I would like to create a list with tips and tricks for promoting an ico!It is clear that that
one of best ways to promote an ico is finding a trustworthy and experienced promoter here in the forum.
Nevertheless, as always in life, you gonna
need to have a basic understanding by yourself before you can give this very important job to a promoter/manager.
* The idea of creating the list came up because I'm currently working on 2 projects:

Just use the word blockchain, revolution and smartcontract a lot. Also make a whitepaper with a lot of content. Stuff it with nice hype cycle related words. Make a PDF and state that you have a unilateral partnership with Adobe. Make sure the whitepaper immediately kills the attention span. Nowadays only mentioning having a whitepaper or having a non functional link on your website with the name whitepaper is already enough in 9o% of the cases.
Furthermore make a signature here on bitcointalk with the name of your ICO. Open troll accounts and start topics like Waves vs -inserthenameofyourshitico-. Also participate in other discussion and mention things like I plan to buy inserthenameofyourshitico- and that you expect it to boom big time in the first two months.
Also project scarcity. Very import!!! Underscore that there is a limited supply available during a limited time.
Just do everything possible to circumvent people think about that whatever your ICO is about is just a smart way to collect easy money outside the regulatory overview. Also make sure that people think this really needs to be decentralized and on the blockchain. Centralization is just not an option for your product. Also pretend you are solving a real world problem. Even when the problem does not exists or the problem is there it cannot be solved by what your offering, just pretend there is a real world problem and that this real world problem is solved by your company.
Mentioning China also seems to work. Maybe also mentioning some banks or banking systems like swift. Always works
Last but not least...track down Amanda Johnson and drag her out of her camper. You need YouTube presence. If she is too expensive you can also recruit some borderline internet addicts from the ripple forum here on bitcointalk. They have enough manic periods to create a lot of online content to promote your ICO.
Good luck with your revolutionary ico.You can also just call Sasha Ivanov frokm the Waves platform. They have a streamlined process of how to lure people into buying your crap. Really professional guys. They know every trick in the book. Only precondition is that you offer your ICO on their platform. I mean even a Ferrari needs fuel to drive...
