I've been playing a little bit on the friendlies and not doing well at all, not that it's anything to go by!

Have a feeling we'll see quite high scores in some games, and then a couple of 0-0s in the first week. I'm still playing around with my picks though, hope Atalanta retains their momentum but personally want to see Lazio pushing for it with a very fit Lucas Leiva bossing the midfield!

Horrible parlay in the end, I have no idea what I'm doing, do I?

Mixing it up today with some 1st half over/unders, hoping for high-energy Chinese games and then pad it off with what should be an easy PSG win and Seattle thumping? Insurance!

Game 1: RC Lens - Paris Saint-Germain FC. PSG WIN @1.69. Betcoin odds: 1.70
Game 2: Seattle Sounders - San Jose Earthquakes. Seattle WIN @1.70. Betcoin odds: 1.70

Game 4: Beijing Guoan FC - Tianjin Teda. HT over 1.5 @1.95. Betcoin odds: 1.92

Yeah I actually think the no crowd thing works for clubs who play differently under pressure, and for clubs who feed off their supporters. So in general the big clubs actually lose out because they have a mentality that plays well at home, and plays better when the crowd is booing them.

Club like Arsenal benefits from no crowds (no home pressure and they're mentally very affected by boos).

So for now, I'm betting purely on how they performed towards the end of last season without crowds. Anyone go for big scores this Week 1?

9984  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 1,500 restaurants in France start accepting bitcoin payments through Just Eat!!! on: September 10, 2020, 05:28:48 AM
I believe the reason why it took JustEat a lot of time before they add Bitcoin payment to their services in France is because of the statement once said by the French Central Bank (Banque de France) that Bitcoin should not be considered as a means of payment but the pandemic seems to switch things in favor of cryptocurrency.

That didn't stop 5,000+ French tabacs selling Bitcoin though! Though I suppose selling Bitcoin and accepting it as payment are legally two different things...

Same, bitcoin isn't a currency that you can spend anytime and anywhere, it's an asset that gives you a chance to earn a profit when price value surged.

Gonna save all of that bitcoin and sell it when it is already profitable. What if there are circumstances where you bought food by using bitcoin then suddenly the price goes high, definitely gonna regret it.

Speak for yourself =p Bitcoin's an experiment for me, still, even with all my belief and invested time in it. I earn what I can, save what I can, but I also want to spend it and use it to live. Worse case scenario Bitcoin dies (hey, possible), at least I can look back on all those pizzas paid for with a small slice of history;)
9985  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Proud partner of Southampton FC 🚀 on: September 09, 2020, 05:34:34 PM
Upon checking my email i found that there is a 1mbtc free bet promo called "Saintly Offer" currently live at Sportsbet.io
You have to place a bet equal or over 1mbtc (1.5 min odds) and you will receive a free bet for Southampton's opener on Saturday against Crystal Palace.
Don't forget to opt-in, full details can be seen here: https://sportsbet.io/promotions/epl-season-2020

SWEET. I wasn't planning on doing anything today but I opted in and dumped 1mBTC on a parlay in MLS. Just because I like it. And well, because I have a parlay already lost on the first leg (thank you, Shandong for only managing to draw).

Nice way to start the weekend! Lining up all my bets ha ha.
9986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 09, 2020, 04:17:56 PM
Maybe it's just easier to forget about all that complication, and request for a slight modification to the employment contract that only adjusts the mode of payment. Done this many times over the years especially in countries with volatile fiscal economy. Contract simply choose a currency agreed on by both parties, with a clause that accepts a flexible mode of payment.

Then you go through Bitwage, and choose any percentage to be converted to btc at the rate during exchange. It's just a roundabout way of buying bitcoin at dollar cost average really.

Apologies if already suggested, didn't see it on the pages I skimmed through.
9987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2020, 12:32:22 PM
Superbru will always inform you with picks you need to make in any changes. And, from the Dashboard, you will be alerted how many picks you have to make in the next 24 hours and next 72 hours (there will be an exclamation mark in red to alert you). PLUS you will get an email with a direct link to make your picks.

That happened last season with Champions League rescheduling, so no worries about that!
9988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2020, 11:18:22 AM
Yeah, I've done all my picks for all my pools, based on a rather vague memory of what the teams were able to do last season -- I think nothing counts in a new season though so I will definitely look at how teams play in Week 1 to make further picks! I'm sticking to mainly favourites thouh;)

Granada tempting to pick for early season strength based on how they played early last season and post-lockdown.

Guys I'm a bit sad to say that I won't be able to join La liga pool on Superbru as I simpl realised I won't have enough time to watch all that games and track what is going on there so I had to choose one.

