Well in fact my quota of gambling posts is already fulfilled for this week so I was just replying to betwrong who quoted me and it wasn't just a campaign post like many of the messages here  Roll Eyes

Thank you for the link it's not exactly the same operations as freebitcoin but it's the same principle which is explained in fewer word on freebitcoin. Nonetheless there are some interesting tools in your link to verify the rolls without having to do it in shell.

Quote from: freebitco.in
Two strings are created :
STRING1 = "[NONCE]:[SERVER SEED]:[NONCE]"
STRING2 = "[NONCE]:[CLIENT SEED]:[NONCE]"

Then HMAC-SHA512 is used to hash STRING1 with STRING2 as the secret key, giving us a 128 character hex string.
The first 8 characters of the hex string are taken and converted to a decimal.
This decimal is then divided by 429496.7295 and rounded off to the nearest whole number.
This whole number is used as your roll, with the maximum possible value being 10,000.

(LOL it's better to do it by insulting people?  Cheesy BTW I was not talking to you... but he was talking to me)
Nonces are not random values, after 1 there is always 2...

Of course it's doable in terms of programming, but it's impossible to implement in a provably fair game, which is MULTIPLY BTC on freebitco.in. In short, each roll is independent, and they can't affect the outcome in any way.
I disagree with that, if the game is really random and "provably fair" then the Gaussian law tells us that the probability tends to be respected, so when you flip a coin there are more chances you get 10 times heads and 10 times tails than you get 19times heads and 1 time tails...

That was my response to a suggestion that there can be an algorithm implemented on the site so that after a winning bet the chances of winning the next one become lower. Namely, to this one below:

~
I think it could be hardcoded in the algorithm that with every won bet the odds of winning the next  bet are altered ever so slightly. Now I am no programmer would like someone credible to either confirm or deny this?

So, what exactly do you disagree with? Are you trying to say that if there were much more than 10 "over 50" results within 20 bets, it means that the site is not "provably fair"?

The best thing about provably fair system is that a gambling site makes its move before you do. Unless they have a time machine, they can't rig the outcome of your roll because they have already broadcast their seed. Do you understand this?
Yes you're right they provide the hash of the seed they will use, and they allow us in a sub menu to change our seed.
Well, I don't think many users change it or are even aware they can do that.
And in the auto-bet if you don't click on randomize client seed, the client seed doesn't change, it stays constant during all the session.

Everybody made weight.  So yeah...  All good.  Pretty uneventful, tho Ladd had the shakes during the official weigh ins (the vid below is the ceremonial weigh ins made for the fans and everybody else).

Yes it's the fake weigh ins
Here is the video of the real weight in of Aspen Ladd... (I don't know what she had)

Because since you have already won last time, you have statistically very little chance to consecutively win a second time at these odds...
and especially because it's India!

It's a known fact that previous outcomes do not affect future ones. Gamblers who don't understand this set a dicebot to "Increase by 10,000% on loss" playing with 98% win chance, and lose all their balance because of just two consecutive losses. I said "just" because there can be 3, and probably even more. I myself won 3 times in a row once, playing with 1% win chance. In fact I didn't win 3 times because I changed side, not believing that it can happen the third time, but it happened.

Statistics works good with millions and billions of events, but it fails frequently with not that many of them.
You won a second time, NZ beat India.
Congratulations. But it's sad for you, you only bet few satoshis each time.

Yes, I won that time too, despite your predictions Smiley

And, no, it's not sad for me, winning always feels good.
Yes you're a very strong bettor indeed, and I would be curious to know how many people in the world won these 2 bets in a row.

Of course it's doable in terms of programming, but it's impossible to implement in a provably fair game, which is MULTIPLY BTC on freebitco.in. In short, each roll is independent, and they can't affect the outcome in any way.

