1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10x to 100x potential: STRAKS (Masternode coin) on: July 09, 2018, 08:53:51 PM
In some respects following on Twitter doesn't mean much, it's just a matter of clicking "Follow".

However, Straks is being traded on HitBTC, which is currently the 6th largest exchange by volume. Straks is an up-and-coming coin with a fast network and rock-solid client, I would be concerned for the big guys if they weren't watching this one.

I've been using these guys since the beginning to build up my stash of STRAKS. They've shown nothing but the utmost respect for depositor's funds and I have never had an issue depositing or withdrawing. The power of intra-day reinvestment and compounding is probably the best kept secret in crypto right now.

I basically toss all of my MN rewards in and then withdraw when I have enough to start a new MN of my own. It's been working fantastically and with zero issue.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: January 15, 2018, 11:43:39 PM
Is there any mechanism in place that helps STRAKS deal with volatility? I think especially in the e-commerce space that's a big problem and maybe a stable coin will have much better chances to be successful in that area.

Right now the supply is somewhat low so volatility is determined by supply and demand. As more coins are dispersed through the system and STAK starts showing up on higher-volume exchanges, the price should start to even out a little more.

Tried to post an item in the store just now.

* Validation error on the form because I can't use dashes (-) in listing descriptions.  Undecided
* Server error when I uploaded a picture from my phone because it was too large. Undecided
* Have to refresh the captcha several times on each page because it's unreadable or the numbers are out of the frame. Undecided
* Unable to post the item because I get a cloudflare timeout error after submit. Undecided

None of these are insurmountable, but I wanted to point it out to the devs as reasons why I can't list stuff.

So is there any reason NOT to sell it for ~$2-$3? Is there any reason for the market to say its' worth more than that?

Seems like a lame duck to invest in.

Holders of over $1000 worth of ZRCoin will be able to convert their shares to equity in the company (and thus earn dividends).

I'm not sure if this is the only way to get stock in the company, but I'm holding enough to keep that option open. I'd imagine the price will rise if/when people discover that this is the only way to invest in the company. Musical chairs for equity seekers near the end of the run, price will skyrocket.

i would like to try to contact their support too, can you provide the link or email or anything here?

Their support email is literally at the bottom of their website. And you wonder why I haven't posted here before...

I am using my real name...

I'm just a hodler and a watcher and it's worked out well for me in the crypto space. I can't imagine that if I did work for ZrCoin or Waves that I would say any of the things that I did. The account issue I emailed them about was an embarrassing mistake on my part that I'd rather not get into. Anyways, if you don't want your coins, dump them on the market. I will gladly buy them at the discount.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][ANN] ZrCoin [11|05—09|06]Commodity-backed blockchain on: July 24, 2017, 02:00:44 AM
Just wanted to let you guys know that I contacted support about three weeks ago with an account issue I had. I wasn't expecting much but I did get a very satisfactory response about a week and a half later. Someone is on the other end, but maybe they are busy.

I suspect that building a factory or two is a pretty big deal and it takes a lot of manpower to get up an running. From reading the whitepaper I got the impression that the factory(s) were the primary importance here, not promotion of the coin. We bought into this with the understanding that we were being promised a $2.80 return at the end of the term. I'm going to start worrying if they don't start paying out then.

In the meantime, you'll also have read in the whitepaper that redemption of coins is also the only way to obtain stock in the company. I ended up buying a bunch of coins at less than the ICO price on the market, so now I have that option. It's actually in the ZrCoin team's best interest to keep prices low and buy them back at the face value, because then fewer people will collect the minimum 358 coins it takes to buy stock (and they won't have to give up equity). Remember, these are not only options to buy synthetic zirconium, but options to buy company shares. I suspect that we're going to see a large rise in coin value once the music stops and equity investors attempt to pick up enough coins to grab shares in the company.

Anyways, this isn't your traditional ICO investment, they aren't trying to promote a platform or encourage adoption, they wanted to fund a factory and they did it by selling options on the end product of their manufacture. It would be nice to hear about the progress they are making to that goal, but honestly I don't think that was ever part of the deal.
