Crypto is a speculative market and believe it or not we are in a bubble. When EOS with no mainnet and not projects being developed is being estimated having a market cap of like 6 billion, what else could it be if not a bubble? Invest rationally people!

What is going on is that nobody really knows what is going on. Old guys who have been expert chartists have been for months now claiming that the bear is at end and we are in depression stage of the market cycle, but they have been proven wrong time and again. So truly, nobody knows.

Keep those 500$ to your self and do not fomo yet, as the market has not yet changed the trend and it might take another few weeks if not atleast months for the bulls to take over from the bears. In this time that you get, start studying on how you can invest in crypto so you do not have to ask anyone and make an informed decision when the right time comes.

Who gives a crap about what those people are rating. Bitcoin was is and will remain the king of all alts. If you want to make your investments based on their ratings, then best is to invest in china based proejcts, there are actually a few good ones- neo, elastos, nkn to name a few.

Zcash is the leader when it comes to tech, but the problem for average investor is that due to its private/anonymous features, most governments will ban them. But zcash investors invest into it for its privacy reasons only. One thing I almost hate about is that 15% of it was premined. That leaves a lot for the founders/investors.

I see that a few people have recommended for you to buy EOS. In my opinion it is/could be the worst coin you could put your money into. They are already changing the system only after the mainnet got released only couple of weeks ago. Probably it would be best for you to dyor and then make your mind.

I just found out about the project and its being trade(actually looks more like being accumulated) at coinex. Also they got listed at houbi, but what surprises me is that there have been no updates since march on github? Anyone care to explain?

Hodling does not work in bear season. Only people who witnessed the last year spikes in prices in alts and btc are advocates of hodling. I would only hodl solid projects in which i bel and those i would hodl if even they drop 80%, for example byteball. If you intend to hodl, come back when there are signs of trend change from bear to bulls.

There is a reason that most projects take upto couple of months to distribute the bounties. The no one reason is that they have to calculate the tokens that have to be distributed and since there are multiple campaigns it takes a lot of time. Second is the avoid bounty hunters to market dump the price of the token.

Did I read that right? Did you say eth is dead based on your observation that the price has gone up and down a lot lately? I have no clue why you said so, it has been the most stable coin among all other coins in this bear till now. Do some research about other coins and you will know eth has held its ground.

No one can say for sure. But if we do drop further from 5800USD, next support is at 5000 only. And if we somehow manage to go beyond 5k, then there is no support till 3000. However I think we will go sideways from here onwards and see some good alt pumps.

There have been action taken on some ICO's that have cheated people, but only ico's which are considered to be security are penalized by SEC. These days to get over this problem, most projects do not even do a ICO, they opt for private sales.

Right now is a really good time to get abck into bitcoin. The thing is that there is so much fud than most people thing we are going to 3k, markets usually do the opposite of what people think. So I guess, it is the right time to get some skin in the game.

You should check out the use case, the team, advisors and the community that is backing the coin before buying it. Also its a good idea to read the whitepaper, usually you can get an idea from the whitepaper if the team is serious and professional or not.

Crypto is going mainstream as it is lately been shilled a lot on television. So the masses are getting to know about it. But most of the news related to bitcoin and crypto is told in a negative aspect so to make people think that crypto is for criminals. Same pattern everywhere.

You shpuld not be depending on any one platform to get your information about ICO's or any new crypto related projects. Best place is here at bitcointalk, then there are other places like twiiter, telegram and discord channels of the particular project that you may be interested in.

ICO investments do not work in bear market when everyone is negative. Best time to invest in ICO's is during the bull run when noobs are buying everything that is being thrown their way. This said, the trend has now changed, most good projects opt for private sales rather than ICO's these days.
|
|
|
Majority of the projects which have held ICO have been transparent in disclosing their team members and also have had whitepapers. If you are investing in a project without a whitepaper and a face behind the team, its the dumbest thing one can possibly do in crypto.

Bitcoin is sitting at a very good support at this time, however I personally think that we have not seen enough pain yet in the market. people are still hopeful and holding their crypto assets, not enough people have lost hope yet, so i think more dump is to come.

What is your purpose of investing in altcoins? If it is to grow the number of bitcoins that you have, then bear market is not a good time as most alts keep on plunging during these times. However if you believe in any alt coin which you think will be used in the future and is at a really good price to be bought at, then maybe buy it.
