1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ipoMiner - Profitable multipool targeting new coins + merged mining! on: December 15, 2014, 06:08:01 PM
Any ideas how long it will take before I will get some Feathercoins from ipoMiner? I think I have been mining for two days.

Not many people are mining Feathercoin with us currently, relative to the difficulty of mining it. Most of our Neoscrypt miners are mining UFO. The last FTC block that the pool successfully found was on Dec 12 6:19 PM - you'll receive FTC from your mining whenever the next block is found.

Thanks! Smiley

Henri.

How to compile pooler cpuminer 2.3.3 for 32-bit Windows and 64-bit Windows with MinGW?

Do these instructions apply for 2.3.3, too? http://pastebin.com/p2cRgHxd

Why there are different dll files in 2.3.3 than in 2.3.2? For example, there is libwinpthread-1.dll in 2.3.3 and pthreadGC2.dll in 2.3.2? Also, the size of the dll files are different...

How can I compile a statically linked version of CPUMiner? I have heard that one only has to edit Makefile somehow. How?

Thanks!

Henri.

If I compile CPUMiner statically linked, do I still have to provide the library files along with the binary (minerd)? Or are the libraries going to be inside the minerd binary?

Henri.

--time-limit      maximum time (s) to mine before exiting the program.

Would be cool to see --time-limit parameter in cpuminer, too.

Thanks for cpuminer! Smiley

I have two small wishes:
- add "--shares" parameter, as seen in CGMiner/BFGMiner, to quit the program after n number of shares.
- add "--sharelog" parameter, as seen in CGMiner/BFGMiner, to log the mining process to a text file.

BFGMiner's README.txt:
--sharelog <arg>    Append share log to file
--shares <arg>      Quit after mining N shares (default: unlimited)

Antivirus software are always whining about bitcoin miners like cgminer. Can you somehow modify cgminer so that antivirus software won't whine about it anymore? It's annoying.

How can I disable Intel GPU without using "cgminer -n" at all? I would like to automatically disable Intel GPU without having to manually check up the numbers with -n switch...

My BitMinter Wishlist
  • Passing parameters to Bitminter: <a href="/client/bitminter.jnlp?username=MyName&workername=MyWorkerName&workerpassword=MyWorkerPassword&enginestart=true"><img class="right" src="/images/start.png" /></a>
  • Possibility to give different bitcoin/namecoin addresses for different workers.

Thanks! Cool

I have several bitcoin addresses and I would like to have different workers for them:
- worker_1: bitcoin_address_1
- worker_2: bitcoin_address_2
- worker_3: bitcoin_address_3
and so on.

Is this possible to implement without creating several user accounts?

This is not possible currently. I am thinking about some ideas along those lines though, for the future.

Thanks for the info.

Is it possible to attach several computers to one worker at once or should I use a different worker for different computers?

- Can I use BitMinter without registering an account (only using bitcoin address as a username)? If not, will this feature be implemented in the future?

No, and it probably won't be implemented either. Just use some random words/characters as user name if you want to be anonymous.

- Can I make a webpage with a link/button "Start mining bitcoins for (bitcoin address)" and after clicking that link/button the BitMinter will start without asking further questions or needing to change any settings?

This is planned, but not ready yet.

Good to know. Thanks! Cool

I want to know why dual/triple... cards of different manufactures wont be working with cgminer.

Here is the thread from what I mean, I think its a bug in the cgminer app or they dont wont work with this environment.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to pool mine litecoins unregistered? on: June 09, 2013, 02:22:21 PM
Is there a pool for mining litecoins without having to register an account? The user name would be just the litecoin address where the litecoins will go. A bit like 50BTC (no need to register):
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool-de.50btc.com:3333 -u 1CerjKRRy7fXZUbH9BAM9GfCoMiTUKmkVa -p testaus -o stratum+tcp://pool-us.50btc.com:3333 -u 1CerjKRRy7fXZUbH9BAM9GfCoMiTUKmkVa -p testaus -o stratum+tcp://pool-ru.50btc.com:3333 -u 1CerjKRRy7fXZUbH9BAM9GfCoMiTUKmkVa -p testaus --disable-rejecting --verbose --shares 10 --sharelog sharelog.txt

Is there a service likes this for litecoins?
