1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] ValueCash - CRYPTOCURRENCY REFORMATION BEYOND LIMITS | 0 Tx Fee on: February 07, 2018, 05:20:21 AM
I see only 3 people participating in article and video campaigns, I think to introduce a project requires participants of article and video campaigns because I think they are very influential

Truely they are influential but not everyone are good at writing an article talk more of creating a video campaign, so I think each person is focusing on his or her strong area.
2  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Unconfirmed transactions on: January 05, 2018, 02:14:11 PM
I'm far from a math or Bitcoin guru, but I have a quick question. At 185,000 unconfirmed transactions and 100 transactions a second, if we all took a chill pill for 30 minutes, wouldn't the BlockChain be clear? Thanks in advance!

It will be, but the number of new transactions that occurs every seconds might be far more than the 100 confirmed transactions and some of the new transactions will definitely be ones with higher Transaction fees and Miners will take the ones with higher fees and abadon old ones with lower fees....So it will continue to occur, we have to live with it in my own opinion.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Proof of Trade - PoT Protocol (What yours Opinion on this new tech) on: January 05, 2018, 01:31:22 PM
I stumbled upon this Thread and choose to ask you Guys your opinion.....If its what investing some bucks or not?

THE VALUECASH PoT PROTOCOL

The PoT protocol is configured to put power into the hands of the ValueCash community by becoming validators to the transactions they perform and get rewarded for performing the transaction. Each trade transaction completed between a Buyer and a Merchant will generate 10% new coin of the transaction value in price performed between the 2 parties, this means that new ValueCash will be generated after every successful transaction between a Buyer and a Merchant. For instance, if Mr. A buys an iPhone from Mr. B worth 100 XVL, 10% of the transaction value which is 10 XVL, will be created as new ValueCash coin and will be distributed among the Buyer, Merchant, Affiliate and ValueCash Project Development in the ratio 5:2:1:2 respectively.

This implies that buyers get 5% discount each time they patronise a merchant using ValueCash as a payment option, merchants get additional 2% profit for product or service they offer, affiliates get a lifetime reward of 1% when they are able to introduce merchants to accept ValueCash as a payment option while the ValueCash Project Development team gets 2% for the Security of the ValueCash Blockchain network, future development and Marketing.

4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Multiple blockchain on: January 04, 2018, 02:24:17 PM
Hello sir/madam,

I'm a newbie in blockchain technology.

I'm in the process of learning the necessary tools in building our project.

We plan on building a decentralized DNS similar to blockstack and a decentralized storage similar to Storj.

These two platform should work together to achieve our goal.

QUESTION:

How many blockchain do we need for that two platforms? We are planning to use Bitcoin blockchain for this project.

You only need one Blockchain to get it done...Just write a document for the functonalities of your blockchain and get a god developer to look into it, they will be able to create a solution for the two..
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Instant crypto payments in stores on: January 04, 2018, 01:59:35 PM
Imagine the year 2025, when everyone has wallets with different crypto's in it: people will probably want to buy things with it in stores. The problem is that people do not want to wait half an hour for several block confirmations.

Will there ever be a world where people can pay with any cryptocurrency in a store? Will we need some kind of smaller 'buffer' wallet, that allows people to buy things instantly with a crypto paycard, so that the actual amount is taken from the address later? What about all these different cryptocurrencies; you can't ask a store to have 500 different wallets.

Just curious if there is a solution to this problem.

There will be, with emerging tech such with speed like ripple and this Tangle Tech Used by IOTA....There is infinite possibility...Only that cryptos without good Value might not be possible for such use.
6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: tutorial on bitcoin arbitrage bot on: January 04, 2018, 12:56:18 PM
I was thinking of creating a simple arbitrage bot that sell/buy from 2 exchanges based on the price difference between best bid/ask price. I have minimal programming knowledge..is it a daunting task? Thanks for the help.

its possible....Check Brutus Software.....www.starbit.com.....But i did not enjoy it when i bought it I have to return it because of its complexity.....But it can give you Idea of what you want to create...They used about 4 exchanges...But i think Two exchanges will make it easier for you and the Brutus Software as other features that makes it complex.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset? on: January 04, 2018, 12:26:12 PM
Bitcoin’s very volatile prices have reignited the debate about its usefulness as a currency or as an asset. In some ways, Bitcoin suits the definition of currency quite adequately but if the volatility is less. It allows for the creation of secure and transparent transactions. Thus, can be used as a secondary currency in future. Some of the experts have huge concerns over its volatility. But, sooner or later the prices may remain less volatile as of today.

I have mentioned few points about Bitcoin as a currency or as an asset in my article here: https://atozforex.com/news/is-bitcoin-a-currency-or-asset/

What's your opinion about BTC as a currency or an asset?

Suggestions and comments appreciated  Smiley Wink

Its both
8  Economy / Goods / Re: Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: January 04, 2018, 11:50:32 AM
In these times of Mass scammers out there, I urge people to use an escrow. There are many good members out there willing to help to secure the bitcoin community, There are also more people willing to do anything to scam you out of your coins, Please just do your research on someone before you part with your hard earned coins.

An escrow list - updated 11/17

Note to mod, I know this is in the wrong section as I am not selling anything, I feel we all need to be wiser, People in the selling forums are less likely to look elsewhere for information on what this is and how it is acheved,
Even if a few people read this and use escrow, Or a few scammers don't get their coins, I will consider this a good job.
Please consider not moveing out the way, This needs to be addressed.

** jan 16

There is a new wave of possible scammers, People who buy up legendary accounts and trade untill they have large sum of money then run, This has been done with a very trusted account recently.

Please be cautious, I am trying to set up a 3 way secure key escrow for my personal escrows to add peace of mind.

I would like to point out, that I do not partake in escrowing forum accounts, I never have and never will, in fact its against the rules on my forum, This is a trust based commodity as it stands, if we keep moving the goal posts as well as the stadium, no one can be accountable for theft!

Keep safe people, dont give up, trust in BTC, suspect people :-)

** April 17

please watch out for fake accounts made to look like hero/legendary escrow accounts, check the join date and the letters of the name exatly! some use numerical 0 instead of alphabetical O, and please watch out for sold accounts! this forum allows selling of any account, so make it difficult to know who's still real, I do not allow selling of accounts on my forum  Roll Eyes

Good Job....Escrow is the best thing to safeguard ourself in transactions of this era
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple = Centralized??? think again 😊 on: January 04, 2018, 06:51:03 AM
Yes it is and it will never change in being Centralized, I doubt about it at the very first time that I knew it was centralized because the essence of most of the crypto currency is to be decentralized and not being controlled by any, most of all regulations from authorities but here comes the Ripple.

Theymos already made a thread about his idea with different cryptos besides Bitcoin here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2095328.0 and he qouted Ripple to be '100% centralized'

this thread is interesting and educative....
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 04, 2018, 05:45:25 AM
Yes ETH can reach BTC's value but not in the near future, ethereum and btc shares problems like poor transaction confirmation speed, congested network and small blocksize.

I think you are very Right, coupled with high transaction charges and limited use for exchange for goods and services
