1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: October 01, 2018, 05:30:15 PM
@ttookk there is currently a large community of active testers, people hosting nodes etc., a hypothetical copycat wouldn't have the same community, so there is that to consider for starters

Is there anywhere I can buy more MYST? - perhaps some sort of ETH token escrow

Thanks for the heads up, can't wait to move to blocknet dex, hope they get that platform ready soon
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've compared Syscoin, Bitbay & Particl - Decentralized Markets Comparison Table on: November 05, 2017, 11:25:53 PM
I agree, I don't know a great deal about this space, but Safex seems like a great project/community, and is no more vapourware than many projects out there (e.g. particl) - in fact development seems to be stepping up, but perhaps some bigger investor of safex can chime in here

There's likely to be space for many marketplaces with features unique to them, so perhaps we don't need to start a war, other than to say this certainly one to watch out for
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: August 28, 2017, 11:40:55 AM
in my honest opinion if blocknet had a much cooler name then the FOMO would be crazy.

But this one has more beauty inside compared to a lot of well marketed coins.

Blocknet is a great name
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on: August 08, 2017, 01:00:08 PM
Litecoin is already well adopted and often used instead of bitcoin for the transfer of money due to its speed, it is also fairly stable relative to some cryptos. Litecoin has technologies such as Lightning that Bitcoin cash does and will not have. IMO Bitcoin cash has got some catching up to do if it wants to challenge litecoin.

@Optimiza that's the experience I hope to have - is this possible? I am not sure how the DX will work exactly from the user viewpoint

Same problem. Very frustrating as I missed the soft cap as a result.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] The new web | IPFS ready on testnet+IPFS gateway! Come in and play! on: May 21, 2017, 02:08:49 PM
How do Maidsafe and Shift differ a lot? I am not well versed in the technical details, but on the surface Shift sounds like an interesting project.

The Maidsafe website talks about files being split into parts and distributed throughout the network, Shift talks about 101 delegates - are files also split into parts like Maidsafe?

Why is there a limit of 101 delegates? - does Maidsafe also have such a limit? It seems having the files spread across more hosts would be more secure.

I am also wondering, does shift have it's own associated domain suffix? Is there a way that the use of a DNS is not required?

Sorry for potentially naive questions, perhaps they have been already answered but this is quite a large thread.
