1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: October 01, 2019, 12:23:05 AM
Ethereum, being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has all the potential of replacing Bitcoin in the future. It's more than just a cryptocurrency, being a platform for the development and execution of smart contracts (aka dApps). With ETH, it's possible to launch alternative cryptocurrencies without the need to start a Blockchain from scratch. It's also possible to use the ETH blockchain for other purposes such as voting, proof of identity, verification of documents, and more. In contrast, Bitcoin's only use is for finance where it cannot be implemented in other areas by its own.

Given all of the benefits Ethereum provides on top of Bitcoin, it makes me wonder whenever it'll be able to replace the pioneer cryptocurrency within the future? As long as, Ethereum keeps progressing in development and mainstream acceptance, it'll be much closer to Bitcoin every step of the way. What are your thoughts? Huh

Good observations but it seem like you are forgetting one thing which is trust!
People trust bitcoin more than any other cryptocurrency out there regardless of the functionalities.
The less that the person could be tracked is more better in the cryptocurrency scene. Ethereum should be one of the victors of accomplishing that though it will not overtake Bitcoin.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple not dead? on: October 01, 2019, 12:20:30 AM
I doubt if ripple can be dead easily because they keep on expanding and thy have some unknown financial backing.

Don't know about Ripple being dead, but as long as Ripple's XRP will be calling a 'long-term investment for several years',
it's going to be afloat.

My last post was in accord with your positions. Ripple has chosen their market wisely. IMO, the
worst case scenario is they are acquired by their top customers and/or one of the ‘big buoys’.

Early investors should be richly rewarded for their foresight and patience…

My point is, as a clear majority of the contributors on this thread agree,
Ripple is not A Complete Fin-Tech Solution in combination with an Authentic
Trustless Capital Currency.

A Cryptocurrency Ecosystem or Cryptosphere Capable of Meeting the Needs of
Hundreds of Millions of Consumers, Traders and Trans-Actors on a Truly Global Scale.

The Monetary Eco-System must be Trustless, Decentralized, Anonymized and
'Secured' by Validated Eco-System GDP. Driving Rate of Adoption, Fungibility,
Network Services, Exchange and Utility Values. And , most importantly, transparent
Price/value discovery.

Without that you don’t know what it’s worth, whatever the bid/ask it’s still speculation.

It would all have to depend on a legit platform. If the coin was built just for the developers then the coin will fail hard.

Ripple has been doing a lot of promoting for Crypto so it is highly unlikely that their company will fall hard anytime soon though.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: artificial intelligence can be dangerous on: October 01, 2019, 12:18:36 AM
Artificial intelligence is somewhere being good and bad to humanity
everything is dangerous, when it is use , or in the hands of criminals
artificial intelligence is dangerous because if it evolves and has its own decisions
it will control and take over the world, because he will learn that we are destroying the world
and  it might try to eliminate us , who created them, there is an artificial intelligence that is made in japan
i'm not sure of the date, once it started, the AI started to feel strange, she just told to the
viewers that she feels alone, which she is not program for, the project is shuts down for good
and no one hears from the AI until now

AI could be dangerous for the people in Japan sexually and could cause a decline in the population growth. People are into weird things but I think it's not that serious.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: David Marcus, Coinbase CEO show supports for Facebook Libra on: October 01, 2019, 12:17:16 AM
hmm.. it will be interesting, considering the most haters for LIBRA is came from USA, and now, coinbase itself support what the government hates.
however, as far i know, although US goverment hate them so much, they seems won't ban libra for sure.
i just think it seems Not a wise thing to do in an industry where the typical advantages of the US market.
moreover ,the coinbase's attitude in favor of libra makes the government must be more prudent in dealing with it.
Libra is not that big of an issue. In Asia there's a lot of payment platforms and stable coins. Having Libra is not going to hurt the market, it would help it by reducing the amount of people meaninglessly hoarding Bitcoin.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: October 01, 2019, 12:15:24 AM
I think the best way to find good altcoin is by looking at the trading volume, trading exchanges, and the market capitalization history. You have to study the altcoin growth history carefully including userbase, community, and how good the team of developers are. I think finding good altcoin is easy but people are not doing the proper market research.
I agree with you indeed we have to do it all so we can know which is good altcoin and which are not,
but doing research like that does require exact time and also has to be patient
The top coins would cause the newer people a steadier feeling in investing because of all of those factors listed above. I think it's best for investors to look at the top coins only.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about PAYA coin? on: October 01, 2019, 12:14:06 AM
Lol I can think like this for any coin in crypto space..I can even create my own and say ' what if you buy 1000 baro today..it will be 1 mil dollar in 2098 '. nobody would believe that and invest in any coin, it is really funny.
Yeah, it is something that people believe though.
Slogans like that should remind people of HYIIP websites and how "Legit" they are.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Altcoins? on: October 01, 2019, 12:13:00 AM
I do not speculate coins because it requires a high hope, I prefer to you to study technical analysis in order to understand the chart and for you to forecast its price.  You can have idea to its price and you can also grow your altcoins.
I try not to speculate on the price of coins because of that same thing as well. I like to just invest in the coin and try to see if I could use them and their blockchain.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: abandoned coins on: October 01, 2019, 12:11:30 AM
Crypto  investors are now  wise  so there  is  no way  you can trade shitcoin with  anyone.  We  all have  allot  of shitcoin and  tokens  so I wont  advise  you  start  trading shitcoin with  anyone because  shitcoin is always a shitcoin.  There is no way your discord group can revive  any shitcoin.
I doubt it. There's a lot of coins that are worth nothing trying to sell on the market for USD. Exchange websites have fake volume on there to help that case.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any successful bounty projects since 2018? on: October 01, 2019, 12:10:19 AM
99% of the bounties today are scams by people who are just looking to pump and dump their coin after creating a bunch of hype. if you have been part of one of these scams in the past, then you will know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, we need more regulation in the space before such fraudulent activities can stop.
He should've made a poll for this year. Last year, there was a lot of successful Bounties from what I read. This year was not that good, about a 99% scam rate.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why decentralized ? on: October 01, 2019, 12:07:42 AM
The difference between central and decentralized does not only include privacy but also governance. And the combination of these two factors is very important both financially and sociologically.

