative speculations will occur quicker than expected. We may speculate price levels some what accurately but not the time frame. So, time of 2030 may  shrink to 2025 too, what you think ?

We will take a look on some of the factors why they made such projections:

"Remittance transfers are one reason. Bitcoin transfers to foreign countries have nearly doubled in the past 15 years and account for 0.75% of GDP, according to the World Bank."

-No doubt the growth was great and expect that it will continously do so in the following years to come. Just imagined per year, bitcoin users are increasing in numbers and that will include the transaction between country to country.

"The growth of mobile transactions is another factor. Non-cash transactions will jump from 15% to 30% over the next decade as smartphone use increases. The total number of smartphone users is expected to reach 1 billion by 2020."

-Chances are high but we can't say that additional smartphone users will become a bitcoin enthusiast. Just today the numbers are pretty low compare to the whole users of smartphone that uses cryptocurrency.

These are also interesting ingsights:

"A $1,000 bitcoin price in 2017."

Eventually a start of the new journey to the moon in the upcoming years.

"The bitcoin user network will grow 61 times through 2030. A population of bitcoin users comprising 5% of the world’s population in 2030 will drive the price to $500,000 in 2030. From 2013 to 2017, the network grew from 120,000 users to 6.5 million users, nearly a 54-fold gain. Such growth would produce 400 million users in 2030."

It should and expected.

"The average bitcoin value per user will hit $25,000. When institutional investors cash in their bitcoins, bitcoin-based ETFs and trading by sophisticated investors will increase, pushing the average value to $25,000. With a current market cap of $17.4 billion and 6.5 million users, the average user now holds $2,515 of bitcoin."

"The 2030 market cap is based on the number of bitcoin holders multiplied by the average held bitcoin value."

"The cryptocurrency’s 2030 supply will be about 20 million."

"The 2030 price and user count will total $500,000 and 400 million, respectively. The price is determined by taking the $10 trillion market cap and dividing it by 20 million bitcoins, the fixed supply."

What a fearless forecast they have and really interesting to see that it will happen. Shocked What do other think of that?
9985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convert BTC to USD, EUR or YUAN for profit? on: April 10, 2017, 05:33:18 PM
Right after a huge increase in BTC price, some daily traders are tempted to convert BTC to local FIAT currency to make a profit.
There are many ways to do this, depending on your country of residence.

You can use either a Bitcoin debit card or a direct Bitcoin transfer to your local bank account. If you are in Europe you can use BITWALA
or Cashila for example, to convert from BTC to EUR and withdraw from your local bank account with your bank debit card.

You can also use the e-coin (or wirex) web terminal to convert from BTC to EUR and withdraw EUR with your e-coin or Xapo Bitcoin debit
card at any local ATM.

Whether you are in USA, Asia, Europe, Arabia, India, Africa, etc. which digital payment processor do you prefer, and why?

Our local exchanger can do that thing and lots of withdrawals options are available once we made a fiat conversion. XAPO offers that too with much higher selling conversion rate than our local exchanger although unfortunately there is no withdrawal options available at our country. If ever it will happen, it's way better to deal with XAPO rather than our local exchange in terms of fiat conversion.

But anyways, with today's current price increase I never tempted to convert my bitcoin into fiat. It's a wrong move if I will just convert it without any traces that bitcoin price will suddenly crash. As a safety measures, I always keep up with the current bitcoin price.
9986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China leading the way for a regulated bitcoin on: April 10, 2017, 04:57:09 PM
What's your comment?

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-exchange-okcoin-publishes-heightened-aml-guidelines/

This is expected.
I expect bitcoin future will be strictly regulated and centralized.

From the article...
Quote
‘Level 2 verification will require a copy of your passport, a copy of your ID /driving license, and additionally, a copy of your proof of residential address (e.g. bank statement, utility bill) issued within 3 months when needed,’ reads an excerpt from the new KYC procedures, asking customers to be prepared with the above-mentioned paperwork in front of a camera.

