1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [NEWS] Syrian fighter jet shot down (JUN-18-2017) on: June 20, 2017, 05:35:46 PM
The US are currently concentrating air forces around Syria in probable preparation of the conflict going hot in the air after the Russians said they'll treat US planes as hostile.

The Russians however don't actually need to scramble fighters against the Americans. As far as I know they have some S400 AA missile complexes in Syria ATM, which would be more than enough to take down some US plane and create a huge diplomatic crisis.

The downed aircraft was an SU-22 fighter bomber. While a relatively good aircraft and pretty fitting for taking out rebels and terrorists in ground attack missions, I doubt it can be a real threat to an F-18 since they claimed that the plane was shot in self defense?!

Did you notice how the biggest concern of Sky News last night was convincing the viewers how "These are the actions of a small group of extremists, and not all Muslims are the same" and also the video from the pub, where one guy in the end said "Muslim cunts" and they were so concerned and ashamed that they censored this part in the later airings. This is exactly the kind of attitude that brought us here where we are today. We keep willingly giving up ground to Islamists...
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If you kill cow, then you will be killed. on: May 31, 2017, 01:14:18 PM
Why kill someone because he has killed a cow, that's very stupid, if the cos is a god why doesn't it avenge itself from being slaughtered, whatever god tells another to avenge it is a toothless god.

Because the cow is a merciful god Grin It doesn't feel the need for vengeance, but it's lowly human acolytes and zealots are not on this high level of thinking yet as it seems.

Can you imagine these people here in the west attacking cattle farms and meet processing plants? Wonder if they'd go as far as suicide bombing attacks in the name of the cow god.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: May 30, 2017, 11:31:55 AM
The past few weeks I've been asked about BTC left and right. I mean they are generally asking about crypto currencies but they only know about BTC so they call them all bitcoins. Everyone is interested all of a sudden, even elderly people. They may be stuck in the past for most things, but you show them there's money to be made and they'll come into the 21st century pretty quickly. I'm beginning to get concerned if this huge growth we are experiencing is healthy.

More like that futuristic movie by Woody Allen, I think they really lived in such domes there. As far as I remember it was called The Sleeper or something like that.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Stuck with These Alts? on: May 27, 2017, 10:38:25 PM
If you've spread your money across many alts then hold them and wait. Each one of them will probably pump at its own time and in the end you'll have made your profits. What's the point in selling now? Everything is red on the board. If you already have coins that you thought were sound investment a few days ago, why would you change them now for other coins that are also getting dumped and on top of that also lose money in the process.

You looking for local Australian websites. Give these a try:

https://bitcoin.com.au/

https://btradeaustralia.com/

https://www.coinspot.com.au/trade/btc

Though I don't see a reason you shouldn't use the international exchanges like Polo.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: if you woke up in 2037, what's the first thing you'd google? on: May 25, 2017, 10:32:52 AM
I'll probably google the political situation in my country and whether I need a burka or a turban to show myself in public. Maybe check how to say basic things in Arabic or Chinese, whichever of the two cultures is now the dominant in the region.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OBAMA is the best President in the world on: May 24, 2017, 02:38:16 PM
Sorry to burst your bubble but your title is incorrect.

OBAMA is WAS the best President in the world

Now it's correct. Other than that I wish you and your hero former president all the best Smiley and I clearly can't agree with your title, but I won't dive into why I certainly don't think he was the best.

One thing I'll have to admit to Obama is that he looks good for his 55 years. I wouldn't give him more than 45.

Cute to see you find your God. Now, please tell us, why are you addressing him your personal love letter via this forum, friend? He is unlikely to read it like this.

Who knows. Maybe he took his huge presidential savings, invested them into crypto and visits bitcointalk daily Cheesy
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jiggers-Chigoe Fleas on: May 24, 2017, 02:30:05 PM
Worst thing is there's never guarantee that they've taken them all out. Like trichinella spiralis - the parasite whose eggs develop in the muscle tissue of the animal/human between the fibers and they basically have to cut your muscles to small pieces and search for them and even then they might leave a few behind.

Ugh! Like normal fleas weren't bad enough. I hate these things. I get them once a year or so when I go hiking or if I have to go to the basement of the building. We spray against them regularly but we just can't get rid of these nasty creatures.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe in aliens? on: May 23, 2017, 10:53:51 AM
You talk about "believing" in aliens like people who say they believe in God. No hard scientific evidence of life outside Earth has been found yet. It's reasonable however to believe there's a high probability of the existence of extraterrestrial life just like you'll have a high chance of winning the lottery if you have several million tickets at your disposal.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Final Four Istanbul 2017 - Today on: May 21, 2017, 01:37:54 PM
I'll be rooting for Olympiacos for one obvious reason. I want the title to return to the EU. Also the Greeks can use some cheering up after having so many financial problems the last 10 years.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][Bounty]: Official SONM project bounty campaign thread on: May 20, 2017, 07:37:16 AM
We need offical confirmation. So can you clearly say that people posting in local alternate won't be eligible to get signature bounty?

I think posts in local sections were only counted if they are in the local SONM ANN thread. Don't quote me on that though, better wait for SONM support to say their word on this.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: May 19, 2017, 07:08:23 AM

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My transactions have been pending for three days on: May 18, 2017, 07:21:38 PM
Higher transaction fees are going to get your transaction approved faster. This is not typical however, the network has been sort of under strain lately, people say it's even under attack.