I chose Seria A and I have joined that pool instead, good luck to you all in this one though Cheesy

Ah, no worries my friend. See you in the other pool then =D
9989  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 1,500 restaurants in France start accepting bitcoin payments through Just Eat!!! on: September 09, 2020, 08:02:22 AM
I'm actually surprised to learn it wasn't already there. JustEat in Netherlands has been using Bitpay since at least 2017 through Thuisbezorgd (that's basically the only way I can pay for food delivery with Bitcoin), I'd assumed they have been doing it through the same partnership everywhere. JustEat was actually South Korean originated I thought, so the English-Dutch mention must mean they were bought over?

Anyway, Bitcoin users might be annoyed to use Bitpay to pay for that food the way I do every order haha. Word of caution: don't use RBF, and overestimate fees or Bitpay drops your tx and then you go through an annoying process of refunding.

Typical England. Would have got my bet back if you guys didn't do such a half-arsed job of it. And Georgia well, it was always a risk even if they led again in terms of creating chances.

We go again with nice boosts here:

Game 1: Shanghai Shenhua - Shandong Luneng. Shandong WIN @1.66. Betcoin odds: 1.64
Game 2: Inter Miami CF - Atlanta United FC. Miami WIN @1.94. Betcoin odds: 1.95
Game 3: Montreal Impact - Toronto FC. Toronto WIN @1.87. Betcoin odds: 1.88
Game 4: Frosinone Calcio - AS Roma. Roma WIN @1.52. Betcoin odds: 1.50
Game 5: Cadiz CF - UD Almeria. Cadiz WIN @1.72. Betcoin odds: 1.72

9991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2020, 05:25:22 AM
Belgium should be able to beat Iceland relatively easily today, and I guess Belgium should be able to score more than 2 goals against Iceland at the final whistle. England have managed to achieve a lucky victory against Iceland in their last match, but I think England will not be getting 3 points from Denmark today, as there is a high chance for this match to ends up in a draw.

Spot on right there with your calls, man. I didn't do a Belgium match as odds weren't good for me but I certainly took England at 2/1, I should have gone for the draw as you predicted or handicap Belgium even. I know they were playing like shit but I thought they'd want to secure the win as discussed yesterday to lose the talk of scandal. Three Lions, yup.
9992  Economy / Speculation / Re: sell now or you WILL regret it on: September 08, 2020, 04:16:52 PM
I've seen many optimistic people here in the forum already. I want to see users like you that are very pessimistic as of this moment Smiley.
You are helping us to prevent from losing money so you are saying to us to sell it??

I don't care about what you are saying right now. I don't care though even the price will go down further and that is better than buying it at the top Tongue. Speak all you want, I will not feel any regret and I will not sell. I'll feel more regret if I sell all of my holdings right now.

Amen brother. I was sorely disappointed by just how stubbornly people clinged on to hope in 2018/19, and you can imagine how let down I was this year when people started cheering and putting the flags out again for Bitcoin.

Don't get me wrong, inside I'm happy and all that but I'm in for the long game. And the more I see the optimism, the more I think my gratification will be delayed=p

Why can't weak hands just completely exit, right? =D
9993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money from bank hacks rarely gets laundered through cryptocurrencies on: September 08, 2020, 01:59:45 PM
Yeah, I've a partner working in traditional finance and we get into occassional talks whenever one of these "Bitcoin scandals" pop up -- as they do every now and then.

Then I wait for the inevitable bank scandal to pop up (the latest I recall was Danske Bank in Estonia) and then point out the massive amounts of money laundered... by the very same culprits in suits.

It's all good fun in the end, but I think anyone seriously working in AML sectors know exactly who the bad guys are. And the bad guys are beginning to understand crypto is really, really not the way to go if you want to wash dirty money.
9994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 08, 2020, 12:30:03 PM
gonna avoid those two games and go with England handicap tonight https://i.ibb.co/HhcPCDZ/engl.png
they were crap against Iceland, yes, but I watched Denmark last saturday and they didn't impress me. I think the english boys will want to "clean" their image after that awful display of football the other day, plus so much controvery surrounding the NT right now, surely a win will get rid of that shite  Grin

Don't know about Covid... Djokovic did one mess of a scandal and yet still managed to get in the good books, so I suspect eyes will be closed and tongues won't wag.

But yeah, England odds got a nice boost because of their shitty performance, and while the Danes aren't shit, I think England will step up. No Greenwood or Walker because THEY got busted for their shenanigans (really, England, do you always have to court controversy?) but there's plenty of talent to see them through and yeah, they'll want to win to forget all that silliness.

I still can’t believe they held these dumb international fixtures so soon before the start of the season. Still, we don’t have long to wait until the real stuff returns. A very strange time, not just for sport.