‘Video verification will require a device that has video recording function and access to the internet (e.g. cellphone, laptop, tablet). You will be required to show your legal documents in front of the camera,’ the notice added.

The other notable guideline informs users that single-signature wallet addresses created before today, starting with “1” and “L” for Bitcoin and Litecoin respectively, will stop functioning on April 23, 2017. Multi-signature addresses will not be affected.

That was already implemented in some of the bitcoin exchanges today including the web wallets.

Really expect that kind of measures since for bitcoin exchange to be legally operated, they need to comply with the country's rule about Anti Money Laundering and any associated law with their own financial system. No such thing as bitcoin anonymity once people use exchanges that's why I don't get other people why they are whining about the system like that. And those people want a mass bitcoin adoption without thinking that for bitcoin to be massively, it must be regulated and centralized.
9987  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see $1300 again? on: April 10, 2017, 03:10:40 PM
I believe that there is little time left. it will return to 1300 usd in a week.

Little time of what? Does we have a time limit here for that amount to be reached?

Don't mind reaching it and just go with the current flow of bitcoin price. Set your goals in two aspects of the bitcoin price movement whether hugging the dip via FUD, negative news etc. and execute your buying move or holding the coins and wait for the price peak before the sudden crash. Just remember that the recent bitcoin price increase gives us a hint to buy coins every dip and challenge the risk. BTU can consider as a serious FUD but looks how bitcoin price established it's great support and recovers to what it is today.
9988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to Bitcointalk.org - Interested in currency trading on: April 10, 2017, 02:08:53 PM

Few more suggestions:
1. Don't buy anything that is pumping like hell in last 24 hour.
2. Don't sell anything you hold if price goes down by 10-20% overnight, it is normal swing for alts.
3. Don't follow any suggestions you may get from trollbox in trading platform or in twitter handles.
4. Don't panic on small pump and dump.
5. Wait for some correction in price to buy the alt that is pumping steadly in last few days. And only trade coins that have high marketcaps.
6. Invest in alts during ICO that have lots of potential and very competent developers behind.

1. But sometimes it's best to follow the trend. Since altcoins always have a behaviour like that especially the new one, it's good to take advantage of that pumping hell. That hell can lead to it's peak that can give an investor a decent return. Since all our risky, it's worth a shot if they can able to ride on that particular movement which is normal in altcoin price movement.

2. Depends on the alt, most alts when experience a onetime price decrease after their pump, will continously goes down and have a coorection price for up to 200% as base price. The best thing to do here is; try to limit the amount that will risk in minimizing the loss purposes. Also it will depend on the current of a specific alt.

3. Likely agree. It's better to hear speculations from experienced traders but remember to don't take it as primary advice to do and just use it as reference. Eventually as a trader will continue to pursue his trading career, they can make their own analyzations to help them in their future trades.

4. Yes try to make our hands a strong one and not a weak hands. But it doesn't mean we have to stick in the idea of strong hands as sometimes weak hands can save our asses in the upcoming price crash.

5. Waiting for the correction is really advisable only if a trader are eyeing for a long term holding with the specific alt. And no, it's also worth a shot to trade coins that have low market capitalization. Traders are here to profit anyways.

6. That is a hard thing to do. It's easy to say that a certain alt have future but we can't guarantee the future of it even there roadmaps are bright. But that can't be applied on new coins on ICO so still it's up to the investors if they will find their luck at those coins on ICO.

9991  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or zcash? on: April 09, 2017, 07:30:54 PM
I think Zcash is the coin are good, I also save Zcash, but overall I think the bitcoin is the best among all the cryptocurrency at the moment, but I'm sure one day will be beat by altcoin.
Yes i also believe that bitcoin will be defeated by altcoin by i don't think it will happen soon because it will take a lot of times before any altcoin do that because bitcoin now is very strong and the community behind bitcoin is very big, So i don't think there is a possibility now that bitcoin will be replace by another one. I think after 20 years, there will be an altcoin who will replace bitcoin that is better and stronger.

