1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block erupters and Raspberry Pi problem on: November 28, 2013, 05:32:43 PM
Can you give me a tip what hub I should use?
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Block erupters and Raspberry Pi problem on: November 28, 2013, 07:29:16 AM
I had two block erupters running on a Raspberry Pi with cgminer 3.1.1. (with a powered hub). All worked fine.
Then I received two new block erupters and I added them to the powered hub. It all worked.
After a while one of the first block erupters was giving a lot of HW errors and all the block erupters stopped working every now and then.
I thought the block erupter was broken. I took it out and tried it on my desktop with cgminer 3.3.4 It worked fine and also the other three on the Raspberry Pi started working fine again.

What can I do now? I want all four of them on my Raspberry Pi. Should I update cgminer to 3.3.4? I read somewhere that the newer versions of cgminer don't work well with a Raspberry Pi.

And how is it possible that one block erupter can determine the working of the other three?

Thanks for your replies

Both erupters are in a powered hub.
Usually when one stops it gives a solid green light, but that wasn't the case. It looked like it was working just fine: flashing green lights, but cgminer only noticed shares of the other erupter.
Very strange, I do hope it doesn't happen again. I keep an eye on my hashrate at Slush's....

I use Slush's pool. I believe difficulty is set automatically nowadays so that can't be the problem. Both erupters are on the same worker.
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / block erupter seems to work, but doesn't submit shares on: November 05, 2013, 07:19:32 AM
I have two block erupters working with a Raspberry Pi. Everything worked just fine.
This morning however I noticed that only one of my block erupters was submitting shares. They both were flashing the green lights, cgminer recognised both erupters, but only one submitted shares.
After restarting cgminer everything worked fine again.

Does anyone know what happened? And what can I do about it to prevent this happening in the future?

Thanks

I got it working again. With Catalyst 12.1 and cgminer 3.1.1

Thanks

12.10 doesn't work. I will try the other ones this week.
Maybe I need an older version of cgminer?

Ah yes, KWH of course, I'm sorry. I haven't tried those yet. I was hoping someone could point me into the right direction, before I start trying them all one by one Smiley

I've already tried 13-4 . It doesn't work.
It's an older card. I believe I need an older driver but I can't seem to find one that's suitable for Windows 7 64bits
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / LTC mining problems on: September 14, 2013, 12:27:13 PM
I try to get my card mining again after installing a new OS: Windows 7 64bit pro.
cgminer(3.3.4) crashes “cgminer detected a problem and must be closed”. I’m running Catalyst 13.10_beta and I have a AMD 5770.
What Catalyst and SDK do I need?

thanks

Thanks Sam, I will

Sigh,
I tried the betaversion of Catalyst, but my problems stay the same. Maybe there is something else wrong? When I try to mine with GUIminer. My fan starts working and GuIminer says my card is hashing, but there is an error "verification failed, check hardware".
When I try to use cgminer (3.3.4) with no flags or extra's: just server, worker, password, it says:
MTX: ICarus USB failed to get  'cg-usb-1-1' - device in use and it crashes.

I have two blockerupters running. Maybe that's the problem? How do I tell cgminer that he has to use the card?
When I stop my blockerupters and start cgminer, it also crashes.
My blockerupters work perfectly on cgminer...

Eventually I do want to mine LTC with my card, but for now I'm more used to bitcoin mining. I thought: if I got it work mining bitcoins, then I know nothing is wrong with my card and I can start working on LTC.

At the moment my GPU isn't overclocked because it gets hot really fast

13  Bitcoin / Mining support / window 7 64bits problems on: September 09, 2013, 02:38:34 PM
I've updated my computer and OS and now I'm not able to get my grafic card mining again.
I use Windows 7 64bit pro and I have an ATI 5770 card.
I understand that Catalyst 13.4 gives problems with Windows 7, but I can't seem to find an older Catalyst that works with 64bits. Link anyone?

Idea's anyone?
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: August 05, 2013, 02:06:22 PM
Thanks Kano,

I still don't have more than one Block Erupter working on my Windows XP. Everytime I plug in another one, Windows gives me code 42 "duplicate device".

Is there a solution for this (other than buying a hub, I just have 2 erupters and lots of USB-ports)

Thanks
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: August 01, 2013, 01:24:08 PM
I hope somebody can help me.
I use Windows XP and have 3 block erupters. One is working fine with cgminer 3.1.1
I followed the instructions, used the toUARTBridgeVCPDrivers and Zadig.

When I try to install a second (or a third) one, Windows gives an error and says: " I can't load the driver because there is already an exactly the same piece of hardware."

So There isn't a new COM popping up in the hardwaremanager and Zadig doesn't see the second one.

What can I do?

I got my payout last night, but I didn't received the email.

Don't worry about block 18405. I'm sure it will be adjusted as usually. It's because there were two blocks right after one another.

I have a question:

Yesterday I tried CGMiner instead of Phoenix . I noticed that the hashrate was a bit higher, but CGMiner didn't find as much shares as Phoenix did. How is that possible?
With Phoenix I have a hashrate of ca 207 mh/s, but according to the calculated hashrate on my profilepage it's more like 220.
With CGMiner I was the other way around. CGMiner said hashrate = 212 mh/s and the calculated hashrate on my profilepage said 180 mH/s
My reward was also much less than usual.

Thanks

It seems to me that how higher the pool's hashrate, the longer the blocks. But that can't be correct, isn't it?

I'm on the forum for more than 19 hours. I just don't have that many things to say and the things I want to say, I can' t say because I'm not able to post in the thread where I wanna post.....
Strange rule.....

I guess we have to post and wait....
