1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post your deleted Syscoin posts here on: September 03, 2014, 09:16:39 PM
My god is crypto FULL of impatient CHILDREN!!

You all complaining sound SOOOOOOOOOOOO fricken ignorant and childish, expecting miracles and perfection overnight.  You INVEST in something and expect your investment to double over night.......go find a pnd scam coin and roll your dice on them.  Whether this coin succeeds or fails it had LONG term plans and if you put any of your fucking money into this, you invested in a long term project and if you invested with other intentions or expectations, you are just a dumb ass.......plain and simple!

I would agree. I wouldn't even expect profits for at least a year in any non P&D coin. Also people are complaining saying it's a clone coin and nothing new is in the wallet when all the functionality is there via console. For those who are noobs and cannot use the console, keep in mind that it doesn't even matter if there is anything in the GUI for the marketplace as the main intent was to interface to the blockchain for marketplace etc... via web code. A wallet's GUI just doesn't have enough visual space to even make a good marketplace. Even if they add it back to the QT wallet's GUI interface, it doesn't really matter since the main intent wasn't to even use the wallet for marketplace usage. There have already been people showing what can be done with it via web code.

The coin works fine. Go develop some web based marketplaces with it and call it a day.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post your deleted Syscoin posts here on: September 03, 2014, 09:05:44 PM

i think that is because they are also running another coin at the same time. check the team roster for kittehcoin, they are working on that at the same time

Dano has nothing to do with kittehcoin anymore. It is being developed by someone else now.

I haven't. I've been supporting you for a long time. Listen to your investors more. Done with you.

A long time? The coin isn't even a month old, let alone at least a year old which would qualify for long term.....

It doesn't work "enforcecheckpoint=false"  Huh

Yes it does. Just give it some time. Mine took about 15 minutes after entering that into my config.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MANDATORY UPDATE] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: August 29, 2014, 12:26:51 PM
Do you have any kind of backup running that could possibly contain a slightly older version of your wallet.dat file prior to the issues?

I run acronis so I have something but, deciding to do a full disk recover for a few bucks worth of coins may not be worth it.  Thought of this, on the fence.

You don't need to do a full disk recover with acronis, you should be able to browse the image with acronis and extract whatever file you want.

Does all feel very slow atm - really hope this next release actually turns up and does what its advertised to do.

I wouldn't agree that it's slow. The coin is only two weeks old.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 25, 2014, 08:44:39 PM
@DEV, this coin is a long-term project, but can you post the roadmap and timelines in detail and do it as planed, it will lead this coin to the right way,  it's very very important in current situation!

Please look at what EXO did, it hit more serious issue than SYS, but they have a roadmap and timeline now, less FUD and less impatient on its community.

They did post a roadmap, it was several pages ago. Search is your friend.

Any working pool  besides syscoinme?  lifeforce  and  the other one assign  very high diff (100-1k) to my worker (4 MHS)....

syscoinme works great for me and they have a vardiff port as well as several ports giving a wide range of fixed diffs.

Soooo. 1.5k BTC.. Nice.

Wow the last price in cryptsy is 0.00000958 btc.   Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

You'd think that Mintpal and Bittrex would reflect this price as well... why such a discrepancy?

Same question why only in Cryptsy?

because no one is trading there, it is just big vern himself
I have been trading there. buying low, selling high.. repeat.... building a bigger bag.

Wallet 0.1.3 Windows EXE
Windows 7 x64 Home Premium Service Pack 1 with all current updates
AMD FX-8150 8 Core CPU
ASUS Crosshair V Formula Thunderbolt Motherboard with UEFI BIOS 1702 or maybe 1703 (whichever was newest last month)
16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM

I removed the previous wallet, backed up my wallet.dat file saved my .conf and peers.dat then deleted the whole Syscoin folder.
Ran the new wallet as administrator with none of the prior files restored. Ran fine and sync'd the first time.
Restored ONLY wallet.dat and ran it as administrator again, got the error that means corrupt wallet.dat - reran it as administrator with the -salvagewallet and that worked that time.
Exited the wallet software, waited a few minutes, then tried to run it as administrator again - showed splash screen for a moment and said verifying blockchain, then vanished except the system tray icon.
Opened my task manager and ended the process tree.
Ran in as administrator again - started to load, no GUI but back in the system tray.
Saved wallet.dat and nuked the Syscoin folder.
Created Syscoin folder and copied my wallet.dat to it.
Ran it as administrator again - it synced fine and wallet was ok.
Closed it and reran as administrator - started to load, no GUI but back in the system tray.

For me, the wallet has the same problem where it can be run one time but will fail if it is run again, unless the Syscoin folder is nuked.
I did not try it on any of my other machines or Windows versions.

Perhaps there's some commonality among those of us with the GUI problem. Might be CPU brand, CPU number of cores, Windows Premium instead of regular, installed version of service pack, UEFI BIOS, or who knows...

So, maybe others with a malfunctioning Windows EXE version of the wallet can include a bit of basic system information, to see if the issue lies in the hardware config or the installed Windows particulars or whatever. It could be a dead end, but no harm trying.

Run it with -reindex for now and it should work.

I just want to point out that this crash is purely the result of impatient whiny people. You expect everything to be perfect from the get go and you want no risk. From what i see they have fixed or are fixing the issues.

I bet half these kids cried to mama when BF4 was released and so full of bugs and crashing non stop, calling it the end of the world, saying they'll never buy an EA product again etc... Then a few weeks later when the bugs were worked out, they love it, say it's the best thing ever, and buy all the expansion packs...... When Syscoin is solid and taking off, most of them will be back in it like nothing ever happened.