I don't think so. Just look at those forkings made at bitcoin.

What kind of defeat that a certain alt can give to bitcoin? Price? If only in price then no way any alts can surpass bitcoin. Bitcoin is not all about price but the technology behind it. How about those famous altcoin today that having a decent price? They are only meant for profit and that what others trader are taking advantage that's why they are there.

We can't based the high price of an altcoin as a main factor why it will replaced bitcoin even for the next 50 years.
9992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Imagine how the guys that sold at $800 feel now on: April 09, 2017, 07:08:32 PM
I knew Bitcoin was not going any lower than $800 when the forkcoin fears were hovering around. Now Jihan Wu is hated by the entire community except the couple paid shills. Looks like UASF is closer than ever and this is translating into a healthy price.

I never think of solding my coins back when the price hits that level. First of all, my own way is; if there's a certain level that I missed to a point that it's totally a profit decrease for up to 50-100% then I will not touch those coins and just expect that price will hit again the same level it was before. That was the risk in my way. But to cover that, I must take advantage of the price decrease and embrace the FUD.

And look, the output is good. Just because the recent FUD are having a strong impact in the whole bitcoin system it doesn't mean that it can totally pullout some of the funds injected at Bitcoin.
9993  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mobile application or web application? on: April 09, 2017, 06:40:54 PM
Let us use a public blockchain's great advantage, which is availability!

Availability is not only one of the most important criterias of security, but also the comfort of being available from any device, anywhere. This idea goes well with the idea of mobile and web applications. We have this trend of increasing web/mobile applictions partly but mainly because we would like to access the application from anywhere with our actual device.

Since both technologies (from-browser-accessible web and Google Store-like mobile app) can use the availability of the public blockchain, which of them should we focus on?

Creating web applications that we can access from browser or creating mobile application that we can download from store?

Focus on both, if necessary.

The main purpose is to get in touch  in all aspects since every people have different availability on accessing anything online. Looks at some of the web apps that eventually adopt the mobile app version of their respected site. Much comfortable since the options are both available on different platform. Way better than only available on single one.
9994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 09, 2017, 06:13:55 PM

Well the first round of thr playoffs would most likely be a give away for the top teams in each conference. I don't see any 7th and 8th team upsetting either gsw and sas or cleveland and boston. The exciting matches would be the middle teams

Maybe in Eastern Conference but not in the Western Conference as Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies are not an average team especially if they will placed on the Eastern Conference.

Memphis Grizzlies have an inner play that can wrecked the top teams and they proven that in the past playoffs and even every season. Likely they will faced again the top 2 seed in the West which is the San Antonio Spurs for the fourth time. For the record and some trivia here, Memphis Grizzlies was top 8 seed last 2010-2011 NBA season but managed to win against the top seed San Antonio Spurs via 4-2 and advanced to second round but lost to Oklahoma City Thunders to 3-4 which is very close. That playoffs will be remarkable to them if they advanced to finals eventough they are in the lowest seed.

We can't really say what will happen to those team in the lower seed as sometimes they are exploding especially in Playoffs where records will start at 0-0 W/L.
9995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting question on: April 09, 2017, 05:42:43 PM
Favorite teams especially the strong ones sometimes having a low odds on Moneyline so I just wondered how others able to get a decent earnings from their favorite teams in terms of picking it. No such explanation included in their post if it's live bet (although few cases that strong ones will be under on live) or betting before the game match.

On topic, making parlays is my specialty why I having a good stats in my journey of gambling in sports betting. Teams are vary because I want a good odds to consider. Choosing only strong ones will give me low odds even I make a lots of set in my parlays. Also Im looking at other betting options available since it's more profitable than relying only on Moneyline.
9996  Economy / Speculation / Re: What keeps Bitcoin price stable? on: April 09, 2017, 05:11:53 PM
If we look at the past performance since bitcoin's commencement of operations and takes it to the current trend, there is no such thing as stable price happened in bitcoin price.

