1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / liqui still wont return bitcoin i sent to my own withdraw address accidentally, on: November 01, 2017, 10:31:22 PM
I made a short post of this back at the beginning of August. It has been ongoing with Liqui, so i need to bring this to everyones attention. I hate airing out my dirty laundry in public and really tried to sort this out with liqui, the last thing i wanted to do was  write publicly about this. I will also send this link to liqui so they are free to comment on my post.

At the end of July I tried to  sent  bitcoin from my poloniex account to my ledger nano. but sent it to my liqui withdraw address, this is what happened:

I had just received my ledger nano 1 week before and had only received bitcoin once before. The bitcoin i had received before i had sent from my liqui account, i have 100 percent proof as  the txid of the bitcoin sent from liqui  that had arrived at my ledger, matched with my ledger nano identifier number

Unfortunately for me i accidentally copied and pasted the withdraw address of liqui a few days later where i had received my only bitcoin transaction from. instead of my ledger nano receive address.
I pasted this address for withdraw from my poloniex account, so instead of sending it to my ledger nano i sent it to my old liqui withdraw address. My withdraw address had since changed.

Now if i had sent this to some random address i would of been upset but i would have taken complete responsibility and written it off. However because i sent it back to 1 Liqui a reputable exchange and 2 my own withdraw address, you would think they would have the decency to properly investigate and return it out of good faith. If you think otherwise and i should accept the loss or you think they should of returned it please feel free to comment. I really want to know what everyone thinks on this.

I sent photos TXID addresses etc.

First reply i from them was TXID please

so i sent that, a week later no response so i wrote back again.

Two weeks later still no response so i wrote again and said i was going to write a post about it on this forum if they dont help solve the issue but i never did and a month after this was the response from liqui

Please, keep your threats with you.
Sorry for huge delay with response.
Clarify what exactly you did wrong.
Also provide me with all the TXIDs(BTC) were made to wrong address.
Also provide existing liqui BTC address, and proofs that you owned another BTC address on liqui.

So i had a go at them and asked them if they had not read any previous messages with TXID or seen the photos where i had all that info. And then i sent everything again!

Then we were sending messages back and forth, them telling me i had sent it someone else is address. And me showing photos that my first BTC sent from liqui TXID

so i explained again

I had just received my ledger nano 1 week before and had only received bitcoin once before. The bitcoin i had received before i had sent from my liqui account, i have 100 percent proof as  the txid of the bitcoin sent from liqui  that had arrived at my ledger, matched with my ledger nano identifier number

Unfortunately for me i accidentally copied and pasted the withdraw address of liqui a few days later where i had received my only bitcoin transaction from. instead of my ledger receive address.
I pasted this address for withdraw from my poloniex account, so instead of sending it to my ledger nano i sent it to my old liqui withdraw address. My withdraw address had since changed.

Then they never replied. Its been over 3 months. I actually do not believe liqui pocketed it, i think they have not followed it up properly or the person was incompetent from the support team.
I  hope with this post this will be followed up by them and they can comment here. I would like to hear what people think about this situation

it's was 6 days ago I emailed liqui with enough evidence to show exactly what happened. I emailed again on July 31. I still have had no reply.  I am starting to sweat on this what I sent is worth quite a bit of money. i am a complete idiot. I wish there was another way I could get through to someone other then just their support email.

had BTC on poloniex, accidentally i sent it to where its says the "last operations" area on the ledger page, on ledger nano  where it says Bitcoin address and underneath from.

I sent it to that address instead of receive. That was where my last bitcoin came from, which i sent from my  Liqui account . i thought ok well it will go to my liqui account, however when i checked it didnt, so i opened up the liqui deposit withdrawal  address and it was completely different to their address that i had received my last bitcoin from.  I have emailed liqui  but with this August 1st etc I don't know if this situation will or can be solved before then. any ideas on how I can recover my Bitcoin ?

Also on the new ledger nano i had added my etherwallet, and put in my altcoins and etherium. etherium shows up, but all the altcoins just saying loading, how can I get access to them?

I have a similar problem. I can log in to my account email, password 2fa.  however i need to create a ticket for support for another matter. When i go to the support page it logs me out, and to create a ticket i have to sign in again. Then it comes up with the same thing password and email do not match. So i can log in to my account but i cant log in to support to create a ticket, which means i cant even report the problem.  Huh? Any one else with this issue ? alva5763 has your issue been fixed? how did you get in to support to create a ticket? as it wants you to be logged in to do this