And you are right about impatient people. These are people trading on emotions rather than a solid trading plan etc... The only reason why the price is as low as it is, is simply because of impatient people dumping their coins out of emotional bias. They are killing it for themselves on their own.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 02:38:20 PM

I, like many don't have to re-download the blockchain. The amount of people with this problem is a small amount.

So if you close your wallet and reopen it, it shows up?  Not just in the system tray?

Of course. I'm running it on two different Win 7 x64 boxes with no issues with needing to delete and redownload anything. I've opened and closed my wallet 100 times trying to break it to no avail. Many others have done the same. Getting ready to test it on some vista x32 and a vista x64 sitting here.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 02:08:30 PM

Actually wallet kinda works.  Having to re-download the blockchain when you close and reopen a wallet isn't right.  Otherwise it just sits in the system tray and can't be accessed.

id say the wallet doesnt work.
thats not how wallets work.

WTF is this fail?!

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 01:40:48 PM

the coins launch time was delayed. then it was forkedtwice. the best hing was moolah should have allowed a refund when the coin did not work at the first time. after two forks. wallet still has to be restarted. and blockchain data deleted before it works again. seriously? should we just acceptthis wallet is functional? search buttons arent working on alias. sometimes marketplace disappears. fuck even the copy features arent working in the wallet. its a total disaster. but we are trusting devs to deliver what was pomised. now if they didnt moolah said they will allow more 48 hours to devs. are those 48 hours over now right?

i have invested in this coin. but truth is truth

Does the wallet have some issues. Sure it does. But it also works. The amount of people who need to delete blockchain data to get their wallet restarted are a few, most people's wallets work fine in that regard. Mine works great in win7 x64 and linux. I've restarted it 100 times or more to try and break it. The reality is that everyone's hardware and OS patch levels are different... There is no way for a small group of guys to know for sure if some people won't have initial issues. You actually should expect to have a few. Great thing is that the dev's are working to fix those people's problems. Not only are they fixing them but they are fixing them quickly. Big companies with huge teams of programmers and far more money behind them often take weeks to fix shit.

Yes some of the gui for the marketplace is broken, but the marketplace DOES work via command line. Is this optimal? No. But does it work? Yes. Can these gui issues be fixed? Sure. Also the marketplace in the wallet is really the lite version of it. They do plan on improving the gui, but the real gem is the standalone web interface for people to integrate into their sites.

If anything, my only issues with the coin is the cost of using the features. The prices for activating an alias etc are insane. For the majority of people who will be mining this coin on a couple of boxes on their desk with gpus.. It will take FOREVER for those people to even mine a few thousand SYS. These prices only work for those of us with tons of hashpower or btc available to buy some sys with. For new comers to crypto, which is the majority of the untapped market, these prices create a major hurdle for them to use the platform. Granted in 90 days these costs will be far less than they are now, but even then it's still very high.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 01:18:52 PM

I see no reason why now, people should be asking for a refund. They're gonna meet the deadline and pass muster. The wallet works. The network works. People got what they paid for. No promises of hiccup free launch. People should take responsibility for their own buying decisions on an unknown currency

^ this!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 01:15:22 PM

wtf is FUD, it's fucking cliche, don't you understand that people are worried they loose what they have paid? 1500 BTC in game, don't keep ignore it and do something, your public credibility is on 0 lever(SCAM level) so do something about it. damn.

Oh come on now, 1500BTC spread across a lot of people is a piss drop in a bucket in the world of investing. Besides nobody should be worried this early in the game. If people are worried this early and dumping thereby causing the price to go down, that is their fault. Stop being pussies and hold your coin.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 01:08:46 PM

The coin reached 380 few hours ago.

380!

This is ALARMING!
Give us exit walls or this coin is OVER and you go down in history as most unprofessionals devs ever and Syscoin will become synonymous to failure in crypto world.

If the devs really aren't planning to save their own coin I really hope that Moolah will do the one smart thing and cancel the ICO.

But why has it reached 380? Because of people with their panties in a wad, dumping their coin instead of holding it.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 01:03:28 PM

Well, I was saying this before it was popular. Does it make me a hipster? Cheesy

No it doesn't because hipsters don't do things first before it's popular. They follow others after it has become popular and feed off of the people who did it before it was popular.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 12:58:30 PM
hey DANOSPHERE, why do you keep deleting my posts about the buy support being taken out and gone? its the truth? why are you trying to hide it bud?

freefall from here down to 200sats with about 1.3btc supporting it.

if your all about transparency, you will confirm the 250btc buy walls @ presale price have been eaten

EDIT: so with the 59m premine and the 250BTC of sys brought buy buy support, and the 122btc brought by moolah, between the syscoin devs and moolah currently own about 1.5billion out of 3billion of the syscoins. bahahahahah shit.

So who are you and what makes you so special? Why are you even in here when you have your own coin? Do you have a stake in this coin? If not, GTFO and troll somewhere else.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 20, 2014, 12:55:03 PM
I think you guys are doing a pretty good job Dano.
Agreed. Great work dev team Wink

One question to everyone.. If you don't like the coin, just stop posting here and move on with your lives. Have you got something better to do? MantisCoinDev? Why are you here saying negative things.. Truly, why? Are you trying to help others? Are you gloating? I would love to know WHY.

They can't stop posting here because this is trolltalk not bitcointalk. Many folks around here have serious problems with narcissism and feel that they are so special that they post in threads that don't apply to them. Personally, I have a hard time even taking this place seriously and feel that it is often a black eye to the crypto world. I think that if you do not have a stake in this coin or an interest in it, then they should GTFO and mind their own business.