Now look..

The interesting part here is the resistance builds in every push (bull) and able to withstand any attempt to make the price go lower (bear) for up to price that is still considered as high. Recently we saw that the price being pull down to it's lowest this year which is on $800 level after being on above $1200 and now look as we sit again at that range. So called negative news or FUD really plays a big factor why other people are enjoying profit with today's price. Taking advantage doesn't always with the positive news but also with the negative one.
9997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Sell on: April 09, 2017, 04:41:12 PM
In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%
But what is your process in this? How do you go about hold and sell timings?

As much as possible, depends on the current trend, Im trying to wait for the highest possible peak before selling. In case of price decrease, I have some set limits (vary depending on the situation) on how long will I stay before I pull out especially when Im doing bitcoin trades. In case I didn't able to pull out then just go on hold since no matter what it takes the price will still reached it's former peak and chances to even break it is high.

Now because I didn't able to pullout and will just hold the coins that supposedly on sell, I must take advantage of the current dip and embrace it so that the quantity on hand will increase and not just rely on the first set of hold coins.
9998  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: April 09, 2017, 04:05:04 PM

i think we don't have this chance as that MLM is scamming us in the early stage and we can not withdraw anything we invest. i think, for hyip programs, if the programs is start in less than 10 days, then there will be a chance for us to get our money back plus with the profit. but if we are join after 10 days or more, then be ready to get scamming because this is what i am learn in my past.

The duration of period depends on the output of the investors stats of the said MLM companies. So no specific time as even more than 10 days, a HYIP or any ponzi scheme can continously pay to make sure more investors will come and will eat the bait. Also it really depends on the owner when they will show their true color.

In most of the cases, if they see good output within a few days, they will continue to operate to gain more deposits. That's why they makeup some long term plan which as far as my knowledge concerned averaging from 30 days above before investors gained profits. But if ever while on operation and they reached a good amount that can consider as making them rich, obviously they will go out anytime.

It was also present in real world especially here in our country. Tired of explaining to them what is the output if they joined so I think the best thing to do is to make them feel what investing in MLM really does.
9999  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: April 09, 2017, 03:31:44 PM

to be honest I am temped to go back to the site again, I used to use this faucet anyways back in 2014 when I found out about bitcoin. and today they have so much more features such as the lottery and the interest. although I have trouble with the extreme low faucet payment, I mean 100-200 satoshi! that is way too low Smiley
the only thing that may make me go and check it out again is the lottery and a chance to win a big amount  and I am actually a lottery fan.

Way too low because of the current bitcoin price exchange rate playing at around $1180+ as of Im typing this.

If you played on 2014, the current bitcoin price that time is somehow can consider as high price (for the adoptors that started in 2015 like me) so still remember the faucet rewards back then?. When I started, the faucet is giving out around 1,000 sats/hr that's why Im kinda enthusiast of this site. That was the time when the bitcoin price are down to below $300 for almost half a year.

About the lottery, well goodluck to your desire. Every faucet claim is equivalent for a couple of tickets without any cost.

Seems that OP has cancelled his project to make a list of scam bitcoin gambling sites, still no list till today and OP is not active again since few days ago.
Are you still collecting some more info before releasing the list?

The thread is already dead the moment it was being unresponded by the OP. There are already scam bitcoin gambling site/s but even a single one, OP doesn't listed so how come it was taking too long to release the list.

And to add for the topic especially for the newbies, the first thing to do when choosing a gambling site is the feedback from the community. Learn not to just invest and play without any assurance* that the site is somehow a legit one. The community is welcome for any questions.

Just those AdmiralSpot sig campaigners bump this thread since they need post from Gambling section (and now I bumped it too lol). Hopefully this is the last post here and the thread will gone for good.