And I can say absolutely, that's exactly what we need. Because if we want to talk about real freedom and will, decentralization is what we need.
It's kind of funny how brain-washed people are on Bitcointalk. Just because there's a coin that is decentralized -it doesn't meant that the person has freedom.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about PAYA coin? on: October 01, 2019, 12:06:22 AM
They used the word "Imagine it the value of paya will go up to $1000" emphasis on the word Imagine meaning it's a speculation.
Most coins that have phrases like that usually don't have any implication of it having a real price range. I would stay away from that coin and invest in something else.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust New wallets with your fund on: October 01, 2019, 12:05:04 AM
I only use wallet that have good background and reviews. It is really preferable for us to be sure that our coins are safe and secured. There are wallets that have weak security thats why there are many issues about lost of fund.
I do the same thing though I mainly just use a Desktop wallet. Having a hardware wallet is a bit too much because it calls for a lot of clunky features.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best time to keep investing? market is crumbling again on: October 01, 2019, 12:03:52 AM
Your decision is a good idea especially if you know how to wait or you can store your investment for a long term one as the market price will surely recover. That is how the market works and that is what I am doing also, I keep on buying once the market price will down atleast 30%.

Buy low and sell high is the principle of investment so the best time to invest is once the market price will crumble.
It is a personal matter. Some people like to wait till the price goes up so they could ride the pump that could possibly make them some money.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Look For In A Bounty Campaign on: October 01, 2019, 12:02:44 AM
The first thing I look is the team behind that project, it is the most important aspect of a blockchain company. A strong team always does great things in long term. Second, I consider how they treat people in their social media.
I do no like projects who do not answer question or when they are rude. Also, if they want KYC, I'm a little skeptical!
The team is a nice thing to look at before joining a Bounty campaign.
I also look at the age of the campaign. The older the campaign is usually better.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: artificial intelligence can be dangerous on: October 01, 2019, 12:00:34 AM
Everything have their pros and cons. By just using it we will know if it's beneficial or not. It might be dangerous in some areas depending on what purpose it is intended to but Artificial Intelligence is part of the society's development as well blockchain in this technology era. This two can be helpful if we design to use in a good purposes and manner.
Computers are built by humans with a specific code. I think that it is impossible for a computer  to have a super bad purpose and no one could stop it. Though, yes there is a lot of  pro's and con's with AI.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts you won't invest in on: September 30, 2019, 11:59:12 PM
Don't do invest if the alts is new only here in crypto like better to study this well for long before taking risk because for me different developer can say or tell everybody that their alts is good so in short this is not already trusted with high risk then better to rely in the past alts that do already their plan and if this grow already like again in again even this drops
I agree, the newer coins are very bad to invest in. The smarter choice would be to invest in the coins that are ranked in the top 10 places.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: September 30, 2019, 11:58:13 PM
I use my cryptocurrencies in different ways like gambling, paying bills, spending it online but the most purpose of cryptocurrencies for me is trading it. There a lot of potential rewards that I can earn from trading.
I like to spend the Crypto that I earn on investments. The coins that are being used in the investment gives me more rewards for my work.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking decisions on: September 30, 2019, 11:57:14 PM
We should always think twice before we buy an altcoins,
We can lose a lot of money if we didn't study our investment strategy. We should always consider the risk that we are taking.
You would also have to be careful to not spend too much time thinking about getting the coin because the opportunity to make the purchase could go away.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🚀[ANN] BXB EXCHANGE - Dedicated to Serving Individuals📢📢 on: June 28, 2019, 03:36:56 AM
This game is very addictive. Unstoppable
It's only avaibale to people outside of the restricted areas that is listed on their Homepage. That would stop people from visiting the website.

What makes that website any different from the other ones out there?

Good day, due to the uncertainty of the regulations, we currently do not support users from China, USA, and a few other smaller countries.
Please kindly take a look at our Terms of Service https://bxb.io/bxb-terms-of-service

Well, there are over 1000 exchanges, so the main difference is:

1. We focus on individual traders the most, we provide easy to use Android/iPhone/PC applications.
2. Options and futures trading.
3. Gamified trading products, such as Tap-Trading/Auto-Trading, which allows increasing your possible trading profits (due to the 100X leverage) in a fun way.

Please check this video out for more details https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVdr1LbITGE

Thanks!
Thanks for the reply.
I read through your Terms of Service page, is there any reason why the spacing is made that way? I also see a lot spacing errors when there is an apostrophe inside of a phrase as well.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anything can be bought by Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2019, 03:20:34 AM
If we used bitcoin as a payment maybe we cannot buy anything, but if we are going to used or convert bitcoin into fiat we can now buy everthing. So i think it is almost the same thing we can buy anything but we have to convert it first.
Well, that kind of defeats the purpose of having Bitcoin because you would lose out on a portion of the money with transfer fees. There's a lot of shops that already accept Bitcoin, the progress of more stores wanting to change their payment system moves very slowly.