It's going to be hectic for an entire year. Congested fixtures, and then other continental tournaments, all coming up to Euro 2021! I know Liverpool may well have to put off challenging on many fronts for yet another season because of squad depth (a lack of) so it will again be down to teams like City who have a lot of players to compete and allow some to rest in cup games.

Definitely might be seeing more youth players feature in EPL... and then one-time KO rounds in tourneys will become more and more common. Definitely a strange time!
9996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 08, 2020, 09:21:57 AM
According to bookmakers, the Netherlands are clear favorite (win NL 2.35 vs win IT 3.25). I would see the match more equalized so a bet on a win of Italy could be a good chance at very good odds. Or double chance Italy at 2.19 is also a good opportunity.

Austria vs. Romania
The bookmakers see Austria as the winning team (win AT 1.69 vs. win RO 5.6). I see a good chance to go for double chance Romania at 3.9.

Nice call on Romania, I totally avoided that one since I didn't have the time nor current knowledge to bet on them, but that should have been on my radar!

I booked a nice Italian win (3.15 only) -- and judging from the attempts alone on goal, they deserved to win, something the bookies probably got a bit wrong, and based almost entirely on Netherlands' recent form I guess.

Right, so Nations League has been pretty kind, took a few good singles not posted here, including Italy at over 3/1, so let's try for an insured parlay. Betcoin seems to have some good odds but Sportsbet's boost works out even better.

The risk here is Georgia, but they were really good to me in first Nations League qualifiers anyway, so here goes.

Game 1: Georgia - North Macedonia. Georgia WIN @2.37. Betcoin odds: 2.41
Game 2: Denmark - England. England WIN @2.02. Betcoin odds: 2.02
Game 3: France - Croatia. France WIN @1.62. Betcoin odds: 1.64
Game 4: Sweden - Portugal. Portugal WIN @1.80. Betcoin odds: 1.79
Game 5: Portsmouth FC - Colchester United. Portsmouth WIN @1.62. Betcoin odds: 1.66
100 units parlay at Sportsbet (boosted) @24.20. Betcoin parlay: 23.72
Bet ID: 5f571baff307f519e12594cd

Odds advantage: 48

Running advantage after 432 bets: +14,610 (+48)
All-time cumulative: +36,610
Running units after 431 bets (73W|358L): +13,316.15 (-100)
9998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Betting on bitcoin against Central Bank Digital Currencies on: September 08, 2020, 06:25:39 AM
People can not avoid to use fiat in their lives. Paper fiat or coming CBDC, we can not avoid to use them but I agree with you that in any nations, choose the most trusted banks to use and at least chose 2 banks (a basic of decentralization, even when use banks try to diversify to at least 2 banks). Big and trusted bank can be compromised and destroyed inside that we don't know till the day it announces a bankcruptcy.

I don't go all in on Bitcoin, same as you. Because as said, I need some amount of fiat to use, and to manage risk. Investment in bitcoin should be made with free money that we don't have plans to use in near future. Beyond bitcoin, another fund in fiat for emergencies.

Yeah, that's how I'm spreading my risk. 2 banks in my home country, and one in my resident country, across 3 currencies (my home, euro and dollars). I could still be f*cked but I'm more confident of a free bank insurance scheme than anything else right now. And then of course I have my Bitcoin, which I have the least confidence in (during my lifetime).

As I said, it'd be very different if I were alone in this life but well, we have to live in reality, and we can't gamble with the lives of others...
9999  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜— GameArt tournament 🏆125 mBTC price pool on: September 07, 2020, 02:35:37 PM
That's the catch with this tournament, you have to start big in order to participate and the payout should indeed cover that plus a little surplus.

So, if you factor all of that in then you come to the conclusion that only if you're confident enough in your skills and have spare cash lying around only then you can enter the competition to have a good laugh. Otherwise, the laugh would be a pretty expensive one  Shocked

That said, its better to have a descent pool size rather than only inflate it to attract people and end up scamming everybody.

Kinda similar for all wager competitions in the end (which is what this essentially is). You calculate your risk as possible house edge, and hope you don't have to lose more than you stand to win in the end.

Or, it's a bonus for people who gamble a lot anyway -- I suppose there are always gamblers who don't play for bonuses and they see this as extra leverage to count against losses.

Guys who call that kind of money pathetic, can't even use their real accounts to comment on forum;)

Now Germany's paying for their cautious approach. 2 points from their toughest opponents, and Switzerland might even fancy their chances now, cause they could have won this one in all honesty. Ty was right about Germany both times. All in the lineup after all, eh?

No real upsets anyway, odds wise, except maybe Malta getting that point against Latvia.

@Trofo: I think you call those system parlays (if I understand what you're trying to do) and I the only crypto bookie I know of that can do that now is Betcoin (just choose your selections and change the tab to System instead of Combo).
