All I would say is if you have any bitcoins or cash at MtGox; get it out now!  You can't fight the US gov, you just have to stay out of their way.

Seriously! A little country the size of New Mexico kicked the shit out of the USA for decades making USA troops withdraw in shame because a small group of highly motivated radicals back home like the people on this forum refused to bend over and take it up the ass.

I'm talking about Vietnam for those that can't figure it out.

Vietnam didn't kick the shit out of me or anyone I know. Nor did we withdraw in shame. We outfought them in every major battle and most small ones. Americans did not want to continue the fight and thus lost the will to continue supporting the South Vietnamese Government. We withheld supplies and aid And they fell to the North.  Those are the facts. I have friends who died kicking the shit out of them. Words have meaning. Please be careful you don't dishonor the memory of those who fell in battle. I fought there and so did many others in this forum. While Vietnam fell those who died fought for freedom, human dignity and for their loved ones back home. These ideas were worth dying for then and there are Americans and others dying thruout the world for those same ideals now.

Wow that took a long time. I was wondering if their we're any other old Vietnam vets on this forum. The Vietnam police action was a complete waste of human life and resources. I just see Vietnam as Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara's decision to kill a bunch of people in the jungle because the French couldn't. We didn't even get cheaper oil prices for that one. Intelligent citizens back home fought in the streets to stop that "police action."

I lost lots of friends and had wounded family because of Vietnam and I'm here to tell you we weren't fighting for freedom. We were doing the same thing 'Merica does today - sticks their nose in other countries business. Thank GOD there were strong young people marching in the streets back home that put enough pressure on government to stop it or we would probably have escalated it to nuclear.
I know what I was fighting for and I know what my friends were fighting for. I don't know who you are taking about when you use the word "we" but your not referring to me or any other person I knew there. I don't care about the French or MacNamara. If it makes you happy to spit on the memory of those who died I can't stop you. This is the last I will post about this.

6  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Importing armory private key into blockchain info wallet on: May 13, 2013, 06:07:06 AM
I tried both of the formats you listed however it didn't work. Granted it most likely my fault. I also have bitcoin-qt and mutibit wallets would it be easier trying them?
7  Bitcoin / Armory / Importing armory private key into blockchain info wallet on: May 13, 2013, 03:18:37 AM
I have been unable to export my private key from armory into my blockchain wallet.  It always says it cannot read the code format. Also I have tried exporting into mutibit and no luck. I have a Mac laptop and bitcoin-qt has stopped syncing at 98.59% so I am unable to send my bitcoins to my other bitcoin wallet addresses. It has been very frustrating.  I have no idea what I am doing wrong. does anyone have a solution?  Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

I purchased 4 $100 Bitcoin Gift cards through Jagoo.net and was shocked at how few bitcoins I actually received.  Just a heads up to pay attention to the going giftcoin.me exchange rate which adds around 60% to the cost of the bitcoins they deliver.

Take a look at http://giftcoins.me  they are currently delivering btc @ an exchange rate of $113.29/1btc (mt.gox is currently at $75.39) Thats an insane profit margin if you ask me.  Unfortunately for me they weren't posting their exchange rate prior to my gift card purchase so I guess I'm just s.o.l.

Live and learn.
I ordered a 200 gift card. And they never gave me btc. I would never trust them again.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: paper wallet on: April 29, 2013, 01:10:51 AM
I've bought btc as mtgox.
How is the procedure to transfer part of them to a paper wallet? Where I get the private key?

Actually, you do not need (paper wallet's) private key for sending BTC into it. You need only paper wallet's address (which is actually hashed public key in Base58 format). Private key is needed only when you want to spend something from paper wallet.
that is good information thank you
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet are you using? on: April 29, 2013, 01:09:15 AM
So which wallet are people using?

I know there's the "official" Bitcoin-Qt, but also Electrum, Armory, MultiBit, etc. So far, I've been using Qt but am getting annoyed at the transaction fees I have been paying to send BTC.

Any suggestions, and please give a reason. Thanks!
I use Armory and Bitcoin-Qt

This seems like a bizarre limitation to get started. It seems like it will be a huge barrier to adoption.
it is not to hard to buy ripple xrp from members on the ripple forum. I really didn't have any problem  good luck to all

But I can't post there yet. What do I have to do to be able to post there?
. I've been wondering that myself

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Jagoo and Giftcoins are a scam?! on: April 28, 2013, 01:51:49 AM
Jagoo and giftcoins are a scam!!!  I ordered a $200 giftcard and redeemed the card on the their other site. They sent me an email saying they sent me btc and time stamped it. Later when I did not receive btc I emailed them and asked why. He wanted me to send a picture of me holding my card so they could see the card number. What a jerk!  I checked with my credit card company and the transaction had gone through. I reported what they said about taking a picture me holding the card with the numbers showing and now I am posting to the forum what happened.
I'm alI don't know why they were not sending me btc like they said they had, but no way am I sending them a picture of my card. This guy really did me a favor as his rates were way over the top. Btc was at $130.00 and they charged me for btc at $157.
Wow, I don't mind a person making a profit but that and the $18 fee is nothing but a ripoff. Maybe it was just me but I'm willing to bet there are several others in the forum that have had the same kind of treatment. Visa has received numerous complaints about this vender. So be warned!
