1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: January 11, 2018, 03:11:05 PM
Has anybody got notice for Jan 11 to 20

I got 2 of mine in back before Christmas. Earliest I have ever seen them deliver, the other 2 in the same batch got here yesterday. Im in AR.

Scrap'
20
My Jan 21 - 30 was delivered on dec 21. Amazing.

My dec 21-31 was moved to Jan 11-20

It shipped today.

And one board on the ones delivered on dec is dead.

Not complaining as I paid around 7k for 5 s-9s

They are now worth 20k.

Same exact thing happened to my 3 S9's.

I ordered 1 11/28 via DHL and then the next day I ordered 2 more. 1 via UPS 1 via DHL. All 3 were Jan 21-30.

I received both DHL's together on 12/28! And the UPS Jan 21-30 was moved to Jan 11-20.

I am glad I pulled the trigger when I did!

I received my Jan21 Batch yesterday. 2 out of 3.   I ordered 1 on nov 28 thru DHL. The next day 1 DHL, 1 UPS.

Both DHL arrived together yesterday. UPS still has not shipped. Duty tax was $47 per unit.

I reordered, 1 more DHL and 1 UPS..

Paid $219 for the UPS, and its going up?  Shocked

Machines are still available.

Seems that the profits at February will be very limited due to increased difficulty.

You are definitely right about that....

anyone have any speculations on how much per day in February the S9 might make ?

Currently it makes 0.00267430 BTC/day , 0.0748804 / month....

I always used UPS

I just made 2 more orders 1 S9 each, using DHL. I saw BCH price dropping and wanted to lock in...

Could always change it,, hmmmm.

I was debating rather to hodl BCH, or spend on miners. maybe save until Bitmain releases something new...

but then I remembered Coinbase will allow BCH withdraws starting in January and I feel value will drop.

Thoughts ??

What is the best shipping method to USA?

UPS , DHL, or FedEx?

Already have one coming in from DHL. Thought I would experiment with the 2 other options? FedEx it asks for additional information tho, one or more of : EIN, import number, VAT, SSN.

Thoughts??

The power supplies are mainly just supplying the power required by the miner, they are using little for their own operation.  So a Power supply for each L3+ would only increase your power usage minimally at the wall.  Plus it makes sure you are not going to over tax the power supply so much that you have a higher chance of running into catastrophic failure.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. That was my original thought.  Makes sense.

Taking a look at the Bitmain power supply, the next batch only has 10 PCIe connectors so you can only run 1 L3+ on each one which is disappointing. Does this make it half as efficient? I was really hoping to plug up 2 L3s per power supply unit, like you have setup.

any recommendations on other possible power supplies ?

or just get one APW3++ for each unit?.. wouldn't this waste more energy ?

Very awesome and impressive set up your have there sir! Really inspiring hearing you're from Florida as well  Cool

I have been thinking about putting something together for a while now. After seeing yours I'm more determined than ever.

So you definitely recommend going with the L3+ to mine Lite instead of the S9 to mine BTC correct?

This would back up my other buddy which is in the industry recommend against mining bitcoin because its way too crowded.

Anyways best of luck my fellow Floridian. Cheers!
