1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NSGminer v0.9.3: The Fastest NeoScrypt GPU Miner on: December 12, 2017, 07:46:38 AM
Fan control won't work right after I used this miner. Always stuck at whatever speed it was before I quit the miner. Horrible.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest me a rig for ETH? on: December 11, 2017, 08:46:11 AM
I'm not new in this but i would like to know i have 2500 euros and i want to invest in rig, i want to mine ETH. Can you tell me what to buy and how much i can expect per month? I know maybe 2500 euros (almost 3000$) is not too much but i would like to see suggestions and think to buy.

Since you have already your target coin to mine,I would suggest to read about miners that is mining ETH see below threads

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0

You could read about what type of GPU of most users shared on their hashrate, also with their most encountered problems and solutions.

goodluck and Happy Reading!

Ok i already check that before.
Can someone suggest me configurations? Smiley

Check out http://1stminingrig.com/ . You can find very detailed tutorials there and the admin is pretty responsive to questions too.

I'm confused by the stats. What exactly is "0.5 0.5 1.4 MH/s" supposed to mean? Do I add those together and get my hashrate or what?
Also I keep getting Pool 0 is hiding block, sending mismatched block contents, and requested work restart. Is this normal?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v10.2 on: December 07, 2017, 01:43:35 PM
anyone knows why my miner restarts randomly? doesn't seem like PSU issue because it mines eth just fine.

thanks. was getting an error but I thought it was driver conflict or something like that. it slowed down my rig to a crawl (almost freezing, sometimes actual freeze) everytime I start it.

EDIT:
ooooh... it turns out that my nvidia.txt needed tweaking.

does xmr-stak works on a rig with both nvidia and amd gpu?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 930~960w on 1000w psu. safe or not? on: November 16, 2017, 12:52:03 PM
already got a 500w power supply.

btw one thing I forgot to mention is that those numbers were taken from the energy meter. GPU-Z is showing about 30-40w less for each card. which of these is right when measuring power for the PSU?
8  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / power strip/terminal yang paling aman untuk miner indo? on: November 16, 2017, 09:12:01 AM
gak tau apa namanya di indonesia. yg kyk gini maksudnya:

saya cuma pake power strip merek LOYAL dengan kapasitas 2500w (pakai auto overload switch), tapi pas tadi saya cek kepalanya sudah panas sekali (tapi belum pernah korslet).

agan-agan biasanya pakai power strip yg mana?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: one gpu lower Mh/s compared to the rest gpu on: November 13, 2017, 02:39:39 PM
maybe different memory type or bad gpu. my money is on the later. got one before, I had to reset to the stock bios and just overclocked it a bit to get 28mh/s max. it's very unstable so changing one setting a little too much can make your rig crashes.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 930~960w on 1000w psu. safe or not? on: November 13, 2017, 08:33:59 AM
alright. guess I'll go take off one gpu and get an extra psu.  Tongue
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Unable to setup 4th GPU in rig on: November 13, 2017, 08:17:25 AM
got this problem before and it turned out to be faulty riser. exact same symptoms (fans not controlled and GPU not detected).

what's weird is that the risers all worked when I tried them one by one. but when I switched around, a gpu with that one riser always get problem.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 930~960w on 1000w psu. safe or not? on: November 13, 2017, 08:09:41 AM
PSU is EVGA 1000GQ. running 24/7.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: anyone using 1070 on nicehash? on: November 11, 2017, 02:39:28 PM
Why use Nicehash, especially being a member of this forum? It has tons of information to help you make most of your card.

just gathering information before I decide what to buy for my next rig. rx 580 is not an option anymore now that eth can go PoS any day.
read from a local forum that you can get $2 a day per card from there.

I thought I just need 0.1btc to withdraw to any btc wallet (or 0.01 but that's once per week)?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / anyone using 1070 on nicehash? on: November 11, 2017, 01:43:08 PM
how much are you making per day? also what's the power consumption per card?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question for mining rig dual PSU. on: July 20, 2017, 06:58:35 AM
would 2 x 750 PSU be enough for 6 x RX580 8GB rig?

also this have been bothering me for a while. might be a stupid question but don't laugh. what does "on/from/out of the wall" means?  Tongue

Depends if you dual mine or not. I have a 6 card rig with 4 RX 480/580, 1 RX 570 and one 1080. I use an EVGA 1000W P2 with 6 PCI-E connectors for the VGA power inputs only and use an EVGA 750W P2 for the motherboard and all the risers. Dual mining the VGA's draw ~805W and 360W for the motherboard and risers. If you dual mine, you might be able to get two 850W to work, but I would go with the 1000W so you have enough PCI-E connectors for the cards.

Yes, two 750 watts PSU's should be fine as you should be around 900-950 watt total system draw.

I assume you are referring to a rigs power draw when you refer to "at the wall". It usually indicates the user is referring to the fact they are citing figures measured using a power meter placed in-between the PSU's AC input and the outlet itself so as to measure the true total system draw. This is different than others who may cite simply the power reading obtained from software, such as GPUz and its power draw reading. The problem with software readings is they are usually incomplete and only measure part of the total consumption.

Since an "at the wall" measurement includes all the components of a mining rig (GPU, CPU, RAM, Mobo, PSU, HDD or SDD, etc.) you will get the most accurate figures for determining your net profit if you pay for electricity.

thanks both of you. that answer my questions perfectly.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: recommend me a mobo and 4 gpus... on: May 11, 2017, 02:24:38 PM
thanks. I'll just go with ETH for now. first time getting a rig you see, don't want to spend too much.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / recommend me a mobo and 4 gpus... on: May 11, 2017, 01:41:22 PM
...that isn't out of stock everywhere. preferably for $1500 or less.
