1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of minershop.net [SCAM] Lost $1224 USD on: June 09, 2017, 04:00:13 PM
I just listed an antminer on eBay and I saw the advertisment at the bottom of my listing :-

Sponsored Links
minershop.net :-
14TH/s Antminer S9 - The Lowest Price Guarantee‎
Include 180 days Warranty. Free express shipping worldwide.‎

They have the S9 14TH/s listed for $1150 as in stock, ship within 24hrs.

Strangely I spent some time searching eBay worldwide tonight and the best prices I could find on (in stock) 13.5TH/s units was around $3700+ (AUD), and out of warranty (used), due to the current shortage of supply). There are sellers with 13.5TH/s units available for July delivery for $3000+ (AUD).

according to the WHOIS record for the site, it was registered 31.05.2017

The entire site, including the checkout process and password registration is http:80, not SSL (not secure).

Only accepted payment method is bitcoin.

Classic case of too good to be true, site seems very dodgy, so I wouldn't buy anything from them.

I agree that vigillance should be encouraged but the victims of scams aren't to blame.

How many times must this be said here...
NO!

And can the firmware be downgraded on the new units?

Do you know if there is any way to under-clock with the newer auto-tune firmware's?