9993  Local / Développement et technique / Re: Comment faire une attaque à 51% on: July 13, 2019, 02:05:04 PM
Merci pour tes précisions. Smiley

9995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Diary on: July 13, 2019, 08:54:44 AM
I have been betting on sports quite successfully for many years now and thought I would start a betting diary here in this forum. Anyone who wants can of course follow my bets, feel free to do so - in the end though, this is not the main intention of this thread and most importantly: please only bet with money you can afford to loose.

Please do not expect this to be a highly professional diary - I will just write down the events along with my picks, the respective odds and mark them green (if won) and red (if lost). I will not share my exact stakes for the time being. I will be tracking all of my bets in this opening post. I am kindly asking you not to "spam" this thread - you are more than welcome though for "real" discussions even though these should be related obviously.

Bet History

11.07.2019 - Crusaders vs B36 Torshavn: 1 @1.75
11.07.2019 - Connah's Quay vs Kilmarnock: 1 over 0,5 goals @1.80
11.07.2019 - Ventspils vs Teuta Durres: 1 @1.67

12.07.2019 - AEK Athens vs AS Trenčín: 1 @1.67
12.07.2019 - Derry City vs UCD: Over 2,5 goals @1.65
12.07.2019 - Shelbourne FC vs Cabinteely FC: 1 @1.53

13.07.2019 - Yokohama F. Marinos vs Urawa Red Diamons: 1 & over 1,5 @2.50

Why do you only bet on soccer? The odds are the worst.
9996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 13, 2019, 08:42:26 AM
Nadal doesen't look so good at the moment. He is loosing 2:1 in sets and break down in forth. Now he needs some exceptional tennis to turn this around but I don't think Federer will alow him an openning.

We should have a great final on sunday. Personally I am glad Federer will probably be in it. It is something special to see him play on grass.
I thought Nadal has the momentum, he made it 1:1 and it was a beautiful second set comeback. But Roger is the king of this court and eventually won, but it is an amazing display from two of the best players. I think Roger will win against Djoker in the finals.
It was a big match against Nadal, so I think Federer will be too much exhausted for the final of tomorrow. Federer is old now.

Of course Djokovic has some youthfulness compared to Federer. The two were the favorite to reach the finals. And Djokovic have a better record against Federer while competing in final. Both of these stars are fit and we could expect a competing and wonderful finals.
Thank you for these informations  Roll Eyes but you don't tell us who you think will win
9997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 13, 2019, 08:20:18 AM
So in case Manny wins case, I think he will go after Floyd here. That is the fight we all have been waiting for and the money in the table will be huge. Yes, he doesn't have much time left so he really needs to squeeze one final money fight and that is against Floyd Mayweather.
At the age of 40, i think one more fight after this is enough for Manny. He should hang his gloves for good and enjoy the good life that he had now. Mayweather vs Pacquiao should be the fitting finale of Manny's boxing history. TBE and lots of money at stake in here.
I disagree, because he could lose against Mayweather (he would be the underdog) and a legend like him can't stop his career on a loss.
Win or lose against Mayweather, he could retire because there is nothing else to prove. It's better if he could win against Floyd but we all know that it's a hill climb knowing how smart a fighter Floyd is and it's hard to beat him in boxing.
Yes nobody has ever beat Mayweather, so I don't think Pacman will want this type of challenge for his last fight. The last contender had been put KO in less than one minute...
9998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 13, 2019, 08:03:42 AM
Well she's cute but not muscular enough, de Randamie will destroy her imo.
Being more muscular would definitely dictate your chance of winning if you are in a body building contest but since they are competing in MMA then there's so many thing we should consider like the fighting style, combat skills and your fighting IQ as well. Have you watched Mir v.s. Lesnar and Miocic v.s. Cormier? The result of those matches proved us that size doesn't always matter Smiley.

As we look on their records, they got both 8 wins but Ladd never taste a loss in her career compared to de Randamie who got 3 losses already. Hmm, still a close match up, let's see who will win.
You're right but I don't think it's enough, de Randamie is a kickboxing undefeated champion, so it will be a hard fight.
