Just for the information, I also have problem with reseting my password (no email arrived). It is no big issue though and definitely not a priority. (There is nothing valuable in my account and I do not use this password anywhere else.)

i reset the password with no problems at all 2 days ago, that's strange....

why they will hack slush pool especially???

I think because this was, similarly to Linode issue, an inside job. I don't have any indices that other bitcoin-related servers at OVH has been hacked as well (yet), but the scenario how all this happen indicates that somebody has been able to get password recovery email somehow. And what's the salary of administrator of OVH mailing server?

you think ddos and hack are connected???

ddos gonna escalate in my opinion,we must implement some countermeasures, like udp and icmp filtering or engress filtering...

You can't counter DDOS, assuming it is organized 'right'.

we can use http://www.koddos.com/  or cloudfare to crank up the bw in order to migitate the ddos...

pool is up???

pool is up but still under heavy ddos attack. im still not getting a connection just timing out

also mitigating of ddos is simple aslong as its a simple ddos attack slush is a very smart guy and can easily solve simple ddos attacks so im assuming this is either a bot net ddos multiple ip addresses rotating and causing mayhem or one of the newer ddos attacks where there using internet gateways to attack the dns. either way its not a simple one to solve.

the easiest ways to solve ddos is havr more bandwith than the attackers but this comes at a price there are people that do this the famous one being cloudflare or koddos but they cost

is it possible to catch some packets with wireshark or other program and see what type are, and then block udp and icmp and use egress filtering???
