1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Traumatic brain injury has left me with multiple seed phrases please help! on: June 05, 2017, 04:15:46 PM
At character 35 there could be a 5 or it could be an S.  I know you said L or K at position 34

85 characters is a bit odd...

Could be a 34 char public address + 51 char private key in WIF format or a 33 char pub address + 52 char compressed private key in WIF format.

Is there a 5 at char 35? or an L or K at position 34??

However if I count out 34 characters that is the complete first line (There are two) and then on the next line is where the 5 (or S) starts.  5 (or S) is the first character of the second line.

First line = 34 characters

Second line starts with a 5 or an S and completes the remaining 51 characters.

And the entire thing there is no part that only has characters A - F

Much thanks!!!

Your transaction uses a fee of only: Fee per byte 136.181 sat/B

Given that recommended fees are well in excess of 200 sat/Byte... that transaction probably isn't going to confirm any time soon:
The current best transaction fees 252 Satoshis/byte | 0.00252 BTC/KB
The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 450 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.

Your options are RBF (Replace By Fee) if the wallet supports it... or CPFP (Child Pays For Parent) if you control either of the addresses that are sent outputs.... or you can attempt to hammer the ViaBTC TX Accelerator at the top of the hour and try to get in the first 100 txes submitted...

Good luck

EDIT: Because it was so close to the hour... I stalked the accelerator and got your transaction submitted Wink Hopefully when ViaBTC mine their next block your transaction will get included... should take less than 12 hours... I think they're currently averaging a block every 4-6 hours or something...

Thank you!

Sorry for the delay.

I have gone through all of my seeds.  Found a bunch of empty wallets but with the transaction history showing correctly.  Only found one of my wallets with a balance which is where the above tx came from.

Only thing I have left is what looks like a private key except I havent found any formats that support it and it has 85 characters.  0 - 9 and
A - Z.

The first character is either a 1 or a lower case l.  I thought for a moment that maybe I listed the address and then the key but I have tried putting the first part as an address into block explorer and havent been able to find anything.

Are all BTC addresses 34 characters?

Or an private keys that wiykd be 85 characters long?

The transaction from Multibit to Bitcoin Knox went perfectly and quickly because they had the miner fees set right.

Its the tx from my Bitcoin Know to Coinbase.

This morning I woke up and the tx was back still with 0 conf and it says this like its not broadcating anymore.  Is there a way to rebroadcast?  Does Coinbase broadcast?

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can miner confirm a stuck tx for me? First time back to BTC after TBI. on: May 17, 2017, 09:14:23 AM
If you look at my previous posts / threads I had had TBi and am just able to get back into BTC with some help from you guys here.

I tried to send a tx to Coinbase but its been so long I forgot to raise my miner fee.  My tx was stuck.  I ran bitcoin-qt.exe -zapwallettxes and the tx dissapeared and the BTC was back in my wallet.  This morning the tx is back but it still has 0 conf and it says its not being broadcast anymore.  Details below.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Its TBI guy again. Different subject. on: May 17, 2017, 09:07:00 AM
So I revered one of my wallets and first sent them to my Bitcoin Knox wallet.  That went fine and confirmed fast.

Then I sent a tx to Coinbase.  Its been so long I didnt know and didnt raise my miner fee.

So after some research i tried bitcoin-qt.exe -zapwallettxes.  It re scanned and my transaction disappeared and my balance was back in my wallet.  Today I woke up and the tx is back with 0 conf and the btc balance is gone.  But its not broadcasting.  What do I do here?  Wont Coinbase keep broadcasting it?

tx deails below.

Thanks for the info.

I am trying to convert my old chicken scratch hand writing at the moment while Multibit is scanning a 24 word phrase I got to work.  Its amazing how my handwriting has changed since my TBI.  I cant believe anyone ever was able to read my old handwriting.  I have the word list so I have something to go by.

I did find one 24 word phrase paper that only has 4 numbers on it not in the xxxx/xx format.  Its just 4 numbers.   And of course its the easiest to read so Ill try that next and hope it works.

I will keep you updated.

Thanks again for the help.

Yes thats me.  Not trying to multi account or cause problems or break the rules.  I tried to register and reocver previous passwords for an hour and this site kept telling me every time I had to wait to log in again and when it said it was sending me an email I would never get it.

Just looking for help Im sorry if Ive done anything wrong.

OMG you guys were right I think.

I just tried it with Multibit HD and I got a check mark when I entered my 12 words and another check mark when I entered the numbers as the date stamp and it found the wallet.

Right now it says "Wallet loaded successfully" and "Connected tothe Bitcoin network successfully" and "Synchronizing wallet"

After this I will try my 18 and 24 word ones.

Thanks for all of the help and advice everyone!

To me these numbers dont look like date stamps although I dont remember what a Multibit date stamp looks like.  Could they be "derivation path" numbersOne of the iOS wallets I tried was Copay and when you try to import a wallet with a seed phrase under advanced options it has an option for "derivation path" right now on a blank wallet it says m/44'/0'/0'.

As an example and Im pretty sure nobody could do anything with this one of my phrase sheets has 2557/35 on it.  Does that look like a Multibit date stamp?

I already have Multibit HD on my computer although not sure which version its probably an outdated version.  I will see if I can figure it out.
