For the long term I would suggest Ethereum since this crypto has proven itself enough, it will be around for a long time and is rather a low risk when you compare it to other crypto's

For the short term I still think NEO has a long way to go, see it as the Ethereum for Asia. Other companies like Facebook, Google etc. always have a hard time getting users in Asia. So I do believe NEO can become the Ethereum for China.

Other short-term crypto's I would suggest are omiseGO (OMG) a cool project based upon Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin is also very active in the development of this project, you should check it out.

For the really short term  I would suggest District0x (DNT). They just announced they are going to be listed on binance next week monday so they will prob. have a price increase by then. You can get some DNT on the liqui exchange.

On the first of June they announced their first full time developer named; "Shaolinfry" - joined the Litecoin team voluntarily in 2016 and has shown significant contribution and strong technical competence throughout the past one year.
Some days ago I saw that they were going to hire a second FT-developer since they got enough donations on the litecoin foundation but they haven't picked a person yet (can't find that message back, but can't find it. Maybe I dreamt it xd)

Hey, guys. I have been following LiteCoin for quite a while now and I was interested what the opinion of you guys is about LiteCoin.

When you check out their Twitter, Reddit, and forum they all claim that LTC is the new big thing since they already implemented SegWit and will be implementing Lightning Network. But of course, the people on these channels are most likely Litecoin enthusiasts so I was interested in the opinion of you guys.

Litecoin:
- Implemented Segwit (had a major price increase due to this)
- Will be implementing Lightning Network (soon). I can't find an exact date on this if someone knows it, please share it!
- Just hired 2 full-time developers, have reached it quite far without any full-time developers so I am curious what their effect will be.

People all claim that Litecoin is VERY underrated and should increase in price. Any opinions on this? I think that if they bring out lightning network it is bound to happen.

What is the kWh price in your area? I have always been interested in mining and thought it would be cool to setup some equipment, but with an energy price of €0.21 per kWh in my country it just doesn't seem really efficient to me.

Hey, guys I just did some research on the coin virtacoin Plus. I haven't heard from this coin before but I saw some reactions on various websites that were rather enthusiastic about this crypto.

So I just looked some things up; they have an active community supporting the coin but the homepage and online wallet for this currency; virtacoinwallet.eu looks really amateurish.

Apparently, they are going to bring out a marketplace named virtacoinworld where you can buy all sort of things; https://virtacoinworld.com
And they are really trying to get themselves on the bigger exchanges out there.

It all looks a bit amateurish to me, yet some people think this is the new big thing.

What is your opinion on this coin + potential marketplace?
