1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zencash: Excellent potential? on: November 08, 2018, 04:07:32 PM
Zencash was a great name. Horizen is such a terrible name.  Baffling decision

I don`t think so. On the contrary, the new name shows that new horizons, prospects and opportunities have opened up before the project. It sounds more convincing and grand. Zencash was associated precisely with the coin, a measure of value in the sale, while Horizen shows the scale of not only the coin, but also the project as a whole.

Agree to disagree, I guess. Horizen sounds like a cell phone company Cheesy

I dont think so you just need to import wallet from hold to huzu.

https://huzu.io/huzu/how-to-swap-hold-for-huzu/

You just lost possible PoS rewards by not swapping ASAP.

i jumped the gun a bit, had my hold on stakeunited where it apparently swapped there. so all good (except i have so few HUZU lmao)

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Help with these cryptocurrencies on: June 07, 2018, 05:41:55 PM
Pylon seems like a decent hold for a 5-10x imo, low cap and supply. Never got into it (yet at least) but have eyed it
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICOs of 2018? on: May 19, 2018, 10:59:07 PM
don't really like any of the icos atm, will do bigbom for a flip tho and prolly imusify
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 5 coins u need to hold on: May 19, 2018, 10:39:40 PM
BTC
ETH
WAN
MAN
ZRX

Other than that, just flip shit in szn and use Bitmex.

Edit: some other exchange/dex coins too, all of these are better than amost anything else given it's a good ex/dex and token has value

What I don't understand is what criteria you use to arrive at this list, I know for sure any wise investor would add BTC and Ethereum to their portfolio. I don't know why you picked Wanchain and no NEO, Matrix is doing very fine  for investors but don't know if it is going to take the leap like NEO did.

Critieria is that they are relatively "safe" (apart from MAN, the moonshot of these 5), while still having some (possibly a lot) room to run. I pick Wanchain over NEO for that reason. I view the NEO train as missed. Ofc you can maybe make a 5x or something on it from here, but WAN can run more if alt market turns bull.

I'm not advocating having only 5 coins in your portfolio, but i do think it's wise to limit your long-term holds to something around that number and that these 5 would probably give you more gains than having only top 10 marketcap coins for that.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 5 ETH to invest for long-term on: May 19, 2018, 10:23:12 PM
If you had 5 ETH, where would you invest for long-term 2 years hodl benefit?

WAN

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how to distinguish the good ico, ico scam on: May 19, 2018, 10:20:41 PM
invest in low cap icos is the most important thing, and ideally get in before ico, either through pool or public pre-sale. if they're trying to raise above 20 million i'll catch it on exchange instead. other than that: clear purpose of token, good team, whitepaper etc.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Alts are being held back by BTC on: May 16, 2018, 06:40:49 PM
actually there is notthing strange about this, altcoins have always been dominated by btc since the first time they were born, btc's value is too big that it has controlled the market all the time, and every year, there will be a time when altcoins is dumped because of BTC dropped, so altcoins can never get out of BTC's control as long as BTC is still the best cryptocurrency on the world.

yep. BTC _is_ crypto, so it only makes sense that promisecoins riding its coattails goes down if it turns bearish.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Favorite Coins Outside of top 100 on: May 10, 2018, 01:05:14 AM

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next big ICO on: May 10, 2018, 12:55:35 AM
Do your own research.

Are you expecting that someone will give you the "next big" ICO? No.

Expect those people will just come here and endorse their upcoming ICO's and will say bla bla bla this is the next big thing.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HOW WILL THE WORLD CUP EFFECT CRYPTOCURRENCY? on: May 08, 2018, 01:57:04 PM
everyone will be too busy watching and betting on world cup to bother with cryptos for this period, so dumping across the board
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 5 coins u need to hold on: May 07, 2018, 10:43:36 PM
From these 5 coins only ethereum and bitcoin are profitable to hold, other coins are useless for me. In crypto is much more better coins which will be more profitable than WAN or MAN

Such as?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 5 coins u need to hold on: May 07, 2018, 10:40:39 PM
Coin that I hold there are several types, all coins are result from bounty campaign, namely monetha (MTH), spectre.ai (SXDT and SXUT), STK Token and titanium bar (TBAR).

yeah again not the thread to shill your garbage

Hey,
You're a funny guy.
You open a thread shilling your coins (you put BTC, ETH, and then some unknown coins you're shilling MAN and WAN...) and after that you insult people answering whith which coin they are holding.

Alright maybe that was out of line Cheesy Hope he will survive my rudeness lol

MAN and WAN are not unknown coins tho, neither is ZRX, if they are to you then maybe you should widen your horizon past top 10 market caps (ZRX is 31st, WAN 34th, MAN just out of the top 100 for now but a hugely ambitious project that soon enough should be high in there).

Also I'm not saying you should only hold 5 coins, just that if you only held these you'd probably do well. So tbh a pretty pointless thread (not unlike 99% of other topics here) but its clickbaityness has made it my second most popular topic or something so i guess i should post like this from now on Tongue
