1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fractional reserve banking on: April 16, 2013, 09:36:53 AM

Is fractional reserve banking (i.e. lending based on a fractional reserve) incompatible with BTC?

This seems evil from the get go...
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's an average mine rate for most people?? on: April 16, 2013, 09:35:27 AM
There are some that post their satisfaction with 100mh/s and others reaching for 5gh/s. For a personal mining setup, what is considered average, above average, etc??

I guess I'm curious of a tier list for this community, perhaps there's already thread...

I guess it depends on what you want to achieve. I can follow up with a more adequate response if you give a more details.

So 3 7950s on 1050w, what about 4 on a 1200w (gold rated)?

Or would that be pushing it...

3 cards. You may be able to get away with 4 cards if you under volt - get a electricity energy meter plug and check how much 3 cards consume when you under volt and make sure to take measurements when your box is at full load.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts (new topics or replies).

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- Newbies cannot upload their own avatars.
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. (The system automatically checks every 10 minutes and promotes people as appropriate.)

One post to send a PM? I have posted but still have PM's disabled - have the rules changed or does the forum take some time to lift the restrictions on your account?
